Olivia Gomez2 said:I have a quick question for everyone—when you were putting together your wedding albums, did you just stick with your photographer, or did you end up sourcing them from somewhere else entirely? I’m also curious if anyone knows where I might find some of those larger, high-end wedding books around Indianapolis, and maybe a ballpark idea of what the pricing looks like these days...

I’ve checked out places like Best Buy, Walmart, CVS, and Intermarché, plus that Photo C everyone keeps mentioning.
The pricing is all over the map, starting from $33 and up. If you want the decent quality ones, expect to shell out about 250-$100.

Can someone tell me a bit about the bistro? Kugla Is anyone familiar with the spot on El Paso Street in Indianapolis, right across from the brewery? Does anyone have any actual experience with them? We already put a deposit down on a restaurant in Napa Valley, but my partner is now convinced that moving to Kugla would be the better call since it would end up being cheaper. $2.00 It was cheaper before, and now they want to switch restaurants. Look, if I’m actually going to change where I eat, I need some real intel on this place first. Does anyone have anything to say about them? Anything at all? 😕
Thanks in advance.

They're constantly running ads for them on the local radio stations, offering wedding dinners (1st and 2nd options) for $50 per person. I went there for weddings the last two years, and the food was tasty and looked great, but they have a new owner now. Everything’s been remodeled—they've got round tables and white chair covers, and I heard they can fit up to 200 people.

I already asked the same thing, still waiting on an answer. 😢🙂

I’ve been lurking and reading through all your posts for quite a while now, but I finally decided to actually set up my profile today. I’m getting married on May 15th (which is super soon 🙂), so things are getting real! I’ve already checked off most of the big stuff—I’ve got the venue, the DJ, and even a photographer locked in... basically all the heavy lifting is done. What I’m really sweating right now is the dessert situation. Has anyone ever ordered cakes from Grandma’s Bakery? I’ve heard they’re pretty budget-friendly, which sounds great, but I’m dying to know if they actually taste good or if it's just a deal. If any of you have used them, please let me know! Anyway, I’m looking forward to getting to know you all, and I hope you can point me in the right direction. If there’s anything I can do to help any of you out in return, just say the word 🙂

Look, here's my two cents... 😉
The cake was $17 lbs, but honestly? They weren't anything special. I've had way better. They're pretty dry and have that old-fashioned vibe, if you know what I mean. Maybe it's just me, since I'm a sucker for creamy cakes 🤷 😁
I've been at two weddings where they served those cakes, and nothing to write home about 🤷

Can someone shoot me a DM with the pricing for Doe's pastries? I need to know the deposit amount, what wedding cakes run, and if we can handpick the dessert selection. Also, do the sweets come with serving platters, or am I buying those separately? Same question for gift boxes.

thanks 😍😉

James Lopez8 said:To be perfectly honest, I’m not entirely sure what kind of vibe this lighting setup brings to $500, but if your goal is just to lift the mood on a tight budget, it might actually be a decent option. It might be worth reaching out to them directly to see what their specific packages look like, or perhaps you could ask where they’re booked to work next? That way, you could head over and check out 😁
firsthand. As for Leo P., I did mention to him that the rate was around 14 $0.00; a friend of mine used them for her wedding about four months ago and that was what they ended up paying. I suppose it's hard to say exactly what's included in that price—like the total number of photos or how long the video footage lasts—so you might even be able to negotiate a better deal if you opt for one of their "smaller" packages. 👍

The guy told me the lighting fee is $1667 for couples when they aren't doing the full wedding coverage.
It ends up being the same thing; if you hire them for the photography, they'll shave a bit off the lighting price, but the bottom line stays pretty much identical for them. Still, it doesn't hurt to ask, and there are plenty of other vendors out there 😁

Anyone know if there's anyone out in the Midwest who does light shows?
I heard about Leo Productions, but they’re asking for $1667, which is just ridiculous these days. I also heard they want $3333 🙄🙄👎
just to take some photos.

Justin Martinez3 said:How much are we talking? 🤷 Because honestly, once I hear the number, I’m just going to sit here in silence. 😂

I don't know the exact price tag, but I'm betting it's enough to make you fall flat on your face. 😂
I'm at the Marriott. $83 With your pork and lamb, you might as well serve it in a shot glass. $83 All of their stuff—both the cookies and the cake—is just Zelekrov 220 or nothing. $77 First course is included; you pay extra for the second round: shepherd's stew. $10 Personally, I’d go with the pork or the lamb. $5.00 When it comes to personal service...
So, if I'm reading this right, that spot in the Ozarks is going to be even more expensive since it's actually a hotel. 🤷

I’m with you. The room looks incredible, but let's be real—it’s pricey. This isn't for everyone; you definitely need deep pockets for this one.👎👎👎

Can someone tell me what makes the pastries from B.Grede actually special? Or wait, if I remember right, they aren't even from B.Grede, they’re from Rural County nearby. How much does a kilo cost, can you pick out specific flavors, and do they do standard cakes as well as wedding tiers? What are we looking at price-wise?

One more thing...
Does anyone have recommendations for a wedding makeup artist?
I heard there’s a great spot at Macy's, right across from the cathedral, that does killer work. I once visited a studio on Broadway where an older lady works—she spent years in Berlin doing makeup for high-end models. Honestly, I was floored; she knew exactly how to highlight my best features. The only thing I remember clearly is that a single session cost $40.

But does anyone know a pro who will actually come to the house? And more importantly, someone who won't mess up the job when it counts 😁
