I went through five of them during that cycle, all before my period finally arrived...

When mine actually turned positive, it was two bold, unmistakable lines—when negative, just one solid line.😛 Meanwhile, the Clearblue instructions mention three different variations—ranging from a heavy second line to one that’s barely there. I thought I saw a faint one the first time, but when my husband looked at it, he didn't see anything at all.🙂

God, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss...😢

Look, here's the thing: does your period usually come on schedule? Mine always did—so when it suddenly skipped, I panicked thinking I might be pregnant, even though I hadn't been active until ten days after my last cycle...

The reality is that false positives basically don't exist—if it shows a plus, you're pregnant (unless we're talking about specific medical conditions or rare tumors that trigger hCG production—I think I read that somewhere, but hCG is the pregnancy hormone, plain and simple. If the test says yes, it's a yes)

If you can't handle the suspense, just go get a blood test for hCG levels. That’s definitive, and you'll have your answer in a few hours...

Fingers crossed for you.

Good luck!
Steven Scott51 said:Hey everyone, it’s me again. For those who don't remember me—on Wednesday, I took two pregnancy tests and both came back positive. But by Monday, I started seeing some brown spotting. I panicked and headed to the ER since my OB-GYN is out on vacation, but they wouldn't give me any straight answers. The nurse basically hinted that the pregnancy might already be gone—apparently, my uterine lining looks thick, almost like I'm about to start my period. Then a nurse practitioner told me these are symptoms of a miscarriage and advised me to just take some prenatal vitamins and stay on bed rest until my appointment. Now I'm stuck in limbo... do I run another test right away, or just wait? Please, I could use some advice...🤷🤷😢

Seriously—what does a nurse have to say about your ultrasound results? Like, come on... she isn't the doctor.

I dealt with brown discharge and massive bleeding myself—and I didn't even stay in bed—but everything turned out fine. As long as you aren't dealing with heavy cramping and bleeding, you're probably okay.
Douglas Taylor2 said:I guess I was wondering if anyone here has ever had an experience where a Clearblue test gave a totally wrong result?

My period was late—I was already on day 36, when my cycle is usually strictly 26 to 28 days—and the test came back negative, even though I used it first thing in the morning...
My period still hadn't arrived, so I went to my doctor for a blood pregnancy test; by then, I was on day 50, and the HCG levels were at 3500 IU. To be absolutely certain, I grabbed another Clearblue and took it in the afternoon—it showed a massive positive.
So, don't lose hope just yet...

The whole month, I was under an incredible amount of stress at work—my manager was out, so I was running everything myself—and I honestly assumed the stress was why my period was late. Turns out, I was pregnant, and I didn't have a single symptom—no breast tenderness, no nausea, nothing specific at all... except for one night where I had some sharp abdominal pain and thought my period was finally coming, but looking back, it was probably just implantation... maybe.

Anyway, I really hope you get a positive result too.

I was so incredibly happy that I spent the whole day walking down the street with a huge grin on my face—so much so that a woman actually stopped me to ask what was wrong, and in my excitement, I ended up giving her $17—I don't know what came over me! :-))))
