I have to say, Dr. Naumovski Mihalić is a top-tier super gastroenterologist internist. Unfortunately, she also retired, so she's no longer at Mercury, but I still see her privately. She works at Mayo Clinic and Novamed Clinic usually one day a week.

🤷
Since we already ordered our cake somewhere else, I didn't bother asking Orient about their wedding options.
When it comes to cookies, trust absolutely no one but yourself. 😉
It is unfortunate that you were working with incorrect information. Regardless, your cake was absolutely magnificent, and that is what truly matters!

I honestly have no clue what the price tag looks like for either Orient or Piece of Cake.
Piece of Cake is $40/lb. Orient doesn't carry individual pastries besides tea biscuits (they only do custom cream cakes upon request).

I think they might even throw you a discount if you bundle their cakes and pastries together.
Oh, right—we actually tried the cakes from Slast. "Piece of cake" is a bit of an understatement; I thought they were delicious!
The reason we didn't go with them was because they usually put chocolate or something more structural on the bottom tier, which limits what you can layer on top—like a parfait or whatever. Since we wanted the whole thing to be parfait, we ended up going with Monika instead.
A friend suggested the "Orient" cakes from Slast, but they don't really do tiered cakes. Your options there are basically just getting several separate cakes; they’ll make one larger one for slicing and then you have the others sitting off to the side.
I'm sorry, but I had a seven-tier cake from Orient where every single layer was a different flavor, and it was fantastic. Everyone kept eyeing each other's plates to try different kinds. I have no idea where you got that information.
Piece of Cake makes excellent mini pastries...every single one has a distinct flavor so you actually know what you're eating. It’s not like those other bakeries where they just use the same cream for five different types of treats.
I should also mention that I had these incredible mignon pastries at a wedding once. We actually ordered them again for Christmas to see if they lived up to the hype, but they were an absolute disaster... honestly, it was like they weren't even the same treats. I just don't get it.
I have sampled Osmijeh, Mala Kuca Kolaca, Cukeraj, Piece of Cake, Meli, and several other pastries from Paromlinska. I must say, most of them were frankly terrible. They are far too heavy on margarine, and the fillings in the cakes are almost identical, except for those using jam instead of cream. I am quite disappointed. The only highlights were Piece of Cake and Cukeraj. Those actually tasted decent; each had a distinct flavor, so you knew whether you were eating vanilla, coconut, or chocolate. I decided on a cake very quickly, but choosing among these pastries is proving to be a struggle. I think I'll go with Cukeraj—hopefully they offer a bulk discount! Thanks, ladies.
Dear ladies,
I just wanted to share my experience and ask if I'm being unreasonable here. I decided to order some treats from Piece of Cake, which are priced at $40 per pound. When I went to place my order, the clerk told me point-blank that there wouldn't be even a single cent of a discount on a 40-pound order because their prices are fixed. I was absolutely stunned. Since when does buying one pound cost the exact same as buying forty? She actually had the nerve to tell me that people have ordered even larger amounts in the past, but the manager simply refuses to budge on pricing. It drove me crazy; I was expecting at least a small break on the price per pound for an order of $37. Because of such blatant rudeness, I walked away and am now looking elsewhere. What has your experience been with this bakery? Do they ever offer bulk discounts?
Thanks,
jos uvijek sam u potrazi za kolacima: I've already tried Meli, Piece of Cake, Sugarland, and the Little Cookie House, and finally ended up with a smile from Aspen. So far, Piece of Cake is the clear frontrunner. Does anyone have any other recommendations before I make my final decision? I need desserts that are truly high-quality, without excessive margarine or artificial additives. I should be finalizing this by next week. Thanks so much for the help!

Where did you get those pastries? Where can I go to try or buy them?

Are you serious? I'm doing great; heading straight to my audition today.🙂
Thanks!
I tried Meli and I have to say, I was thoroughly disappointed. I was expecting much more sophisticated pastries. A few of them tasted identical despite being different items! I went to Piece of Cake to fix my mood and was absolutely delighted. Does anyone have any other great bakeries to recommend? The only issue with Piece of Cake is they don't really carry dry cookies; most of their stuff is quite creamy...
I have already decided that I will be ordering my wedding cake from a local bakery in Springfield because they are my absolute favorites. However, I am at a loss regarding what to do about the dry pastries. Does anyone have any advice? I recently attended a wedding where they served these little bite-sized treats labeled "mignardises," if I recall correctly. Does anyone know where one might find those and what the typical cost is?
