Once that test hits negative at the 10-day mark? Honestly, the chances of being pregnant are basically zero.

I'm with you on this... I've had the exact same thing happen. Last time, it didn't even turn positive until two days later.
Keith Nguyen9 said:I am in no rush at all; rather, I find myself in a state of eager anticipation, hoping for positive news. I have already consulted with my OB-GYN, and everything appears to be perfectly fine from a medical standpoint, though nothing can be visually confirmed regarding the pregnancy just yet. My period is also late. In my view, expectant mothers should be met with support and encouragement rather than being discouraged. When one encounters posts like this, it makes it incredibly difficult to remain optimistic, and quite frankly, it causes me to lose hope.😢

Look, I didn't mean to discourage you. It’s just that the more you obsess over it, the harder the crash is going to feel if it doesn't work out..
I've been there myself, which is why I'm telling you this...
I'm rooting for you and crossing my fingers for a positive test!!!
Keith Nguyen9 said:It is now the sixth day 🙂 since my last cycle ended, and I have yet to see even the slightest sign of pregnancy on a home test. Is it possible that the fetal development isn't progressing at the expected rate, or perhaps my ovulation occurred much later than anticipated? If so, is it truly impossible for an OBGYN to detect anything via ultrasound at this stage? Normally, I experience significant bloating leading up to my period, yet this month, I feel almost nothing. I am at a loss as to how to proceed; the uncertainty is becoming quite overwhelming. Should I request a blood test to check my HCG levels? Please, I would appreciate any guidance you can offer. Thank you all.

Why are you rushing so much? You're only six days late, which honestly isn't a big deal... if I were you, I'd wait a few more days, take another test, and then call the doctor to figure out why things are running behind...

Got a few questions...
I had sex this past Saturday, and then last night I dealt with some dull pain in my right ovary and bloating—it lasted about two hours.
On top of that, I’ve been feeling nauseous all yesterday and this morning, and even smells are triggering me.
Anyone got any actual advice?
Is it even possible to feel anything this early on?

So you're saying it's only been 5 days and you're already feeling pregnancy symptoms?! That’s impossible. Unless you actually conceived before that Saturday you mentioned...

Since I’m currently navigating a semi-planned pregnancy, I’ve noticed my period is already three days late.
I took a home test yesterday afternoon, but the result came back negative.
After looking through some of the older threads on this forum, it seems clear that these tests aren't always as foolproof as they claim to be.
Should I just sit tight and wait a bit longer, or would it be smarter to go get a blood test done immediately?

Thanks in advance to everyone. 🙂

Don't bother with the blood test yet. Just wait until tomorrow morning and take a test using your first urine of the day. The hormone concentration might have been too low in that afternoon test. If it comes up negative again, wait seven days and then try one more time with your first morning urine. If it's still negative, you're probably not pregnant, and you should see your OB-GYN to figure out why your period is late. By ten days out, hormone levels should be high enough for any test to pick them up. Fingers crossed for a positive! 🙂

Can I ask a question without getting roasted?
I had sex last month, about a day after my period ended, and we didn't use protection.
I did get my period right after that, so everything seemed normal then.
Now, I'm not due for another one for about ten days, but my breasts have been aching for almost a week, and my stomach is acting up—just really sensitive.
A few days ago, I took a test first thing in the morning, but the urine had been sitting there for about 20 minutes because I couldn't hold it while I ran to the CVS 🙂
The test came back negative.
Is it actually possible that I'm pregnant, or am I just overthinking this whole thing?
Thanks everyone for the help!!!

If you had a normal period and the test was negative, you're likely fine. Usually, a test shows up about 15 days after conception. If you're counting from that specific encounter, it might be too early to tell for sure...
I honestly think price is irrelevant here—it’s all about sensitivity. I once used one of those ovulation strips you order online, and it flagged positive two days before my period was due. Then, just a day later, I grabbed a cheap drugstore brand, maybe something from CVS for around $5.00, and it also came back positive. If your first test showed a plus but this second one didn't, it's probably because that first one is way more sensitive to lower hormone levels. Just wait until tomorrow morning and try again, or head to the pharmacy and find one that works at any time of day—those are usually the ones with better sensitivity.
