Sandra Hernandez9 said:That is truly wonderful to hear. 🎉

Do us a favor and share a few shots—even if they're just amateur snaps. 😉

i already posted the two I have for now under the wedding photos thread

Also, definitely let me know how the photographer turns out, since we actually put down a deposit for him for May 2011.
🤣

So here’s the update.
It was honestly perfect! That crew from the local studio is a solid ten out of ten, they’re just full of ideas and always making suggestions, though you both definitely need to be on the same page and work together. 😉The final shots should be ready in about a month, but in the meantime, they’ll send over some teasers and will fix things if you aren't feeling them. You get to pick the photos for the album yourself, too. Since we had that weird light drizzle happening, we ended up doing the shoot on Monday instead and we don't regret it one bit. They didn't charge us extra for the reschedule either. Honestly, the guys are totally low-key and stay out of the way, unless, obviously, you go out of your way to pose for them.
We are beyond happy and haven't regretted hiring them for even a second... 👍

Sandra Hernandez9 said:Ladies, I have no idea who is handling the floral arrangements around here, but if you value your sanity—just stay far away from Dad. I stopped by yesterday to pick up a bouquet, and frankly, I have never encountered such sheer lack of professionalism in my life. The man’s attitude was so infuriatingly primitive that my blood pressure hit the ceiling; I was practically seeing red. 😠

I am right there with you!
That shop usually works with the Marriott center, and they actually recommended them to me so everything—the bouquets, the church decor, the reception hall, even the car—would all match perfectly. But then, the second I asked if they could put some anemones in a bouquet, the woman basically snapped at me. So I just looked her dead in the eye and said: look, if you can't handle a simple request, fine, but I'm definitely not buying anything from you!

I'm looking for something small—just a temporary setup to put out in front of my building when they come to pick me up..

you could check out Party Rental Co., but they’re pretty pricey (a tent for like 50-80 people is $833!!!)
if you want something more reasonable, try looking for Mickey, he's way better suited for this and has plenty of white tents in stock. i think you could probably get him to do a 100-person setup for about $167...👍

Angela Ross3 said:Man, Farrah is absolutely stunning! I actually had a smaller size when I tried some stuff on back when I was a Democrat, but they kept dressing me in things way too big, so nothing would even fit over my shoulders properly. Her photos are gorgeous, for sure, but I'm curious—how did you guys find the sizing?

yeah, yeah, the solstice is awesome! works perfectly for me, honestly don't think I'll even need to trim it.
as for the photos, I'll let you know how they turned out once the wedding guests arrive in about twenty days or so...👍

Sandra Hernandez9 said:Yes, thanks for the heads-up 🙂. We’ve been trying to get organized for a few days now, but things just aren't falling into place... where did you pick up your suits? Is there actually any decent selection there?
I've never heard of Christina—not that it's surprising since I don't get my nails done—but I'll probably go for a classic French manicure that day. Does she work privately? Could you send me her number via DM?
Thanks 🙂

mine got his suit at Men's Wearhouse in Chicago, and everything else at Target. It wasn't too pricey, ended up being around $1667 all together. and I know in some parts of the South you can find suits for like 150-200 bucks.🙏 there's a decent shop on one of the floors in the downtown mall that carries formal wear. and, obviously, check the flea markets. as for our group, my dad and brother picked theirs up at Nordstrom. those suits were about $833 without the shirt. those are the better ones. of course, they have stuff for $300 too.
here's Christina's number: 555-012-8470. she lives in a neighborhood near the local elementary school. an install is 150, and gel is $33. she does killer work, my nails usually last me a full month. 👍

🤣

The dress is the Farrah. It’s a mermaid cut, which I’m guessing makes things a little awkward when you have to hit the restroom since the corset goes all the way down past your butt.
As for the photographer, he's gotta be top-tier! He usually posts shots of all the couples on his own site so you can scope out his work. I'll get back to you later with the full rundown on how everything went with him...

Does anyone happen to know where I can pick up some bows, balloons, and similar decor at Bed Bath & Beyond?

if you hit up a local farmers market in the South, you can grab a pack of 100 balloons easily $6.75. I haven't checked the prices lately though. You can snag about 10 bows at a time too $2.75. They have satin ribbon by the $3.25 10m roll (up to 5cm wide), and they basically have every single color and shade you could ever want
. I'm guessing you mean Slough? 🤷

So, I’m living right around the SB area and my wedding is set for September 11th, 2010.
If anyone actually wants to know the scoop on any of this stuff, just hit me up... I don't mind.
The venue was Matičević
the band was the Midwest band
the photographer was Ivan Mijic
got my dad and brother's suits in Slough
the dress came from the Lisa salon
hair, makeup, and tanning were all done at the Valentina style studio
and nails by Kristina (Meadow)

Anyway, there it is. Happy to help if anyone's stuck...😉

Arthur Johnson47 said:Has anyone actually used the catering services over at Freedom Hall for a wedding before????

People around here usually just call that place "The Tin Can," probably because of the metal roof or whatever... 😂
Anyway, the last time I was there was about two years ago. It’s not a bad spot, definitely big enough to fit a crowd of like 350 guests without feeling totally cramped...
As for what they charge, I haven't a clue. 🤷The service itself was pretty solid, though a friend of mine who hosted her wedding there
actually ended up hiring her own separate waitstaff outside of their standard package...
But honestly, the food? No complaints there... ☕

Check out these shots of the hall in Smalltown, USA (just outside of Indianapolis). The place is called
Vance Center and it can squeeze in about 400 people. I was at a wedding there just three weeks ago and honestly, it wasn't bad... service was fine, the AC actually works, and the food was decent enough.
My one real beef: those chairs are way too small, like, they're just too short...

vividdriver11 said:Hey everyone,

I really need some advice here. I started a new pack of Diane birth control pills on Sunday, but I just realized today that I’m one pill short, which means I definitely accidentally doubled up yesterday... Honestly, it’s not surprising since I was totally stressed out all day over an exam I had today, but now I’m freaking out about it. I have no clue how to handle this because if I just keep going, I'll end up missing a pill at the end of the pack 🤷? What should I actually do in this situation? 😢

Thanks for any help.

I just noticed there’s a women's health subforum, so could the mods please move this thread over there? Sorry for posting in the wrong spot...

nothing bad is gonna happen to you! it happened to me twice already with the same brand, just like

it did to you. don't sweat it, your body will just take what it needs from the extra dose, and honestly the worst thing that might happen is

maybe a little headache or something like that...👍
