At the local bakery, those little cookies go for about 10 to $6.75, depending on how fancy the icing is... so just do the math...
Personally, I thought the price sounded a bit steep 🤣

You can pick some up from Vincek—I’ve seen them carrying it before—but honestly, I think you or even a local pastry chef could whip it up if they have the right touch. Then again, anyone specializing in wedding cakes probably ought to be pretty skilled anyway...

It’s possible the boss is off at some seminar again; she spends a fair amount of time hitting up trade shows and keeping tabs on the latest trends🤷

It feels pretty much impossible here in the States...
maybe in a few years...

I'm thinking mine will probably land somewhere around $1,500 for 110 people, though I might end up chipping in even more than that... 🙂

I’m definitely going to order my cake from them too... For the last few years, we’ve been getting all our birthday cakes from there, and not only do they look stunning, but they actually taste great, too. Definitely a solid choice!

I ended up going with Slatka Tajna for the cake. It turns out it isn't even that pricey, and I'm pretty sure it’s going to be gorgeous and delicious. 🙂 Now I'm starting to get a little anxious about the other desserts, too. At the local fair, I think there were maybe two bakeries from Kansas City that were selling $20 pounds of sweets—has anyone actually tried them? Honestly, I wasn't really in the mood for sampling anything that day...
I did stop by Gruber’s pastry shop once, and their stuff isn't bad, but I have no idea if they're any good for wedding orders.

Oof, yeah, that’s definitely not cheap... and honestly, everything feels way more expensive now that prices have spiked everywhere. I guess I'll just have to bake the cake myself 😁

Does anyone happen to know how much a cake costs from that lady’s bakery in that suburban town near a major metropolis—I think it’s called Sweet Secret? I tried one of their cakes and it was honestly amazing, I'm just a little worried about the price tag since it looked so fancy
