Here’s a quick rundown of our wedding on October 22nd.
The florist at Nena otok handled his floral arch, while I took care of the flowers for our table. His sister and her godmother gave us four roses, and my sister and her boyfriend made an arch out of four roses for when we walked out of the church. We rented four baskets, used a faux bouquet of five roses and plenty of baby's breath (since we went to my vineyard for photos two days prior), plus my actual rose bouquet, his boutonniere, the car, and I can't remember if I missed anything else—it all added up to about $533..

The venue, Elegant otok—honestly, the hall was wonderful, and the food too. As far as I know, nobody had any complaints... They did everything they were supposed to do perfectly. If I were ever to get married again, I'd choose this hall all over again, haha... All praise to them!

The band (I think they're called) Chista Petica or something similar—they have mus singing. Such a great band, too; they played our song maybe 4 or 5 times. They really stayed as long as people were there, even playing when there were only 10 guests left... They cost about $1,300.

Photographer Krizmanić—I have both praise and some complaints for him. On the plus side, he was kind enough to drive from Indianapolis to Slakovac two days before the wedding just for our photo shoot without charging extra. On the downside, it's terrible that they didn't film the gift exchange or the songs I specifically requested. For the $7,200 package, you get three DVD sets (one for the parents and one for us), about five large A4 prints, roughly 700 digital photos, and about 300 of those are printed in the album.

I think that covers everything... I hope this helps someone out!

Justin Sullivan2, everyone gets those artificial eyelashes done at that salon, I think it’s called Renata... you know, the one right by where you go to see Plodin on the corner. At least, that's what I heard, though I have no idea what they charge. Brandon Richardson6, where was that again, was it in Indianapolis?

Justin Sullivan2, I heard everyone is raving about Studio 54... I was looking into Essen too, but I think I might just end up going with Studio after all.

I need some fresh gerberas, but I really don't want to send anyone out to pick them up this Saturday (it's my wedding day!)... 😢( It's just for the floral arrangements...

Hey everyone, does anyone know if there are any farmers markets open this Friday near Indianapolis? I'm specifically looking for somewhere with great flowers!

They have those packs of 100 plastic cups for about $2.25, plus all sorts of plastic plates and stuff, too. Exactly... I didn't catch every single price, but there are some great finds for very little money. 🙂)

Hey, where exactly are you heading? Which arena are you at? You forgot to mention the venue!

Walter Price5, hey, I’m planning to book everything for August. I'll be doing a trial run for hair and makeup, too. If you're up for it when the big day comes, maybe I can have my sister snap some photos? Then I could send them over so you can check out their style... 🙂
I didn't actually ask which brands they use, and honestly, I don't need much makeup anyway since I rarely wear any. So, yeah... haha... 🙂

We haven't actually reached out to him yet to see what his availability is like; my partner is still a bit hesitant to call because of a few things. I'm not quite sure what the venue looks like either, but as soon as I find out, I'll let you know. Regarding the rates at Studio 54, a wedding hairstyle for mid-length hair is $73, while makeup is $40. Personally, I love that everything is all in one place and it’s pretty close by, so... 🙂

Honestly, I’m crossing my fingers for some sunshine too. I haven't decided if I'll pick up Jack from Ivankov or someone else for the florist, but I'll be booking my hair appointment at Studio54 in Columbus on August 1st...

Hey Sean Davis21, looks like we share the same wedding date! 🙂 Whereabouts are you based? If you tell me your area, I can give you some better pointers on what to look for... 🙂

We once had an engagement cake from Elon Musk's place; it was incredible, honestly. So rich that just one slice is enough to keep you full for hours... 🙂)

I'm also looking for a makeup artist and a hairstylist who can travel to me—especially a makeup artist. Could anyone send a number via DM?

I recall you mentioning there's a castle over in Vrbanj too, isn't there?

If anyone happens to be heading over to Yeti to check out their suits, would you mind letting me know what the prices look like? Feel free to just shoot me a DM. Thanks so much!

Hey, if you’re heading out there, let me know... Because if $999 covers everything, then it’s definitely worth it, right?

I’ve only seen the purchase price, though I think that's the one... My own wedding dress was a rental for about $4,500, yet this most expensive gown here is just $4,399... If anyone decides to look into this, please let me know... I'm truly curious, isn't it true that even a city like St. Louis isn't that far? Everywhere seems to range from $3,000 to at least $5,000 over at a place like Stephanie... Hopefully someone can dig up some info before I end up heading there myself, haha...

Honestly, I saw some photos at a friend's place and I can't recommend Krizmanić enough—plus, everyone else seems to rave about him too. I also came across some testimonials for Sun photography, and they looked great, though I haven't seen their actual work yet. My godmother actually suggested Rahela Photography to me after they shot her aunt; she said the shots were absolutely perfect. But really, wouldn't it be best just to go visit them and see for yourself?

Just wanted to jump in and breathe some life back into this thread! We’ve already scoped out the Elegant ballroom on the island, and honestly, it’s stunning. It can hold up to 700 people, but they can also partition it off beautifully for a more intimate vibe—perfect for our group of about 250. As for music, we looked at the band Art; everyone has nothing but praise for them, and I truly think they know exactly how to get a crowd moving. For photography, Krizmanić is looking at $4,800 without the thank-you gifts (though there are plenty of gift options available). He is such a lovely person, too; visiting him felt just like visiting family. Regarding the dress, we visited Stefany. I tried on about five different gowns before finally falling in love with one! Prices range from $3,000 to $5,000, and the best part? She told us there’s no pressure to decide right away—we can change our minds up until the very last minute. Plus, everything comes included: two baskets, jewelry, hair accessories, and even two boleros. Now we just need to pick up a shirt for him since he’s already set with his suit and shoes. Then there's the invitations, the bouquet, and the church decor. Everything else is covered by the venue, and a few friends and I are going to DIY some tassels ourselves. Hopefully, this helps someone out and gets the conversation moving again!
