I just wanted to share a little bit of good news 🙂
About two weeks ago, we finally put down a deposit to secure our band 🙂... we were attending a wedding for some dear friends recently, and they performed there, and honestly, what can I even say... it was love at first sight, or perhaps more accurately, love at first sound
..they have brought on a new lead singer since then, but otherwise, I truly believe they can only get better from here 🙂
We’ve already touched base with the bandleader, and we plan to hammer out all the finer details about a week or two before the big day; if there's anything they aren't familiar with, we can always work something out so they can learn it by then, though based on their current repertoire... I think everything they play is exactly the kind of music everyone loves to hear 🙂
I am just feeling so incredibly happy about this... the band is Sugar Cookie 🙂... and I suspect the pricing is quite reasonable as well..

I recently stopped by a bakery over in Kansas City and ordered a pound of their wedding assortment from Bond, and honestly, my guests were absolutely floored by the treats... we ended up with about 25 different varieties, and every single one was spectacular. They were incredibly fresh, too, and the shop itself is just such a lovely, tidy little spot... I’m seriously considering just sourcing both the cake and the dessert spread from them for future events.

Has anyone ever actually tried the cakes or pastries from the Kaiser bakery? I believe it’s located over on Dubois Street, if my memory serves me right...
We ended up picking Inela for our restaurant choice...there aren't any desserts or cakes listed on their main menu, though you can certainly request them after the fact...they charge an extra $2 per person for pastries, or just $1 per person if you want a slice of cake...so, now...if you happen to have ordered anything similar or have sampled their sweets before...please let me know...is it actually worth the extra cost?
