I was scrolling through some news earlier and it really got me thinking about the "move fast and break things" era we've lived through for the last two decades. It feels like we're hitting a massive turning point where the very people who are actually in the trenches—the ones writing the code and designing the systems—are starting to pull the emergency brake.

It’s a weird sensation, isn't it? Usually, we see tech giants fighting tooth and nail against any kind of oversight, basically telling the government to stay out of their business so they can keep innovating. But when the actual staff members start making noise and asking for guardrails, it makes me wonder if we've actually crossed some kind of threshold. It's like the mechanics of a car suddenly telling the driver that the engine is getting too hot to handle safely.

I've always been a bit of a techno-optimist, but there’s a growing sense of unease that we might be outstripping our own ability to control what we create. If the people with the most to lose are the ones asking for rules, shouldn't we be listening?

Do you think we should be letting industry insiders dictate the level of regulation, or does that just create a loop where they only regulate what's convenient for them?

I watched it last night, and honestly, all I can say is that the movie was just terrible.

I actually liked the first one, but the second part was significantly worse, and the third feels like it has absolutely nothing to do with the first two.

I have low expectations, but we shall see what happens eventually.
