Anyone else tired of the "expert" picks? in Betting Forum ·
I feel like every time I look at sports betting sites, there's some "pro" claiming they've cracked the code for the week. It honestly feels more like a coin flip than actual strategy most of the time. Does anyone actually trust these weekly predictions, or are you all just playing it by ear?

Could someone please share some insights regarding Ana Grgić's makeup artistry? I'd love to hear about your personal experiences or any feedback you might have!

Thanks much

Tonight's the Night! Oh my god, let's goooooooo!
My apologies! I realize it might be a bit harsh to hear such negative feedback regarding the venue you picked, but perhaps this perspective could actually serve as a helpful heads-up for anyone else still weighing their options! ☕

Pixar is at $42, and the robot ok (where is it located?) is $36. A hotel in Washington, D.C. (the last bastion of old-school grit) is running about $33. Now we’ve suddenly got Kool thrown into the mix at $36. Does anyone actually have experience with Kool? Word on the street is the food quality has gone downhill...

No offense intended toward anyone, but regarding Fabula—as great as it might look on paper—whenever I recall that neon-fluorescent pea I had in France... good grief... I honestly don't know if anything has changed in the last ten months, but back then, the meal was well below what you'd expect for the price tag. So...🤷! It's not that I'm the type of person who needs everything to be flawless, nor is food usually the deciding factor for me, but they didn't even manage to serve a decent sequence of courses! Oh, and let's not forget—there was a grasshopper in my salad😕. What can I even say? The potatoes were leftovers from yesterday, sitting next to the roasted meat, smelling off, hard, and cold... I'd better stop listing things!

As for The Beatles, I haven't been there in ages, but personally, both the food and the service were perfectly fine! 👍

Now that I read this post back, I sound absolutely rude😍

I’m actually looking to gather some intel on that restaurant in New York City—specifically regarding their capacity, the quality of the food, the level of service, and all that good stuff... thanks!
Anyway, thanks for all the comments. I’m planning on sitting down with my sister tomorrow to go through them all—mostly just to keep her from thinking I’m jumping back into the marriage pool again—but honestly? I think the decision has already been made regardless of what she thinks!
The duo Vinuti and Ivo—could someone please provide some insight? Does anyone have any actual reviews, praise, or even a bit of criticism to share? I'd love to hear it!

Perhaps it was premature of me to bring them up at all.😁 I suppose I took a bit of a leap by sharing, mainly because I haven't actually heard them play live yet—even though they did reach out to invite me to a gig. Since they are such a new group, I didn't feel right recommending them on a forum like this just yet.
At the end of the day, no matter what kind of music you book for a wedding, you're never going to please everyone. My dad and my older aunts and uncles are much more into classic country legends like Johnny Cash or old-school folk ballads🤣, so I am fully aware that my band probably won't be their cup of tea.🙂

I saw them play a while back! It was Milan Terze playing with a group—I think that's the band in question—and they were actually pretty great!☕

Jack Miller4 said:He actually told me that himself via email when I reached out to inquire about his services. He mentioned he's shutting down his business in August and will be stopping all wedding photography altogether.

I honestly don't know what to think! Regardless, I feel terrible about it—what a massive shame! 🤷

Jack Miller4 said:Jacob Teklić says he's shutting down his business this August and stepping away from wedding videography for good.

Oh, come on!😲 He might just be taking two or three months off because he's getting married in October. My last bit of info was that he wouldn't be working the month before or the month after his wedding, but now we're hearing he's closing up shop entirely? Oooooh... that would actually be news! You should give him another call and really dig for the truth.

And for what it's worth, I recommend Jacob 100%! 👍
Jack Murphy7 said:I actually heard something else entirely... I played the background music for a wedding dinner held at the Marriott... the rate was about $90, though the groom mentioned they negotiated a much lower price.
How that works, I have no idea... they charge for everything, opening the champagne, etc... but you negotiate the base price, starting at $90... and then it goes from there...

I was at that same bachelor bash, but I'm not entirely sure how low that price actually went, considering they charge for opening every single bottle—not just the champagne, but the wine too $13 🤷.
The group only brought their own wine, and even then, it was just red, served with lamb. As for dessert, they wouldn't dream of bringing any, nor would the guests think of taking leftovers, because anything left over stays at the hotel for their lunch the next day!!!

As for the atmosphere, it was fantastic—truly top-tier. The staff and service were excellent; if you can afford it, go for it, honestly, hats off to them!

Oh, and I'm not even certain if those $100 included drinks, given that they don't put standard large bottles on the tables, just those tiny 6-ounce pours, and oh, I almost forgot to mention—even the plain water was bottled! 😍

That's great! 😍 You aren't going to regret it! 👍
Jack Murphy7 said:I don't think it'll be a problem. I was with a band at the Phoenix last Saturday—they also have two halls sharing a wall. Unlike Dugopolje, which seems to have the rooms separated by a hallway... so by that logic, it should be even quieter.
The trick is to make sure the bands from both sides coordinate their breaks... and keep any loud stuff to a bare minimum.

You honestly can't hear the music from one room to the other—at least not at Doris! I hosted a party in the small hall while Ferat's duo was playing, and Viva was performing in the next room over, yet nobody was bothered by the sound, and I'm talking specifically about the music!!!
It seems some guests from the neighboring room just found my party more entertaining than the one they were actually attending, which is why they kept drifting over to us—it had nothing to do with the music being too loud!!! 😍
Paul Mendoza17 said:Actually, I think the venue in Dugopolje might be my best bet.

- Does anyone here have experience hosting events at the Dugopolje location?

- How was the food quality in your experience?

p.s. I heard they have two halls side-by-side, each holding about 300 people, which can be combined to create a larger or smaller space. My concern is whether having two separate weddings happening at the same time would cause any interference between the two groups.

Thanks, Advance!!!

I hosted my reception in the smaller hall at Dugopolje (around 150 guests) and I have nothing but praise!

As for the food—everything was fantastic. The quality was top-notch (my guests couldn't stop raving about it)!

I definitely recommend them!!! 👍🙏
fadedbadger35 said:Does anyone have a recommendation for someone who could handle singing a few hymns at a church service? I’m looking to hire an opera singer specifically

I'll send you the phone number via private message for a girl who used to sing for me; she was accompanied by someone who played the organ, though there's absolutely no obligation!👍

hollowpilot58 said:I feel the same way about Adria; they aren't all that special. They were definitely at the top of their game a long time ago, but the lineup changed and now they’ve lost their edge. That’s just my take, though.

Since I’m a musician myself, I have some thoughts.😍😍I won't name his band publicly because I refuse to give them free advertising.

I'm honestly confused—who exactly is playing in your band?

I'm playing with the Ferata Duo!

They truly blew me away, and I can't recommend them enough!

where can I actually go listen to Trio Adria? 🙂

Well, now 😕 given how much jumping around we've done just to find them, I'm not so sure.

At one point, they were our absolute last resort for a party (literally the only ones available for that date), BUT once we sat down to watch a DVD from a previous gig where they were playing and drinking, I honestly started crying from pure frustration.

Look, personally, I don't think they're necessarily bad musicians, fine—Shimung is decent enough—but the other two? They're like two wooden marionettes just stumbling through, tossing out little bits they've memorized. And the girl singing with them was great, but she eventually just got lost in the shuffle! So... if you don't mind that sort of thing, go ahead.

And there's one more thing that rubbed me the wrong way: their attitude. Their whole approach and way of talking was so dismissive; they basically snatched the DVD right out of the coffee shop where we were sitting and walked off without a single word, just like, "Fine, you deal with it!" 🤷

Sorry! That's just my experience—it was terrible.

Austin Sanchez9 said:Since they perform both as a full band and as a duo, it seems there is some level of satisfaction there. I would personally love to experience Viva, but the costs are simply too high for me right now. My partner is keen on seeing them, so we are currently trying to figure out our options and see what might be possible.

Hey there!

I've seen the duo version of Ferata before (though they can also bring in a full band or an extra vocalist depending on how you want to mix things up 🤣).
Everyone I know was absolutely blown away by them, so I give them my warmest recommendation! 👍👍
When you consider the massive gap in price, they really don't fall behind Viva in terms of quality!

rapidmason10 said:As for the drinks... obviously they're serving Fanta and Coca-Cola... I mean, who else serves that generic store-brand junk at a venue? 😲😲

Personally, I didn't have nearly as good of an experience with the Castle when it comes to the food... plus, the service was way too slow for my liking.

I've heard the same thing about the food and the service being subpar!

Now, I can't tell if that was just specifically regarding the one banquet we're discussing, or if it's their general reputation... I honestly don't know.😍
