Intel Visa in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Kevin Morris12 said:The lady at the bank I visited last time actually tried to sell me on the idea that you can pay for things online using a Maui card... so much for her being "well-informed."

Anyway, getting back to the main point... if I put those 2 $0.00 into a two-year CD, what does that actually entail? Does it mean I won't be able to touch that 2 $0.00 for the full two years (just like how I couldn't get my hands on that $13 I spent on the Maui card last week), or am I misunderstanding something?

And what exactly constitutes a "card limit"?

Can anyone recommend a decent bank that will 100% approve me for a credit card (Visa) if I commit those 2 $0.00 to a two-year term?
....

You probably just misunderstood her. It's unlikely she's so clueless about her own job every single day.
She was likely talking about online banking, where you can pay bills or transfer funds from your Visa Intel card—essentially your foreign currency account, similar to how you'd handle your USD account... and so on.
Chase Bank in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Terry Howard said:1. Who exactly are you transferring cash to while you're chilling at the coast? If it’s family, you’d usually have a power of attorney set up, right? Plus, there’s always a Chase branch or a local bank nearby.
2. And what kind of bill are you trying to pay at a teller window (or via mobile banking) while on vacation that's so urgent you can't just wait until tomorrow?
3. We have things like text banking now, and you can easily check if your direct deposit hit by just looking at your phone—honestly, it’s probably easier to just call your boss and ask than to stress over an app.

How often does this stuff actually happen for mobile banking to be considered some absolute life-saver?

1. Asking who someone should pay while they're on vacation misses the point entirely—you don't always know who needs what or when, which is exactly why mobile banking exists. And you don't use a power of attorney just because you're related to the recipient...
Sure, banks and post offices exist... but why bother standing in line and paying service fees when you can settle things right where you are, peacefully, without the wait or the extra charges? That’s precisely why these tools were built...
2. Same logic applies. Emergencies happen. We aren't just talking about routine bills here; most standard utilities aren't life-or-death matters that need settling mid-afternoon, but other types of payments certainly are...
3. SMS alerts aren't really "banking"—they're just notifications. Mobile banking lets you do much more, like managing accounts or even buying gift cards. You can't get a full balance update over a phone call; you're discussing capital, not groceries. How is a representative supposed to verify your identity and disclose your balance over the phone? It's not as if they sit there waiting to read people their account balances...
Rhinoplasty recovery: What to expect? in Health ·
Linda Hernandez15 said:Are you absolutely certain about that timeframe? Previously, it would have been two weeks. It seems like too minor an operation to be dealing with facial swelling for two full months...

I had nose surgery myself following an accident. The bruising under the eyes and those dark circles almost completely vanished within two weeks... while the nose takes a bit longer to settle. For him, recovery is a slower process, though it isn't even noticeable at all...

Regarding my own experience with nose surgery, I can say I had to endure some truly unpleasant pain afterward. And I’d likely have to go through it all over again :/ goodness...
