Grab a test! (For anyone wondering if they're pregnant)
in Pregnancy ·
Greetings.
I have a few concerns and am hoping to find some clarity here. My cycle is usually quite regular, typically running every 30 to 35 days. However, I missed my period this month—my last one was on May 26th—and we had unprotected intercourse around the middle of my cycle. To be honest, I haven't been using protection for the last couple of months; my partner just finishes "outside." Today, ten days after I expected my period, I took a pregnancy test using my first morning urine, and the result was negative. It isn't that I'm experiencing specific symptoms, though I do feel like my period is coming—lower abdominal pains, backaches, fatigue, and a heightened appetite. Is it possible the test gave a false negative, or am I simply due for my period? On another note, I started a new job this month, so perhaps stress is playing a role. Oh, and I was hit with a wave of nausea this morning just from the smell of fried food and calamari... I actually had to stand under the AC for half an hour to recover. I am unsure if it is too early for symptoms if, by some chance, I am pregnant.
