Bad Times at the El Royale (2018) in Movies ·
Hands down one of the best movies this year. In a sea of endless superhero flicks and fantasy tropes, this was such a breath of fresh air—and don't even get me started on the soundtrack 😍

The 135-minute runtime absolutely flew by for us. There isn't a single slow moment; in fact,
the movie just keeps picking up steam as it goes. The characters are great, too. Some of them really win you over, and none of them feel like flat caricatures. Honestly, almost everyone stays right on that edge between good and bad—kind of like how the Hilton itself feels like it’s teetering on the brink. Will they cross over? Who knows? Everyone has their own journey, so I'm sure you'll find a favorite among the cast. I definitely recommend 🍿

It’s not insulting anyone either—not your intelligence or any of those debatable themes you sometimes see ☕ . There's just this genuine warmth to it. The drama is perfectly paced and stays grounded, without wandering off into unnecessary tangents or whatever else... It’s just such a beautiful film. Whoever made this clearly put their heart and soul into it, and I honestly value that way more than big-name stars, messy scripts, random subplots, political correctness, or just aiming for hits...

I mean, I don't think it's necessarily an Oscar for Best Picture contender, but the performances are incredible and definitely deserve some nominations. 🙂

Signed.

It's a lovely coming-of-age story with such a cozy, homey feeling.

I actually really enjoyed this movie! I don't know much about the genre specifically, but it was the perfect vibe for a lazy Sunday afternoon. The cast is fantastic, too—you can tell there’s some serious chemistry between everyone on screen.

What kind of digestive issues are you dealing with?
Your results look normal otherwise.

To be honest, I don't have any digestive issues at all. I’ve never dealt with stomach aches, bloating, or anything like that—nothing. Back in high school, I actually had to get tested because my dermatologist was convinced I had either an ulcer or H. pylori just because of some stubborn breakouts on my chin that wouldn't clear up. Turns out, I did have H. pylori! Luckily, I treated it with antibiotics about four years ago and haven't had a single issue since.

But I am definitely allergic to things—specifically, I have a pretty severe allergy to parabens. Right now, it's flaring up on the palms of both hands and my left wrist, so that could definitely be the culprit here. I was a little spooked by these high numbers, though, because when I checked my iron levels three months ago, everything was perfectly fine.

Thanks so much!
I went in for blood work this morning to check my iron levels—which look great!—and to test for H. pylori, which came back negative. While I was at it, I decided to run through most of my CBC just to be safe. Everything looks solid, except for one little thing that's got me slightly worried: my eosinophil granulocytes came in at 7.6%, while the standard lab range tops out at 7%.

Leukocytes: 6.0 ... 3.4 to 9.7
- neutrophil granulocytes 49.9% ... 44 to 72
- lymphocytes 34.1% .. 20 to 46
- monocytes 8.1 ... 2 to 12
- eosinophil granulocytes 7.6% ... up to 7
- basophil granulocytes 0.3% ... up to 1
- neutrophil granulocytes 3.0 .. 2.06 to 6.49
- lymphocytes 2.0 ... 1.19 to 3.35
- monocytes 0.5 ... 0.12 to 0.84
- eosinophil granulocytes 0.5 ... up to 0.43
Erythrocytes 3.94 .. 3.86 to 5.08
Hemoglobin 123 ... 119 to 157
Hematocrit 0.360 .. 0.356 to 0.47
MCV 91.1 ... 83 to 97.2
MCH 31.1 .. 27.4 to 33.9
MCHC 341 .. 320 to 345
RDW 12.4 ... 9 to 15
Platelets 178 ... 158 to 424
MPV - mean platelet volume - 10.5 ... 6.8 to 10.4

Thanks for the help!
