You can do that easily on large paper; on camera, it looks seamless, but in person, the guide lines are obvious. I can't believe you fell for that. It seems to me you're a huge fan and haven't looked at what the whistleblowers have uncovered. This is the behavior of a deeply unhappy man trying to prove to the world that he's talented at everything.

He is deeply unhappy internally and spreads zero love; rather, his outbursts prove he is a very violent person. He burned every bridge with his friends, and he lied about being in some elite special forces unit—the truth is he didn't make the cut and was kicked out.

In short, you've presented a superficial version of him because, hey, the guy travels and has a Black wife. On the other hand, you seem totally indifferent to the fact that he's a sociopath who promotes violence and is a pathological liar who profits from people through staged videos. He certainly made other great films during that era with several standout performances, but these seven really define the stretch. With *Cuckoo's Nest*, he hit the trifecta. He could have easily swept the year before with *Chinatown* too, so missing out on that Oscar was a real shame. On the flip side, he didn't take home anything for *Professione: reporter*, despite it being one of his finest roles. It was directed by Antonioni, who actually took home Best Foreign Language Film that year.

I'm stopping at 1975 because, frankly, his acting wasn't quite hitting the mark for the rest of the decade until he really found his stride again in the early 80s.

To pull off a run like that during what I consider the greatest era of cinema—facing off against heavyweights like Pacino, De Niro, Hoffman, Hackman, and Redford all in their absolute primes—really says everything you need to know.

Right here is where he’s spraying Faye Dunaway while she’s trying to clean up a nose that was just sliced by a tiny Roman Polanski. Such a timeless classic 🙏

The 'Chinatown' segment on PBS 🙏 if justice had been served, Nicholson would have swept the Oscars back-to-back right after his win for 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.' Even so, his streak from 1969 to 1975 is easily the most impressive run by any actor I've ever seen.

But man, that movie—it’s got one of the best scripts ever written, flawless directing, and those twists that just knock the wind out of you...

If they’re true, then he isn't the guy he pretends to be. If they aren't (which seems more likely), it's a classic sociopathic trait—fantasizing about violence—which is exactly what I think he is. Not to mention his run-ins with the guerrilla groups, or those attacks in Bogota and Africa where he was taking down poachers one by one. A huge chunk of his stories revolve around violence; I don't know how you haven't noticed that yet, or maybe it's just because he tells these tales in such a charming, upbeat way to soften the blow of what he actually did if it's true.

So, that’s why he seems like some harmless guy to you. To me, he's the exact opposite.

Man, I should probably keep my thoughts to myself after hearing about Lila passing. People already asked him what happened, but he wouldn't say anything, almost like he wasn't ready to face it. It crossed my mind that maybe he killed her and buried her—look, I'm just being honest about the thought that popped into my head. I also remembered some old videos from before he moved in with his Chocolate; he used to talk quite negatively about dogs, so that's why it flashed through my mind. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me.
