Well, here I am again. It’s been a little while since you last heard from me. I’ve been lurking and reading everything, but just haven't quite found the right moment to actually type anything out. So, anyway, just popping in to share some news...
I finally, finally laid eyes on my very first plus !!!! It honestly hasn't quite sunk in yet—like, is this actually happening to me? Real life? I am just over the moon! Good luck to everyone out there!!!!!
Whew, velvetgull36, that sounds like a real head-scratcher. You should probably go get checked out by a doctor. I honestly have no clue what it could be—I haven't really dealt with anything quite like this before. Though, I doubt it's from the supplements themselves, since so many people take them. Personally, I just stick to the folic acid from Natural Resources.
Harold Howard6,you should probably head in for one of those routine checkups. It’s been a while, hasn't it? Honestly, I wish I had some better news to share here... mistydrifter11,good luck with the new campaign!
Hey velvetgull36,how can you leave us hanging in all this suspense? Give us an update!
velvetgull36 said:Carol Moore27, I find that just as unsettling—honestly. I’m planning on taking a test tomorrow, assuming it isn't too soon, I suppose—so we’ll see how things go... I'll definitely let you know 🙂
If things are going the way I think they are, a daily urine test should already show whether you can hold it for about four hours. But, hey, maybe wait until tomorrow when you're feeling more patient. Good luck. Definitely keep us posted!
velvetgull36 said:God, I would be absolutely thrilled!!!!! But honestly—I'm a little nervous about actually taking the test, just so I don't end up disappointed 🙂
So, if your doctor told you back on August 19th that tomorrow would be your peak fertility day—basically ovulation—and you guys went for it the next day, August 20th... then that spotting on the 29th sounds like classic implantation bleeding. It fits perfectly since it’s about nine days after ovulation. It feels a little early for Ryan Morris15 to be looking at August 29th if ovulation was actually around the 20th like the doctor said. You should probably just take a test right now!
Ethan Rivera95 said:Aha, thanks! So, I took one of those cheap drugstore tests at the start of my third week, and it came back negative. Then, I went in for an exam yesterday, and my doctor mentioned something about a "triple layer" thing—I wasn't quite sure if she was talking about my uterus or what, so now I'm spiraling a bit wondering if it could be an ectopic pregnancy that hasn't been spotted yet. To make things weirder, I started feeling some mild symptoms two days ago, which is super strange because they aren't anything I usually deal with this far into my cycle.
If I'm following you correctly, you're in your fourth week now? Your period is late, but you took that test over a week ago. Honestly, just go take another one right now—it might actually show up this time. That first one was probably way too early, and I don't think the doctor can see anything on an ultrasound just yet anyway.
Kevin Morgan3 said:Honestly, I’m kind of leaning towards that too... I mean, I don't really want to believe it, but I just have this nagging feeling in the back of my head that won't let up...🙂...THANKS ladies!😉
Take it easy, there are plenty of us in the same boat. You’re actually way ahead of the curve right now... like, five whole days ahead. For me, I won't even see my results for another day or two.☕
Kevin Morgan3 said:When it comes to when I'll actually ovulate... man, it's a total mess... you just never know with my PCOS... which is why I was on the pill for nine years straight.... so I honestly have no clue.... my last cycle started on the 29th, and the one before that was the 18th.... it's kind of a freaking nightmare... my nipples are super sore too.... and I've been peeing a lot... but then again, I drink a ton of water, so maybe that's just it. I mean, I doubt this is actually what it is, but I've got this little nagging thought in the back of my head that just won't let up...😉
I think it’s way too early to be feeling any symptoms. At the earliest, you might start noticing something in maybe 3 or 4 days, and you probably shouldn't even bother with a test for another 10 days or so. And if this cycle ends up being super short again, things usually don't line up quite right in most cases... honestly, it would be better if your cycle stayed longer, like that 29-day one. Temperature seems fine, but it really needs to stay elevated for about another 14 or 15 days before you can even seriously suspect T. ja. Sending you all the good vibes—fingers crossed it's T.!
Awesome. We’ll probably end up right back in the same boat regarding whether we win or lose this time around. So, you can technically start tracking from the first day of your period, but honestly, it doesn't really matter that much. Most people say the fifth day is where it actually starts counting. I'm sure you're going to do your own deep dive and research anyway, but since I've been through this, here are a few little tips from my experience. If you use a basal thermometer, just hold it under your tongue every single morning the second you wake up—before you even start talking to anyone! Just five minutes. I actually use a digital one because it’s way faster and less of a chore, and I checked, and it works just as well as the old-school mercury ones. I know the rulebook says you have to measure at the exact same time every day, but I’ll be honest, I don't always follow that strictly, and things still turn out fine. As long as you aren't drifting too far off, you should be good. I usually aim for somewhere around 8:00 or 9:00 AM, and that does the trick for me. I do have to get up once during the night to use the bathroom, but there's no need to take your temperature then; I just go back to sleep. Definitely use the charting tool on Fertility Friend. Once you notice that big jump in your temperature, that means you likely ovulated the day before. Anyway, just a few thoughts to get you started. Good luck!
Just wanted to give you guys a quick heads-up, I got my results back from the lab this morning. My temperature has finally dropped too. Everything looks totally normal according to the doctor, so there shouldn't be anything missing or wrong here...😠Anyway, gotta keep moving forward...🙂
Ryan Morris15, I’m so sorry, really crossing my fingers for your next attempt. My temperature today is exactly the same as yesterday—it hasn't dropped at all. Last night, I had this intense pressure in my lower abdomen, right around the ovaries. It isn't exactly "pain," if that makes sense? It's just... I don't know how to put it into words. And the discharge is still thick. Anyway, I think I've decided to just hang in there until tomorrow to see what tomorrow's temperature looks like.
Ryan Morris15, I’m actually right there in the same boat as you... just waiting. Listen, it’s still a four-day gap, which pretty much guarantees the test was done too early. I’m not saying you won't see anything or that you definitely will, but honestly? It’s a fifty-fifty shot at this point. Maybe you're a "T" and the timing was just off, or maybe you aren't. Who knows, right? How are you holding up? Are you finding yourself running to the bathroom a lot? And are your breasts still feeling tender?
James Cox6 said:It worked, but I honestly just got lucky—nothing more 🙂 Both times actually... though I was dealing with another tragedy at the time, so, I don't know... everything just kind of settled into this weird equilibrium. I didn't bother tracking temperature (I don't get it and it seems like too much work), so the second time I just used ovulation strips. My main indicators were basically just fertile mucus and those strips
I’m going to keep believing in luck, because I feel like anyone would be happy if they managed to conceive within a year. If it doesn't happen naturally, I'll just try different methods. Tracking temperature is pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it; that first cycle is always the hardest part. And hey, if you have a digital thermometer, it's only like two seconds of work every morning. But, luckily for you, you don't even need to worry about that. Thanks so much for the help and for getting back to me so fast!
Did you manage to get it working right away? Did you end up checking the temperatures? Malone isn't really making a big deal out of any of this, so maybe just let him be for a little while. I wouldn't mention anything to him just yet.
So, I just went in for a routine ultrasound, and the doctor was basically like, "Everything looks fine, just hang in there." No other tests or anything yet. Honestly, I haven't been pushing myself too hard lately... this is my fifth month, my fifth attempt at this whole thing. My cycles are all regular and I'm ovulating every time.
Oh, awesome. Glad someone posted something so I didn't have to boot up my computer for nothing. 😂 Ryan Morris15, look at how well everything started out for you. If you don't get your period tomorrow, then it's pretty much a done deal! mistyharbor8, I honestly thought you’d be taking a test by this morning or today, since you're already four days late...
I'm feeling a little discouraged today, though. My temperature dropped to 98.1 this morning from yesterday's 98.4. It all just feels like a typical failed cycle to me because things always start dipping right before my period arrives. Plus, my breasts are sore, there's more discharge, and I've been dealing with this weird dizziness for about half an hour now. I just don't know what to think anymore...
