You’re going to end up making compromises unless you have a massive bank account. 🙂I toured every single venue in California and the surrounding areas, and let me tell you, every single one had some kind of catch! In the end, I went with the Bellevue. It’s practically walkable, the layout is symmetrical, the price was fair, and the food was solid. The only downside was the access road being a total pain, but... hey, you take what you can get!
I also had my party at Bellevue and honestly, I was blown away. The hall, the service—everything was top-tier. And I didn't even have to ask around; everyone I talked to who used them said the exact same thing. So yeah, I can recommend them with zero regrets.👍 Personally, I think that hall is way nicer than St. Jude's. St. Jude's is ugly to me—those social tiles on the floor just don't give off luxury vibes at all, let's be real. And Castello is a pretty hall, but the feedback on their food and service is hit-or-miss; sometimes it's great, sometimes it's terrible, so it's a total gamble.🤷 The only thing Bellevue is lacking is a better entrance to the hall, honestly, but when I weighed the pros and cons, I decided to trade that off for everything else they offer.
man, this lounge in Austin looks killer😁

I’ve been sitting here thinking about the points raised earlier, and while I see where everyone is coming from, I feel like we might be overlooking a few nuances. It’s easy to get caught up in the heat of the moment, I guess, but maybe if we take a step back, we can look at this from a slightly different angle? Anyway, just my two cents. kaže: So, I was at a party this past Saturday, and I just felt like I should take a moment to give a little shout-out to the crew... they really did an incredible job. I have to say, Billie’s place over in Savannah is absolutely top-notch... honestly, I was so impressed. The venue itself is incredibly clean and well-organized—everything just flows perfectly—and both the service and the food were stellar. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great spot. 👍 The bend 100s turned out great—the guys did an absolutely stellar job with the priming. Since we were working with international-grade pir, I figured we’d need to be a bit more generous with the volume and density of the fill... but honestly, the crew nailed the task perfectly. Seriously, hats off to them. top: |
Hey, I saw you were actually at that Bellevue venue over in Savannah... how many people ended up showing up to the party? A close friend of mine is currently torn between Honeybee and Bellevue—she absolutely loved the look of the ballroom at Bellevue, but she’s a little worried about the crowd size. She’s concerned there might be too much congestion and that everyone won't be able to fit comfortably on the dance floor if they have around 140 or 150 guests.
Look, I had my bash at Billie and we had 170 people there.🙂 Out of those, 90 were young—meaning everyone was on the floor—plus a bunch of older folks dancing too. Yeah, when everybody stands up at once, it gets tight, but honestly, not everyone dances at the same time. And regarding the space? There was tons of room between the tables. My guests kept raving about how gorgeous the room looked and how it didn't feel cramped at all, even though I had the exact same fears your friend does. Bottom line: the room, the service, and the food are top-tier. I’d recommend them to anyone. I heard Honeybee doesn't look quite as good, but I've never been, so I can't really say for sure.😉
Megan Reyes73 check your DMs😉
Mine’s pretty standard, but you can tweak bits here and there. Like, I’ll swap stuff out, but whatever... just head over there. The girl is super chill and easy to deal with—you can work anything out with her😉
Anonymous said:What about the price?
I feel like I saw somewhere that it was around $40?
Does that include drinks?
How does the system work?
yeah, $40 covers everything for me—drinks (wine, beer, soda, water) and the room decor, but doesn't include the head table...
and hey, if you're talking about February 2010, you can just make up whatever venue you want at this point😉
They’ve got parking right behind the hotel plus that spot out front by the farmer's market—people tell me they use that one all the time. Honestly, finding a spot isn't even an issue.😉
Look, I’ve got an inside track there so I can give you the real scoop... the contract says they can handle up to 250 people, but honestly? 200 is probably the sweet spot before things get messy. I sent over some cash earlier—you can check my signature if you want to see the proof—maza9.9 posted some shots of the venue there, or I can just shoot you the photos I have directly via email.😉
Rebecca Nelson59 said:I know we’ve already gone down the rabbit hole regarding deli meats—enough said there—but I’m asking for some help navigating a dilemma—or let’s call it what it really is, a trilemma. I’m torn between choosing Pirate, San Antonio, or Bolero. The catch? I’m only catering for about 90 people, maybe even fewer, which means I have an equal number of pros and cons for every single option. I’d love to get your take on this because, frankly, more heads are better than one!
Bolero isn't gonna work for a crowd that small.🤔
Pirate is probably the same deal—they want at least 150. You might be able to squeeze in on a Friday, but then they cap the guest list even tighter.😉 As for San Antonio, I think someone had a wedding there recently and raved about the venue.😉
Michael Davis21 said:I mentioned that I really want Patrick for the video because his work is seriously insane—he filmed a video for one of my friends and it was just wild! As for the photographer... I wasn't sure who to pick... I talked to Mark (my boss) and he told me that if I had any specific wishes regarding the crew, I should just let him know... he even offered to take the pictures himself! But honestly, I have no idea about photography... 😁 maybe he's an amazing boss but a mediocre photographer...🤷
He’s done a few weddings I’ve attended... and they are definitely good, but you can see these little inconsistencies in quality and creativity... 😉and I just want everything to be absolutely perfecteeeeeeeeeee...😢😁
So Patrick is a go, haha, awesome! Honestly, I'm stoked because from what I know, he's definitely filming my party
Regarding the photographer, he's looking for that bell sound like I mentioned before; he's definitely the top-tier guy at Photo Martha, so you won't have a single worry😉😉
I dig Mark's style, but I'm not sure if you can still snag a crew—check if they're even available first... Zvon is their top photographer, but for videographers, people always mention Patrick or Ivan. Honestly, I don't know either of them, so I'm drawing a blank there.😉
p.s. Where'd you see their work? 😉
So I finally pulled the trigger and booked Antonia Guc today. Everyone’s been raving about her—I even got a glowing recommendation from this pro makeup artist out in Chicago. If you want her number, just shoot me a DM and I'll send it over.😉
Look, I’ve got a hundred guys on speed dial and they are all absolute legends—super chill, easy to work with, and you can hammer out any deal with them, whether it's the setlist or whatever else is on the table👍 as for those other losers, I don't even know who they are🤷
Just a heads-up, Bellevue doesn't even take bookings for groups under 130 people. I’m mentioning it because I saw you hunting for a venue for maybe 110 or 120 people if I read that right...
Zachary White9 said:Was this your top pick? What’s your score like—and when did you take the test? I really need to call tomorrow—there’s still one date open in September, and I’m low-key terrified someone else is going to snag it first. Honestly, the gym is great, just my aim isn't exactly perfect—what do I know? I always figured it would be love at first sight! 🙂
Look, I don't know... I'm not from around here, so I didn't really have a bunch of venues to pick from. I was choosing between that place on the highway, St. Croix, and Bellevue... I went with Bellevue because I liked the vibe best. Plus, getting to St. Croix means driving out to the island, and in the summer, you're stuck in a hundred-car traffic jam coming through Savannah, which is a total nightmare. For me, the venue is great. The lady running things is awesome—super nice and easy to talk to. The only downside is definitely being way up at the top of the building, but hey, who's gonna find a place that's absolutely perfect? 🤷 And the price is decent. My guest list is sitting around 200-220 people on paper, but honestly, it'll probably be 200 max...
Look, I’m staying at the Bellevue, so if you’ve got questions, just ask.😉
The first one was alright, then the second one—though it still missed the mark—and the rest? Meh, just okay...
So basically, I need to track down a number for some choir or maybe a Harmonics player 🙄 haven't figured that part out yet...
Look, I can totally vouch for the 100's band—they’re actually playing at my party soon. They can do a duo or a trio depending on what you're feeling. I saw a DVD from a previous bash they played and man, they seriously know how to get the vibe going. Plus, they aren't breaking the bank and they're super easy to work with if you need to hammer out details.👍 So if you want their number or anything else, just hit me up in a DM.
I think silentpuma28 is spot on. I went in for my checkup during my eighth month and they told me 38 weeks, unless they totally changed the rules on me recently.🤷
