John Lopez29 said:It would be absolutely amazing if I could just whip up another batch myself, but there’s this strict rule that all the cookies and cakes have to come from a licensed professional bakery. The only way I can really pull this off is by placing a massive order for a large cake from a local shop—not quite enough for a hundred people, but big enough for about 120 guests. I’m honestly sitting here wondering if that sounds a bit ridiculous, though. Maybe I’m totally overthinking things and stressing out for nothing, but looking at the size of it, it feels like it might be a little small for a crowd that big... 🤷

They didn't even ask us specifically where that second cake was coming from—so really, you could just pick one up from a professional bakery and bring it to the restaurant. And hey, if nobody touches it, you've got a cake ready to take back to the office or wherever you might want to treat someone else the next day! That was actually our plan for it, but since we ran short on the main cake, this one ended up being our perfect little lifesaver. 😁

John Lopez29 said:Hey ladies, can anyone help a girl out? Everything else is totally checked off the list, but now I’m stuck on the cake situation and I just cannot make up my mind. I know where I want to get it, I just haven't picked a style yet. 😁
So, I called up the bakery today to check things out and put down a reservation, but now I have to head over there in person to go over the design. And here’s where I’m hitting a wall: the lady there told me that if I want to feed about 100 people, we should probably go with a three-tier setup. But I was really dreaming of one of those sleek, seamless cakes—you know, without the big stands in between layers—and I'm worried that if I go that route, it's gonna look way too tiny. 🤷
If you guys could drop some pics of romantic-looking cakes below, that would be amazing! I'm going for a super soft vibe with champagne and apricot tones. Sorry for rambling, but honestly, with the wedding only a month away, every single little detail feels like a massive deal right now.
Thanks so much!
🙂

I actually went with a single-stack, round three-tier cake myself. It was meant for about 80 guests, but we actually ran a little short on slices toward the end... If you're feeling nervous about the size, maybe do what we did? We brought an extra cake to the venue as a gift, so the servers just kept bringing more out—and if we ran low, they'd just supplement with pieces from the second one. 😁

Drew Turner72 said:That's such great info! Do you happen to know roughly what size they are? I might be heading down toward Monterey in a couple of weeks, so if I can swing it, I'll definitely try to stop by and check them out... thanks so much.. 😉

Of course! 😉
It's about 8" x 4" and 3" high—pretty much your standard size, I'd say.
There is also a slightly larger, squarer version that's a bit shallower—it costs a few extra bucks, too—but honestly, I think the first option is the way to go...

For my friends living around Monterey and the surrounding areas—if you’re looking for plastic cookie containers, you can find them at Stanton for just $0.35 🙂
. I stumbled upon this a few days ago and ended up grabbing 50 of them today! 😉
