we're having a hell of a time🙂
so Chris Peterson53, when exactly did you decide you were done for?
head😁 😁
if you guys actually drew up some kind of perfect blueprint and kept the shop doors wide open 24/7,
us women wouldn't even stand a chance,😁
Look, there are just fewer smart people out there now, and there’s no
connection to gender or what you eat. I know plenty of vegetarians, and honestly, none of them are smarter—if anything, they're dumber. It’s pretty obvious why too, especially with how they constantly harp on it like picking a specific diet somehow makes them more "evolved" humans...
I know one guy who stays quiet about all this. I've made my own choices, I respect everyone else's, and I don't use lifestyle habits as the main way to split the world into geniuses and idiots...
That would be way too obvious and pretentious, wouldn't it?
Look, you really need to rise above this bullshit if you’re "actually" right,
you gotta see how much your mom is struggling and just how pathetic her situation is
and then decide which path to take—one where you work on it, or one where you let her tear you down just so
she can feel better about herself.
In the end, you’d actually feel for her.
But instead, you’re playing her game, and you’ll never win because she’s your mother, and in this world, moms always get the upper hand. You're just gonna keep losing... plus, you're basically feeding the whole cycle.
But whatever, man. Being a decent human being takes actual effort.
Good luck.🙂
Yeah, and don't even get me started on the stigma... people are such cowards when it comes to actually accepting anyone who's different,
especially around here. You're doing fine, though—so fine that you've basically flipped the script and now half this forum wants to act schizo just to keep up with you.🙂
good luck with that...
thanks for the reply. so that's the whole social conditioning aspect then.
that's what I'm actually curious about.
I do all the other stuff too, but I was talking about hallucinations (whatever kind), like aliens and all that... it's not that I think it's impossible, it's just not even on my radar. I mean, if I started thinking like that, anyone could be🙂
briskgull27 said:The way I see it, madness happens because the body tries to protect itself from a reality it just can't handle, except it's not its own internal reality, the world's version of truth that breaks you. So, madness kicks in.
There’s nowhere else to run but straight into insanity...
Finally, a decent topic
—some actual "real talk" on this board for once.🙂 I'm quoting this because it's such a specific take. Society is a massive contradiction; it screams "Yes" and "No" at the exact same time. People who are actually smart or feeling things deeply tend to spiral into self-destruction rather than lashing out at everyone else.
But this whole social setup (this anti-psychiatry vibe) makes it seem like people with schizo... issues just have trouble managing their egos, or maybe some sort of superiority complex that they can't pull off in a society ruled by hypocritical, mediocre standards. So the whole thing just ends up in some parallel universe?
Looking for answers from the resident crazies here (only the ones with actual degrees, please)
🙂
What psychology? You only need to hear the name to know what's up.
Didn't care before and I don't care now. Honestly, just a totally uninteresting world to live in...
The only real downside is seeing kids who only listen to country music getting trashed in English class because their vocabulary sucks. It's common sense that listening to pop or rock actually helps you pick up words and actually learn the material...🙂
man, don't even get me started on reading that Louise Hay stuff... seriously.
look, if you're 23 and finishing up college, just keep training your brain and your body and you'll be fine.
the biggest thing is just not constantly comparing yourself to everyone else. people always think the grass is greener on the other side, but all that does is make you try to fit into some shallow bullshit where nobody actually knows what's really going on.
if you get that, then all that fear and insecurity should pretty much vanish
nobody is ever 100% open or 100% closed off... everyone's got a little bit of everything, more or less, and neither way is better than the other
good luck to ya
