Maria Fisher46 said:Hi there,

Are you experiencing any discomfort or pain when you go? These results can sometimes be caused by sample contamination. This usually happens if the specimen isn't collected correctly—for instance, if you don't use the midstream technique, which fails to flush out the end of the urethra, or if the urine touches your skin, fingers, or the rim of the container.

The anesthesiologist might ask you to redo the test.

Best regards. 🙂

I don't have any issues with urination.
It’s very possible the sample was contaminated.
I picked up a sterile collection cup today, so I'll bring it to the hospital tomorrow in case they need me to retake the test.
Thanks for the input.
I'll just see what the anesthesiologist says in the morning.
I could use some help making sense of these urine results. I have a pre-op appointment with my anesthesiologist tomorrow, and everything else looks perfectly fine except for this part.

Urinalysis
(U) TEST STRIP
Appearance cloudy clear

(U) SEDIMENT
Leukocytes 15 count/hpf 0-2 (x400)
Epithelial cells 15 count/hpf 0-1 (x400)

Bacteria significant neg to +++ neg (x400)
My CRP is 30.4, while the normal range goes up to 5.0..

My doctor sent me to the lab this morning, but they won't have the results ready until Monday afternoon to discuss my treatment plan.
Should I head to the ER? My other blood work came back within the normal range.

Symptoms:
Two weeks ago: nasal congestion and coughing up yellow-green phlegm.
Now: general weakness, occasional chills, and a strong dry cough.

I told him that we should just do things the classy way: we'll slice the cake nicely, he can give me a piece, I'll give him a piece, and that's that. No need for all the extra drama or making a huge spectacle out of everything...

That's exactly how we're going to handle it.
