I definitely plan to, but I won't be able to get to it until next Saturday, which feels like nearly two weeks away. Otherwise, I might try checking in with my primary care physician.

fadedbear92 said:Look, those are extended-release tablets—they're designed to work for 12 to 24 hours depending on how you take them.
There’s obviously a reason a doctor would prescribe those specifically instead of just some "standard, quick-acting" pill, right?
They’re typically used for things like Generalized Anxiety Disorder, where your body is basically stuck in a state of anxiety 24/7.

I hear what you're saying, I really do; I’m just pointing out how silly it feels that they aren't supposed to be broken apart. I have the 1 mg dose, and even taking just half a pill left me feeling completely drugged. Besides, I’m not anxious all day long (well, maybe ever since I started those ADHD medications, but before that, even 0.25 mg of Xanax didn't touch my anxiety, especially when I actually had to go somewhere). Honestly, there were plenty of times when full-blown panic attacks would still break through regardless.

Melissa Sanchez59 said:Yeah, I totally get that thing about autosuggestion. I HAVE to read everything, otherwise I end up panicking over a simple aspirin or something 😁 but when I weigh it up, I suppose it's probably better to know a few things. 🙂

Anyway, I deal with anxiety and depression—mostly the anxiety side, along with panic attacks. For the last few months, I've been taking Misar SR at 1 mg in the morning and evening, plus 0.25 if I really need it. Before that, I was on the IR version three times a day at 0.5 mg, and honestly, the extended release seems to work better. It's a bit tricky, though—on a bad day, it feels like it's not enough so you have to pop another IR, but then on a good day, you might get too sleepy... it's never quite perfect, I guess. Personally, the SR definitely works better for me.

Last week they switched my antidepressant from Citalopram to Lexic and dropped my SR down to 0.5, so I can't say I'm feeling great right now since I'm dealing with a bunch of side effects... but hopefully, things look up in the long run.🙂

It feels like we're almost reading from the same script. 🙂 I'm also hoping that everything eventually settles into place. Does your mental state generally feel even worse when you first start a new antidepressant? Today is only my fourth day, and I'm feeling incredibly restless and anxious... If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? And by the way, I still can't wrap my head around why you aren't supposed to break those SR tablets... it seems so strange.🙂

Melissa Sanchez59 said:You really shouldn't split Misar SR! The instructions say not to, and I guess your doctor should've mentioned that to you.

I also take the SR version in the morning and at night, plus the "fast-acting" kind whenever I get hit with intense panic or something...

Btw, I'm not a bot—I've been lurking on this sub for ages, just finally deciding to join the club now, so bok everyone 😁

Bok to you too! 🙂 Thank you so much for the advice. I honestly had no idea that you weren't supposed to split them; it's the first I've heard of it, and I tend to avoid reading the fine print because I don't want to trigger any side effects through autosuggestion. 🙂 If you don't mind me asking, what was your diagnosis? And which Misar dose are you taking? Does it leave you feeling a bit groggy? Also, how does your combination of the regular dose and the fast-acting version work for you—does it actually help?

fadedbear92 said:I was taking Xanax SR, but you definitely shouldn't be mixing any "short-acting" anxiolytics in on top of that.

I honestly can't say for sure; I know someone else used to take the SR version along with short-acting doses as needed, but I don't know. This morning, I took just half of my 1 mg Misar SR and ended up heading straight to bed. It made me feel pretty nauseous. I can't even imagine what would have happened if I had taken the whole thing... 😉

Brandon Lopez6 said:I've been on Cipralex for a few days now and honestly? Nothing positive to report. If anything, the side effects just cranked my anxiety up a notch. I’m getting hit with panic attacks basically every single time I step out the front door because I just don't feel safe. And of course, I have to head into Chicago this Tuesday—fun times—and then there's an EEG scheduled for Thursday, which will be even more lovely.

My doctor isn't seeing me until after April 24th since I still have to wrap up some other tests, so I'm really crossing my fingers that these pills actually start working. Right now, I just feel worse than I did before I started them. I read through the manual and, aside from the spiked anxiety and this constant feeling of depersonalization, I haven't had any other issues. So, I'm genuinely hoping the weirdness fades. On Tuesday, I'm moving up to the full dose in the morning, so things are about to get messy. But whatever.

To be honest, this caught me off guard. When I was on Paxil, I didn't deal with any side effects at all, though that wasn't doing much for my mood either. Maybe Cipralex is just pushing me "deeper" into the hole so it can eventually pull me back out later? 🙂
Not sure if that makes sense to anyone besides me. 🤣

It makes perfect sense to me, especially since you've only been on it for a few days. It still needs time to fully settle into your system. I've taken similar medications before (Paxil and Cipralex are really the only ones I've tried so far), and I ended up being quite satisfied with them.

urbanskipper4 said:I lost my period because of Eglonyl and had that same lactation issue, so they ended up taking me off it. As for the Paxil, I actually adjusted to it without any trouble. It was my first AD, though honestly, it didn't really do much for what I'm dealing with.

About six or seven years ago, Paxil was essentially my lifeline. 🙂I've just started back on it two days ago, and so far, I haven't encountered any major side effects, aside from feeling quite drowsy and experiencing a bit of mild restlessness.

fadedbear92 said:Honestly, this is complete nonsense—prescribing two different anxiolytics at once?! I mean, seriously... and apparently, this doctor is some kind of "expert" according to the MP3 recording.🙄

They are, though my doctor prescribed Misar SR, while the Helix 0.25 is just the standard version. To be honest, neither the Helix 0.25, nor Lexapro, nor Paxil ever really did much to calm me down. They were pretty ineffective for my anxiety, so she decided to put me on this Misar SR, with the instruction that if I feel it isn't quite enough, I can take a regular dose of Helix as well. I don't know; she strikes me as a true professional, and I was actually quite impressed by her during our first consultation.

Benjamin Martin65 said:Well, please do let me know how you settle in with the Wellbutrin, because I’m actually taking that myself. I'd be quite interested to hear about any side effects or anything else you might notice... 😉

I should have a full report ready for everyone in just a few days. 😉

I’ve started a new medication regimen: Seroxat 1 tablet in the morning and Fevarin half a dose in the evening. I also have Misar SR 1 mg and Helex 0.25 mg on hand to take as needed.

Susan Edwards8 said:So, I was on Eglonyl twice a day—around 200mg each time, I think—and I’d take Paxil in the mornings too. Honestly? It worked fine for me, at least until the side effects started kicking in. I was on that combo for maybe two months or so. Dealing with that whole depressive-anxiety mix, you know how it goes.

I don't have any personal issues with Eglonyl either, though I'd likely pair it with another antidepressant. What kind of side effects did you end up dealing with?

Brandon Lopez6 said:They put me on it to help with my stomach issues and nerves. The diagnosis was anxiety disorder. For the mental side of things, I was given Xanax, and Eglonyl just helped out a little bit.

I completely understand. Thanks for sharing. 🙂 I think I’m going to tell my doctor that they aren't giving me any decent antidepressants, because it feels like I'm getting absolutely nothing out of this current regimen...

Brandon Lopez6 said:I think I already mentioned this, but if I didn't—as far as I can remember, I felt pretty nauseous for the first few days, maybe 7 to 10 days total. That was really my only side effect. Things finally started settling down after just a couple of days.
(I was just taking 50 mg in the morning)

Yes, thank you. If you don't mind me asking, what exactly were you diagnosed with, or what symptoms are you dealing with? For me, it's primarily panic attacks, anxiety, and general nervousness. I've only been on this for a week now, so I haven't noticed any real shift yet. I suppose it probably just takes more time to kick in.🤷

Hi everyone! Has anyone here ever taken Eglonyl? I'm curious to know roughly how long it takes before you actually start feeling any kind of effect. Currently, I've been taking 50 mg twice a day.

Thanks so much. I actually already managed to track down what I was looking for online, but I really appreciate you checking anyway.

I have a question, and I would be truly grateful if anyone with some knowledge could help me out. What kind of antidepressant is Lexapro? I am currently taking it, but I’ve been having some digestive issues lately, so my doctor prescribed some Reglan. Looking at the instructions for the Reglan, it mentions that it shouldn't be used alongside tricyclic antidepressants. This has left me feeling a bit uncertain because I don't really understand how these different medications work. Is Lexapro considered a tricyclic antidepressant or not? Thank you all so much in advance for your help.

shadowtrucker18 said:I suppose I'm wondering how much longer I should hold out before I go complain that my medication isn't working properly. It just doesn't feel right; I think I'm experiencing more panic attacks than ever before.

I honestly don't know what the best advice is here... but if you've been on this for five weeks and things are actually trending downward, it might be time to check in with your psychiatrist and see what they think. For me, today marks my tenth day, and I just took half a pill for the first time, which triggered a moderate wave of panic—so I’m still trying to figure things out myself. That said, I truly believe you should reach out to your doctor. I am so sorry you're going through such a difficult time.😢

David Bishop4 said:Everyone, please keep me in your thoughts—after nine days on a quarter dose, I’ve officially moved up to a half tablet of Lexapro today. My biggest fear right now is whether this will actually take hold; what if I don't feel any real improvement even after it fully kicks in? The deadline is looming so incredibly close... I just need to vent for a moment, so please bear with me.

What I meant to say was "after taking it longer," not "after it works longer." 🙂 😁I'm such a klutz😍

I find myself wondering about the motivation behind this—is there a specific reason you're considering it? I'm curious to know if you've experienced any side effects, and how long you've been on this regimen, along with the exact dosage you're following.
