Knocked out a baby tooth—what should I do? in Dentistry & Oral Hygiene ·
Hi everyone... I apologize if I’m starting a thread that already exists or something similar—I honestly couldn't find one after looking
.
So, here’s the situation: my three-year-old daughter had a fall on the stairs and somehow managed to knock out her entire baby tooth—an incisor 😢😢... We put the tooth in some milk (is there actually any truth to that old wives' tale?) but we don't have any way to get to a dentist right this second... Is there any way to replace a tooth like that, or are we stuck just waiting for the permanent one to grow in? Given she's only three, that could feel like an eternity
.
Has anyone else dealt with something like this? What did you end up doing?

Thanks

Down south or along the coast, you've got those historic forts, old cities, and museums. But out here in the Midwest, it's just fields, woods, pumpkins, a creek, or a river. That's really it.

As for Pikov Stan? Look, it might not be exactly what you're hunting for, but personally, I find it's actually a great spot for taking photos.🙂

Robin Chase7 said:Jamie Gonzalez, I honestly think you crushed it at $600! I was wondering, how much were you charging for the table arrangements, or more specifically, how many tables did you actually manage to cover?
I’m thinking I might need to handle around 40, and I’d really love to have at least a little something on every single one of them

To be completely honest, I have no clue what the individual rates were—I didn't even bother asking... if I recall correctly, there were about 22 tables. Everything is pretty much up for negotiation with her; she’s actually a very reasonable woman and easy to work with.👍

I think this is my first time ever hearing about this Jack???
Maybe someone could share a bit more info, like prices or maybe even some pictures?

I think I'll go with Jake-z for the flowers too; I've heard nothing but praise..
Glazba-Sax 👍 they were the only ones on my list, everything else is irrelevant..
Who's playing for you guys?

🤣 Elvis Presley played for me too; they were absolutely fantastic 🙏

So, okay, we've got our venue booked for October 1st, 2011, and now I'm just praying there's actually a band available to play!
But anyway...
I guess if everything goes right, I’ll be set for at least a few months regarding all those big bookings. But I wonder if I'm actually on the right track here! 😕
Basically, I'm planning on getting the flowers from my Aunt Jak from Small town, USA, grabbing some sweets from Catherine in Small town, USA, and finding a wedding dress somewhere in the city. I was wondering how early you guys usually book everything?! I feel like it might be too early to reserve stuff, but then again, maybe I'm wrong...

And I have another quick question about the flowers! I don't want to make things super complicated or just throw money away. I'm looking for something totally simple! Like, maybe a tiny bouquet, some baby's breath spheres for the tables, and I was thinking of putting an arrangement on our car that we can move to our table later, plus a heart made of flowers behind us. Does anyone have any idea what that kind of thing might cost?
I'm asking because I heard bouquets can run around $333. Honestly, that feels sooo expensive to me. I might just head out myself, grab ten white roses, wrap them up, and call it a day!

What kind of band are you looking for?

Well, regarding the cake and the flowers—I used Jak for the flowers and Catherine for the sweets. If I recall correctly, I settled everything about two months before the wedding, though since mine was on a Sunday, it wasn't much of a struggle... honestly, your best bet is to just call them now to check availability, especially for the flowers; I imagine the sweets won't be as much of an issue. As for the floral costs, my entire setup came to roughly $600... I had a rose and orchid bouquet, our table was decked out in roses and orchids, and the guest tables had those large vases on stands filled with lilies and orchids, all wrapped in organza, ivy, and various little blossoms. All in all, I was more than happy with both the quality and the price. 👍
I mean, I don't think it’s necessarily "too small" if you're actually being active... no offense intended😉
At the end of the day, everyone knows their own mind when it comes to being ready to become a parent....
If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?
sorry for going off-topic

Not sure where else to drop this, so I'll just throw it out here. 🙂
My period is late, so if it doesn't show up soon, I'm grabbing a test; but I’ve got a question (mostly because I'd rather win the Powerball than deal with this right now 😁)... how many of you ended up pregnant while using the "pull out" method? Lately, my guy and I have been doing that—usually pulling out right before putting on a condom... I'm curious about the actual math behind it (since theoretical probability is a thing) and whether I'm actually in trouble. I feel like I read somewhere that the odds of getting pregnant this way are pretty slim.
Anyway. If there's a better thread for this kind of stuff, let me know. 🙂

If you actually did end up pregnant, trust me, it isn't like hitting the jackpot—I truly believe plenty of women have found themselves in this exact spot, myself included (even when he told me it wasn't even my fertile window, he still opted for the pull-out method anyway), and well... here we are, waiting for our little sunshine to arrive 😍... I don't know about everyone else here, but I'm certain there are others out there... Just give it a few more days, and if your period doesn't arrive, go ahead and take the test.
Just run the test again in two or three days... if you actually are pregnant, I'd imagine it should show up clearly by then.
placidviper12, three tests in three days? Honestly, if you can hold out for just a few more days, maybe you could run one more then—just in case your period doesn't actually show up... It might be a little premature to be testing right this second. :nezna:
I’m heading privately to see Dr. Semenić in Chicago... though unfortunately, the little one won't be making an appearance at VK—they'll actually be born much, much further away 😁 (Portugal, specifically—I'm relocating there this September). Thanks for all the kind wishes... 😁
Thank you so much😁... I’m honestly overjoyed about the positive test😍 but at the exact same time, I am incredibly—and I mean deeply—anxious about everything. Though, I suppose that’s just the standard experience for any expectant mother out there... I think I’ll be spending a bit more time hanging around this forum from now on; I’ve been lurking and reading through all your posts lately anyway, just trying to soak up as much information as possible 😁
Well, it finally happened—the pregnancy test came back positive. 😍 We’ve got an appointment with our OB-GYN in about ten days to see what she has to say, but if I had to place my bets, I'd say she’s probably around four weeks along. 😍
I might be able to get to it tomorrow—if things go according to plan, I’ll be sure to share an update here... 😍 thanks
It wasn’t even that the plus sign was particularly prominent—it was more that the vertical bar (|) was barely even discernible
Hello everyone... this is my first time posting here, mostly because I’m starting to feel like I might actually be pregnant 😍—and honestly, the more days that pass, the more convinced I become. Just curious, though: how reliable are these pregnancy tests, really? My last period was on April 5th, and I was expecting the next one somewhere between May 3rd and 5th, but predictably, nothing has happened. I tried taking a test already, but the result was so faint it was barely even legible 🤷. To make matters worse, I can't even get an appointment with my OBGYN until June 1st. In the meantime, I’ve got this constant sensation like my period is just around the corner—there's some cramping, my lower back is aching, and my 🙂 have been feeling incredibly swollen. So, what’s the move? Should I go out and grab another test, or just sit here and endure another ten days of this agonizing uncertainty 😁?

Regarding blueheron46: those are specialized plugs designed specifically for that purpose—you can pick them up at just about any adult boutique, I believe... essentially, it’s a small, sterile sponge that you, if you'll excuse my bluntness, slide right into its intended home, right? 😁, and then later you just pull it out by squatting down—and there I go being graphic again—but yeah, 😁 they can stay in place for maybe 8 hours or so, I think...

Sex during my period is just like any other day... actually, if anything, it helps me deal with cramps even faster—it’s a real relief. It isn't "gross" at all. For those people who might be hesitant because they think it's too messy or overwhelming, there are actually specific tampons designed exactly for that purpose. They stay incredibly clean and the sensation feels totally normal...👍
