I was actually thinking about sticking to our names too, and I’ve already got a shockingly cool hat ready to go, but since the whole theme is silver and blue, I really don't want to clash by adding some wild, multicolored designs. My thought was to pick two or three simple patterns to wrap around all the bottles. What do you think? I'm looking at painting 200 bottles here, and if they end up being too rainbow-heavy, I’m worried the whole thing might end up looking like a total circus
Chloe Evans6, what kind of look were you going for with those little bottles? Are you thinking about drawing something on them? I’d love to jump in, but I’m honestly feeling a bit stuck for inspiration right now.
I've already locked in everything—the venue, the band, photography, videography, and the lighting setup, and I'm just waiting on the final quote for the flowers, but I'm pretty sure that'll be settled soon too.
I’m running into a bit of a dilemma. I grew up in a small town in the Midwest, and I recently saw this incredible wedding cake designed to look like a literal castle, complete with all those intricate turrets and domes, but I haven't been able to track down anything like it anywhere If anyone happens to have some photos of cakes like that, I would absolutely love to see them. Also, does anyone know where you can pick up wedding cake toppers? I'm really looking for something unique and a little out there, but here in my neck of the woods, everything seems to be pretty basic.
I’m planning on bringing some bourbon and maybe a nice liqueur for the ladies, though bringing along some Jägermeister or an Amaretto wouldn't be a bad idea either. It would probably be better if that basket we're using to carry all the booze was a little fuller, too.
Matthew Foster66 said:Is it actually difficult to track down wedding supplies—you know, things like boutonnieres, table runners, candles, and the rest—along the Midwest corridor? I’ve only been out that way once in my life, and I honestly don't recall seeing anything like that available nearby!
Let me make this super simple for you! As soon as you walk into Hall 15, there’s a little shop right on your left side where I picked up everything I needed, and honestly, it’s the cheapest spot around. Just jot that down and you'll be all set, you won't go wrong.🙂
Since this thread is all about weddings in the Midwest, I have a quick question for you all. Has anyone ever heard of a makeup artist named Nicole? I’ve been hearing rumors that Jane Marijanovic (I might have the name slightly off) actually trained under her, but apparently, Nicole ended up taking some maternity leave, which caused a huge surge of clients to head over to Jane instead. Does anyone happen to have any insight on this?
I’m planning on having about 200 traditional hats ready I have 60 tables set up, so I definitely need extras in case someone finishes their little bottle and needs a refill The servers won't be grabbing stuff from the neighboring tables I need enough supplies at my station and at my partner's, so it's much better to overprepare than to run short In Chicago, we're expecting a huge wedding party, and I'll have roughly 500 guests attending That is sooo many people How many of us are confirmed for September 18th? 😁
I’m planning to have a local artisan make some custom mini hats, and I was thinking about decorating small glass bottles with glass paints. My idea is to buy those little squeeze tubes to write the names and dates on them. The thing is, I’d need to grab 9 of those individual tubes to get the job done.😁
I’m going to make those little orange soda bottles with the tiny party hats too, but I’m actually planning to hand-draw the details on every single one!
I have a quick question if anyone here happens to know the answer do I need to have an even or an odd number of bridesmaids, or is that even not a factor at all?????
Oh, that’s awesome about those fancy bows! I checked both Hobby Lobby and Michaels, and they’re coming in at around $1.50 $0.57 I’m planning to head over to Corridor Crafts too, so I’ll let you guys know which one turns out to be the better deal Does anyone happen to know how much those little roses cost at Corridor? I need a pretty large amount, but here at my local shop, it’s $1.50 only 12 pieces
velvetpuma61 I have no idea where you found that wedding dress, but if you haven't already, you should definitely check out Nordstrom. They usually throw in a little something for the flower girl for free!
Honestly, what is with all these arguments? People shouldn't be fighting over things like taste You guys are just creating unnecessary tension here This was a great topic, so let's try to keep it that way
So, who’s going to be handling your hair? Have you decided if you’re going for any major transformations, like lash extensions, hair extensions, or something else entirely?
