hiddenridge99 said:And after this post, there's really nothing left to say.

It’s just a textbook example of your average "anti-Mamić" type.

I guess he was just happy because those losers lost, and Mamić's club managed to pull off a win. It's the same group of people who claim to be fighting against the officiating, Mamić's crew, and the corrupt USSF.

In a way, they're basically brothers-in-arms with the very people they claim to despise, all swimming in the same gutter.

He ended up siding with the notorious criminal he supposedly stands against. I mean, it's the same guy who allegedly embezzled half a billion dollars from Real Madrid. The same guy who nearly destroyed the fan base the author of this post belongs to. He's the mastermind behind the future looting of Real Madrid and the total takeover of the club from its actual members, handing everything over to himself and his circle of shady associates.

But hey, those idiots were shouting insults at us, and I guess that really got under my skin.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

It’s honestly just pathetic.

You mentioned recently that you don't even go to games much anymore, so I guess it shouldn't matter to you who is celebrating or why.

I'm feeling pretty fed up with all these moralists acting like they're above it all when it comes to Mamić, almost like they're programmed robots. Of course I was cheering when they scored against them. You probably wouldn't get that since you aren't actually connected to the Bad Boys or anything; you're just posting garbage online.

Jonathan Williams3 said:I guess you've lost touch with reality... nobody from the Bad Boys expects anyone to be out there leading protests... and honestly, straying off topic just ends up making things worse. It seems like you've pushed away the local Washington, D.C. crowd too, because whether you believe it or not... they don't really vibe with your views, which seem to get more extreme all the time. Back when the stands were packed, everyone felt welcome... you had punks, rockers, skins, even the preppy types... but now, if you happen to have even a slightly different opinion... you're basically told to get lost. Then people wonder why they won't join your side.

Maybe they could look into some kind of national team, or perhaps the EuroLeague, or even something for the youth leagues—maybe women's handball too

I know it probably won't happen, but I honestly feel like it would get way more attention than something like combat sports

Maybe we could start throwing out some ideas for topics to discuss once the Euro wraps up and all this hype and noise finally dies down

Bryan Taylor54 said:I was reading this piece about how things are going at Real Madrid, and honestly, I guess it feels like we’re just circling the drain lately. It seems like there's so much drama surrounding Mamić and how the club is being run, which makes me wonder if any real progress will ever actually happen under this leadership. Maybe it's just my perspective, but it feels like the whole situation is becoming a bit too much to handle.

I guess you guys probably haven't even considered this yet, but Chicago really is such a major tourist destination.

Bryan Taylor54 said:It seems like you’ve always got Mamić, the USSF, the Republican Party, and even aliens to deal with.
I guess we really ought to be focusing on them.
I guess all that hesitation over the years, just kind of stalling and being indecisive, probably led to them making those completely wrong calls about how it wasn't the right time or the right place for anything to happen.

Bryan Taylor54 said:I guess if Mamić actually made that kind of offer, it would probably leave most of the BBB-ists completely stunned.
I guess if Mamić offered me a two-bedroom apartment just to get my support, I’d probably give it to him unconditionally, even though I honestly can't stand the guy.
I guess everything just comes with its own price tag, maybe.
I guess I would accept the offer, since I really am a good person—though I suppose people close to me would probably be the ones to tell you that.

Bryan Taylor54 said:I guess those of you who just love to hate everything will have to suffer through this. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

I guess there’s some more news coming out about the situation at Real Madrid, and it feels like things are just getting more complicated by the day. It seems like there might be some internal tension brewing regarding how everything is being handled behind the scenes, though I suppose it's hard to say for sure without seeing the full picture.

Bryan Taylor54 said:And then people actually suggest that Antolić ought to stand up to Mamić 🤣
The guy's just letting an antitalent secure his entire future
I guess you have to wonder how many years an average BBB-ist would need to work just to match Antolić's yearly salary
Anyway, I hope you all have a pleasant winter sleep, ladies and gentlemen

It probably doesn't even make sense to try and argue with him about those supposed social media posts, because once you see how he actually thinks, there isn't much point

lonebadger6, I was just wondering if this PDF might still be available after the championship ends, which I think would be really great

I guess I’m not sure if this is just how things go in the Champions League, but there was this weird lull during those few seconds when they transitioned from a shot on one end to setting up an attack on the other. It felt like this empty gap in the action. To me, it seemed way too obvious yesterday—it looked like the guy just lost himself in the moment for a second. At the end of the day, I feel like it almost loses its meaning to even cheer when all you can hear is the sound coming through the speakers...

Steven Reed30 said:It feels a bit strange when you think about how some of those massive clubs in Spain—like City, Atletico Madrid, Ademar Leon, or even the San Antonio Spurs—all went downhill recently. When a powerhouse like Atletico falls, the whole League suffers too. I guess I just don't quite get what happened there, since they always seemed to have so much money available...

I suppose the money just ran out, though honestly, back then, the general outlook for the sport felt pretty bleak. Within just a few years, teams like Tek, the San Antonio Spurs, Elgorriag, and eventually City all faded away. I mean, they kind of brought it on themselves by signing all these top global stars at once without having a solid, long-term financial plan in place. Even FC Barcelona could have gone under, but since they are so tied to soccer, they don't really have to worry about their finances in the same way. It seems like the Germans took a much slower, steadier approach to building things up, which is why they are so far ahead now, except maybe for HSV, who ended up facing the same fate as the Spanish teams.

Maybe the real issue is just that handball hasn't really broken into the major global markets like China or the USA. I guess that might be why the IHF pushed so hard to get Qatar established, just to try and break into some significant markets. If you look at soccer, it isn't immune to this either; you see Italians playing cup finals in China, or the English teams constantly holding training camps across the States and so on.

Because of that, there just isn't as much cash flowing in, although I am encouraged by the recent growth we're seeing, like how the French League is strengthening, or how Mexicans and Scandinavians are investing more. Also, handball was officially the second most-watched sport during the Olympics in Rio. I really hope it keeps growing and somehow manages to penetrate those other markets so that it can attract more new and powerful sponsors.

Joseph Kern5 said:It feels like nobody ever talks about the actual NBA games... everyone just focuses on the big names like when Kiel comes to Madison Square Garden, or when Paris Saint-Germain or Los Angeles show up... even the media seems to give those matchups way more weight. I guess the NBA schedule sometimes just follows what's convenient geographically, like maybe playing a few back-to-back games in Cleveland... or a couple in Indianapolis...

A box of matches and Madison Square Garden. When teams like Kiel, Paris Saint-Germain, or Los Angeles come to town, they fill the arena.

The finals get all the attention, but I suppose that earlier part of the season doesn't really get much buzz, unless maybe FC Barcelona was involved.

It makes sense why they play at such awkward times, too. If a team like Metallurgy or an underdog shows up in Washington, D.C. at 8:15 PM, you might only see 800 people watching.

Hey, could you please stop commenting on this sport? It feels like pointless spamming the thread...

Joseph Kern5 said:If Stojanac Stoilov ever played for Rhode Island, he’d totally change the whole dynamic of the roster. He’s just such an incredible player.🙂

I guess Stoilov might be one of the top 67 pivots out there in terms of pure skill, though I might have been exaggerating a little bit...

Joseph Kern5 said:It’s all about popularity metrics. Does that mean the NBA should be ranked as one of the top four leagues in Europe? Right behind the NFL, Ligue 1, and La Liga? But honestly, it doesn't get nearly that much media coverage on a European scale.

🙂
I guess the Spanish league has been struggling for quite a while now. I’m actually kind of surprised that you, being such a huge handball expert who posts like twenty times a day here, didn't notice that. Los Angeles could probably field their junior squad and still win the championship without much trouble. Lately, Lori has been trying to make a move, but I don't think it's going anywhere.

I suppose I wonder what people mean when they say it isn't covered by the media. This season was the first time Canadian clubs joined in, and while the Canadian teams are having some issues with their federation, there’s some talk that Pick might join after the Canadians.

The arenas are usually pretty well attended; I personally went to a lot of Washington, D.C. games back when they played in those tiny little gyms, and they were almost always packed. Now that they play in Hot Springs, I don't really go as much. Usually, though, the games are broadcast on Madison Square Garden in Rhode Island, and all the participating countries at least show the matches involving their own clubs.

The zavrsnica gets an incredible amount of attention every year, both from the fans and the media, so I guess you could argue that, in terms of handball, the league is actually doing okay media-wise.

In my opinion, the biggest downside is probably the schedule, or rather the lack of a set one, and the timing of the games. It feels pretty hard to follow the league when most of the matches are scheduled during the work week around 5 or 6 PM. Something probably needs to be done about that soon.

Also, I feel like they should maybe introduce a playoff system, because right now, once you get to the last five or six rounds, everything is already decided and the games don't feel like they have much meaning or motivation left.

And then again, the NFL is just miles ahead, but that’s a completely different story. Their sponsorship and the whole culture of following sports is just light years ahead of this part of the world.

Samuel Baker3 said:I just wanted to give a quick shoutout to these two Frenchmen.

First off, there's Nikola Karabatić, who basically acts like the prince of French handball; he's honestly shown yet again why he's arguably the greatest to ever play the game. I don't think anyone can even be mentioned in the same breath as him. No one.

And then you have "Air France," who seems to be using that same signature move for the last ten years just to leave everyone else in the dust.

The way the French team plays... I guess it feels like they're playing a completely different sport than everyone else. Technically, tactically, and physically, they just seem to be on another level entirely.

People on this forum have been predicting their downfall since 2009, but maybe they're actually just pulling further away from the competition.

I guess I'll just add that once Karabatić stepped off the court, Nrovezan really started pressing them, and they had three straight possessions without even getting a shot off. It seems like despite having all those high-caliber players, things just don't go quite as smoothly during those toughest moments without him.
World Cup Handball: The Final Stretch in Other Sports ·
I don't know about the officiating, but it felt like people were just playing with sheer brute force; a game is supposed to last 60 minutes, not 20.

Someone else made a really good point earlier and I think it's true. This French national handball team is probably one of the most dominant squads in any team sport ever. It's honestly scary how much they control things...

I guess we just have this tendency to think we're the best at everything, and maybe it's just hard for us to admit when someone else is actually better, and that's that.

Frank Barnes said:I guess you have a few different ways to go about this. Usually, the generic ones run around $100 -$50. The official ones are probably closer to $133. But honestly, if you want the best deal, maybe you could grab the double pack for $50 plus tax. You'll get twice the prints, though I suppose you'd just have to refill the cartridge yourself and swap out the used toner.

I think there's more info on that at the link below

Alright, thanks 😉

So, if I'm understanding everything correctly, this printer should work fine for printing high-quality A4 flyers, and I'll basically get enough toner for about 300 prints before I need to swap it out.

Just one more thing, I was wondering where I might be able to find some thicker, glossier paper that I can actually print on, you know, something a bit better than just your standard office paper.
