Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·
I feel like I need to vent here just to get some weight off my chest. I know someone dealing with an F2 diagnosis—a guy in his 30s who still lives at home with his parents and sister. A few years back, he went through a traumatic breakup with a woman who essentially played him, and since that was likely his first serious relationship, he completely lost his grip on reality. He hasn't had a girlfriend or even a close friend since. He’s become a totally different person, spinning these elaborate delusions about secret wealth and massive corporate fortunes that he claims people are trying to steal from him. In reality, he has nothing and rarely leaves the house. His behavior has turned aggressive, specifically toward his sister, which led to a brief stint in jail after an altercation. He insists his parents conspired with the police to frame him, which obviously isn't true. Even after receiving psychiatric care, he refuses to take his medication once he's back home. He doesn't drink much, but when he does, he becomes incredibly volatile and aggressive. His family has tried everything, even reaching out to NASA for assistance, but they haven't been able to find a solution. Things are reaching a breaking point, especially during these winter months when his mood swings are most intense. He's being incredibly defiant and disrespectful toward his sister. Does anyone have any advice on how to support someone in this kind of situation?

I know someone diagnosed with F21 who consistently refused medication because they simply wouldn't acknowledge their condition. This individual lived entirely within a fantasy, claiming to have massive wealth in the bank and making constant, nonsensical references to the mafia. If you haven't personally encountered someone struggling with this specific illness, it is difficult to truly grasp the reality of it.
We have only just begun discussing this topic, folks...
I wasn't entirely sure which subforum to use, so I'm starting a new thread here..
This is my first time posting on this forum, and I have found your advice incredibly helpful, so I wanted to share my own situation...

My cycles are somewhat irregular. My partner and I have been having unprotected intercourse; we engage in foreplay without a condom, and then he puts one on before climaxing. This has happened several times in a single evening.
My last periods began on January 9th, March 16th, and May 24th, lasting about four to five days each. However, on June 26th, we had unprotected intercourse twice where he finished inside me, and now my period has stopped completely. Given that I am 28 and actively trying to conceive, is pregnancy a possibility in my case? Also, considering my irregular cycle, when would be the earliest appropriate time to take a pregnancy test?🤷

My menstrual cycles are somewhat irregular. Recently, I had sexual intercourse with my partner where we engaged in unprotected activity during foreplay before switching to using a condom for ejaculation. This occurred multiple times in one evening.

Additionally, considering my irregular cycles, when would be the most reliable time to take a pregnancy test?
