Can someone please explain to me—like I’m five years old here—how I actually get to the wedding expo at Pampas this weekend? So, I get off the train and then... 😁
thanks so much!

Is there anyone out there who actually does custom orders like this?
thx 🙏
Maybe eBay? Or somewhere else... 😁
I found this one version that's kinda morbid, but honestly, I kind of love it:

Or maybe something like:

That cake is gorgeous—looks totally delicious. Honestly, what caught my eye right away was how sharp the bride and groom look, even if you can barely see them through the shot👍 🙂
I mean, I don't think this cake should be an issue—it's really just about using a different shade of frosting and spreading it all over the cake. Honestly, almost every pastry chef out there works with this stuff, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about
Thanks so much for the heads up 😘
I’m really not a fan of those parfait cakes—so let's just skip them entirely. I'd much rather stick to the classic ones, maybe just playing around with different flavors. Personally, I'm a total sucker for anything fruit-based—I guess you could say I have a massive sweet tooth when it comes to that stuff.

I know a bakery that can definitely handle it—highly recommend them based on past experience: sweet secret 😉

The thing is, the wedding is down in Phoenix, so I’m kind of worried about whether they can even transport the cake in one piece... I mean, it's 37 miles interstate travel 😕 we're talking about. Plus, I have no clue if you can mix up the shapes of the tiers, or if they all need to match so the supports can actually hold everything up.
So, I’ve been thinking about this whole cake idea:

Maybe one chocolate suitcase cake, one Black Forest, and then maybe a fruit one? I haven't actually reached out to any local bakeries yet—so I’m not totally sure if they can pull this off—but that’s the dream, anyway. And hey, if those suitcase cakes end up being too small to feed everyone, I guess I can always just have a backup cake or two on standby.
I haven't really given it much thought, honestly—all I know is that there won't be any walnut cakes on any floor, because I can't stand them. In my opinion, sticking with fruit-based cakes is probably the happiest way to go!
I mean, I think they probably make them over at Whole Foods, but man, that’s some pricey stuff—like maybe 15-$$6.75/each.
So, about that buttercream stuff—a close friend of mine just got married recently, and everyone was handed these little mini cakes made with it (well, they weren't purely buttercream, there was some sponge cake inside, the frosting was mostly just on top 🤣). Everything looked absolutely stunning because she was so incredibly grateful for the decorations, but man, it was just so sweet it was basically inedible. People were literally digging through it and just eating the middle, leaving the frosting behind like some kind of sugary shell. I don't know if it was just that specific baker or what, but for me, it was 👎
