How much do we actually differ from trees? in Philosophy ·
silentgardener3 said:That's tough, because as far as I know, plants don't have a nervous system, which is the whole basis for feeling things.

Check out the book *The Secret Life of Plants*.
Some scientists have actually managed to prove that plants feel things. They emit various signals or waves depending on the situation. For instance, when someone laughs, cries, or lies... they emit the exact same signal when the "liar" walks back into the room...

Equifax: Moderator or Dictator?? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
hm. regarding the citation of my previous message, I phrased the question quite clearly (following the complaint!). .. though, increasingly, it seems you all might actually be right.
my apologies for the outburst.

If a moderator has the authority to just wipe someone's post, then you can't blame the individual... it's clearly a failure of the system itself. The guy is clearly rattled, and for good reason; you should probably get up to speed, Captain...

What exactly was wrong with my "thanks, Microsoft" comment in the IT help desk section??
I didn't break any damn rules, other than trying to stop this jerk from posting some pathetic, off-topic tutorial on how to format a question within a post (even though the question itself was perfectly valid, he was just trying too hard to be clever with the presentation)...

It’s only natural that a post got wiped here too (maybe more than one, if I missed them) because he didn't care for it...

What kind of forum is this, where some moderator can just play God and shut down threads whenever they feel like it? Am I not entitled to ask a question the way I want—without all the fluff—WITHOUT being lectured on my phrasing or having someone predict how many answers I'll get based on my tone? "Good intentions," they claim... right. Is there anyone here with a conscience who’s going to address this? A moderator shouldn't act like a dictator just because someone pushes back, using their "authority" as a tool to flex whenever their ego feels bruised...

Don't delete the damn post; just answer it.
