The era of the "safe" starter is dying in Fans ·
It feels like every single team is constantly obsessing over whether their current guy can actually handle the pressure or if they should gamble on a rookie. I’m getting tired of the constant carousel and the uncertainty it brings to a franchise. Do you guys think teams are being too impatient with their veteran starters lately?

Charles White11 said:Whenever you wander over to other spirituality forums online, you’re hit with such a massive wave of nonsense and sheer stupidity that it actually leaves you stunned. It’s shocking how little people truly grasp the things they claim to be manifesting.
There are maybe a handful of threads worth actually remembering or spending time on.
It honestly breaks my heart that such a tiny fraction of those visiting "spirituality" sites feels any urge to share their own lived experiences—those moments inspired by a spontaneous awe for this magnificent world surrounding us. The fact that so few people have anything meaningful to contribute speaks volumes.

Empty hearts, all babbling about astral planes, projections, and chakras...
I feel like I’m standing in a room full of blind old women, all shouting at once, arguing over whose definition of "color and shape" is more accurate.
The most pathetic part of the whole thing is how they all claim "experience" as their authority, tossing advice at one another, warning about dangers, and adopting these mystical pseudonyms...
If I had to pick the most fitting name for that cacophony, it would be: "The Forum of Expert Supines: Stupid and Stupider."

My heart aches—honestly, it really does.

You aren't alone in feeling this way, but hey, there might still be a glimmer of hope!
Look, if even a tiny group of them actually used their heads—if they could just pause for a second and feel the level of understanding, respect, and the genuine hunger for a deeper, stronger connection that we have right here—they would actually have something to learn. They might finally realize where they're headed.
But nope, not a chance!

Peter Flores67 said:There’s this old idea about two wolves fighting inside a person's soul.
One side is pure love and the other is just straight-up hate.

So, which one actually comes out on top?

The one you keep feeding!

I’ve actually heard a similar sentiment expressed before in the lyrics of a beautiful spiritual song!
It's a different way of putting it, but the core truth and the ultimate takeaway remain exactly the same.

The heart holds two burning fires,
Joy and sorrow, side by side,
And when one begins to boil over,
The other simply fades away!

They truly can't coexist at the same time. Just look at how life works. Will you let those bitter, angry wolves of hatred take over, or will you let the joyful warmth of being an Asik burn bright within you?
That's really what it all comes down to!🙂

Charles White11 said:Bravo,
my dearest brother Ašič,

Become people of the heart; give yourselves entirely to it.
Without a heart, you are merely beasts, stuck deep in the mud.

He who lacks a heart lives in vain,
And the passing world only admires such a hollow soul.
Rumi

The truth is tucked away in the very center of your heart. Allah the Exalted has entrusted you with its safekeeping.
It will reveal itself through your sincere repentance and your true devotion.
Abdul Qadir Gilani

My dear brother, your heart is your mirror, and you must wipe away the dust that has gathered on it. In a pure heart, the reflection of heavenly secrets will shine brightly.
Al-Ghazali

The heart is the king, and the rest of the body parts are its servants. Every part functions according to the heart's will and command, and that heart's will is surrendered to Allah the Exalted.
God is the Master of the heart; no one besides Him knows what lies hidden within. He alone descends upon the heart and takes from it whatever He wills. The heart is the place of divine unity. Allah the Exalted watches over it constantly.
He gazes upon our hearts because He has stored within them the most precious pearls and treasures of true knowledge about Him.
Tirmidhi

Hasan el-Basri once asked Habib El-Adzem how he managed to reach such a lofty spiritual station.
"By constantly whitening my heart through the remembrance of God, while being careful not to blacken the page with my own empty talk."
Atar of Nishapur

Salih used to tell his students all the time: "To those who knock persistently, the doors will surely open."
Rabia heard this, and one day she said to Salih: "Oh Salih, how long will you keep saying that certain doors need to be opened? Were those doors ever actually closed?"
Humbly, Salih made a request to Rabia, acknowledging her profound wisdom.
Atar of Nishapur

Here is a little bit of wisdom from the Sufi tradition!
Read with your heart, and you will understand the connection!
There’s no need for any complex philosophy here.

Charles White11 said:I don't sit around weeping for anyone, my friend. I don't walk around pitying the people in my life.
My heart isn't feeling particularly "soft" today, nor are those around me some group of helpless victims waiting on my charity.
If it weren't for me, how on earth would they manage to survive?
The heart isn't some non-profit organization where you just stay quiet and do the work.
To truly have a heart means touching the world around us through the ganuće.
When you touch the world that way, everyone you encounter becomes your kin; you experience every person as a brother or a sister, a father or a mother. There is no room for pity there—only the pure joy of giving, without motive or reason, without a paycheck or an expectation of repayment. And besides, if you happen to feel compassion for someone along the way, what is the harm in that?

Every interaction with the people surrounding you, every act of generosity—even the most efficiently organized charity drive—will eventually lose its soul and become nothing more than shallow human emotion if it isn't rooted in what I am saying.
(you actually touched on something similar in a few lines earlier)

And one more thing; it would be a real shame to turn this forum into a game of "Pokémon."
I'll hit you with my "blue flame" card, then you strike back with a devastating "Sleeping Buddha" move, and once I've recovered, Bam! I counter with the power of the "green ram.".....

Just stay calm, guys!

Go ahead, share some inspiration or tell us about your experiences. You have a grateful audience here ready to listen with enthusiasm.

I am a Catholic, yet also a Muslim lover, and yet here we are, tuned into the same frequency... sharing something meaningful.

Bravo!
boldnomad59 learns and realizes so much through our conversations here, Charles White11, but how do you prove it to those with cold hearts? It feels like a waste of breath. They'll figure it out eventually, but unfortunately, by then, it will be too late.
Everyone gets three chances to set things right and fix their path. Just imagine if this conversation was one of those chances for them, but they either turned a deaf ear or just laughed at us. They don't realize they might only have two chances left, or maybe one, or perhaps none at all. That’s the tragedy of it.
But, as our esteemed Dervish once said:
Only the lover understands the lover!
boldnomad59 adds:
They all endure the same sweet struggle, regardless of their names or how they identify themselves; their hearts beat with the same rhythm, and they speak of the same pure love.
But no, they'll probably realize it too late.

Hey, boldnomad59, why don't you just log out for a second, clear your head, and then come right back?
I remember this one time, ages ago, on a community forum, when a guy using the handle edenskivrtovi posted about this girl who absolutely tore a guy’s heart to pieces. He shared this little poem that really captured the vibe:

Look love straight in the eye and decide if you want to be a man,
because if you sit there with that frozen heart, her coldness will leave you shivering.
Seek the face of love, but know it isn't found in outward beauty;
it's the person walking that same path beside you with whom you'll share your pain!

That's pretty much it!
Peace be with you!

Charles White11 said:It is truly miraculous how the ganuće reveals itself so shyly...
Words fail me; the rhymes catch in my throat, and tears fall for no reason at all. How could I ever deserve this?
I am unworthy of such a gentle touch, especially since I neglected my dearest mother while wandering this world—my most precious one, who never asked for anything, yet always nurtured me with her entire being.
Through your rhymes, it feels as though he is telling me he hears me, that he hasn't forgotten me... My dearest!
When I think about how much of the world I have traversed, yet here he is, gentle and smiling, speaking through this banal medium, this ordinary little forum, caught in an indescribable moment that will sustain me for years to come.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, my dear brother Asic.
I have some good news of my own, and the ganuće was mentioned too; I feel compelled to share that with you.

The mercy of Kader the merciful, the very essence of humanity.
Thank God the merciful and compassionate for bringing us together here, brother!
Brother, you know exactly what needs to be done!
Don't hesitate for even a second, and don't overthink it!

You mentioned earlier that you didn't know how you earned this. Well, brother, let that be a sign of just how vast the mercy of the Merciful truly is. Every comment we make is secondary to this.

As Mevlan says in his 18th verse:

One cannot know the true state of the soul by looking only at the surface,
so let's end this talk and say peace be upon you!

More?😕

Man, I feel that!
But honestly, there's an even more powerful one coming right after!

When a face breaks into a smile,
it's like stepping into lush, green Sufi poetry.
It's a glimpse of the afterlife,
a light so bright it changes everything!

Man, oh man... we could all use a little more of that down here.😢 😢 😢 😢 😢

Charles White11 said:My old friend,
you really 🙂 hit home with this one!
I spent seven years traveling through all of Southeast Asia; I crossed India from one end to the other, all the way up to the Himalayas. There isn't a thing I haven't seen or a place I haven't been. I even picked up a language along the way.
Do you know what the most interesting part of the whole story is?
Everything was right under my nose the whole time, yet I didn't see it back then. I wasted so much time wandering through Asia searching for the heart, only to finally find it right here.
There is nothing quite like the true simplicity of our Franciscan brothers or the wisdom found among you Canadian folks.
A few months ago, I was officially in Boston, and I asked a local Bostonian friend to take me over to the Bey's Mosque—I wanted to pick up a CD of Islamic hymns, just to nourish the soul.
I listen to that one, "I stood by the Kaaba," and I just can't stop listening; it moves me to tears.🙂
Bless you,
stay well.

A true seeker doesn't go overboard when they tell you that you're a seeker too!
It’s not just something you think about—it’s something you feel in your soul. It's like a lost traveler finally finding the path home.

As Rumi once said:

Love is understood through the heart's own sighs.
But this isn't an illness, not like any physical ailment you'd find at a hospital.
The root of this "ache" of love is fundamentally different from any other kind of suffering.
Love is actually the instrument used to unlock the Divine Comedy.
Whether it comes from one side or the other, love shows us exactly where we came from and exactly where we are headed.

So, there you have it.
Just look at that. Your old man definitely knows his stuff! 🙂 😍

boldgull19 said:Man... maybe some... poetry? About it? 😍 😉

Blessed is the one who has mastered their own soul;
who can truly feel where the winds of divine grace blow.

Their heart is filled with the Beloved, nothing else remains within,
He flows through their very veins, and in them, He breathes!

The Dervishes cannot sense the scent or color of their own being,
for they belong entirely to Him, intoxicated by His presence!

Their heart is emptied of all desire for crowns or worldly power,
greed and vanity left their essence long ago.

They speak only with Him, they live only for Him;
they seek only from Him, and only to Him do they bow.

Long ago, they lost all sense of self,
living solely for the sake of Love.

They set out on a raw, rugged path, and now they are refined;
having lost their ego, they are consumed by the heart's fire!

Does that work!
That’s just how it is!
If anyone wants more, help yourself!🙂 😘

Take a deep breath, clear your mind,
speak ALLAH from the depths of your heart.
Don't tell anyone your state!
For your secret is His secret, and it belongs to you alone!
😉
Siddhartha in Spirituality ·
Siddhartha, is it Buddha or the other way around? Can you clear that up for me? Just please, don't give me some scanned textbook definitions or a massive lecture on the history of it all. If you could just keep it super brief!
Also, regarding that part you mentioned—"THE ONE WHO FOUND IT"—I'm assuming you're talking about enlightenment here. But my question is: what kind of enlightenment are we actually talking about?
Look, I’m really not trying to be clever or get into some pointless back-and-forth argument with you.
