Oh yeah, because I am just *so* incredibly interested right now

Scott Perez62 said:I actually got a recommendation from another lady on this forum who ordered these exact same treats from her, so we went out to try them and they are honestly such incredible pastries (she lives over in Saint Helena) and she even offers delivery, so just like I mentioned before, if anyone wants the details I can definitely pass along her number.

Honestly, if you head just a bit outside the city, you can find much more reasonable prices. I know a couple of people who found some for about $18/lb out in Kansas City.

Scott Perez62 said:We went to a tasting yesterday, and honestly, those desserts were absolutely incredible because every single one had such a distinct, unique flavor profile instead of just being the same repetitive stuff I’ve seen at so many weddings... we ended up ordering our sweets ( $17 /kg) along with a cake priced at $83. We are beyond thrilled with everything! And just so you know, the owner even gives out a certificate 🙂

That's an awesome deal for the treats; from what I hear, you can't find anything cheaper than $23/kg in New York City.

I’ll just take one chocolate cake for myself, and let Mom and my husband fight over the other two because honestly, I can't deal with stacking three cakes on top of each other. Mom keeps trying to push this tiered stand on me that supposedly holds five cakes and has these little swans on it—she swears it looks gorgeous, but I don't know, it just doesn't really sound like my vibe 😂

Sandra Hernandez9 said:Yes, they’re going to make some pictures for us too. All we have to do is write "Thank You" on them along with our names and the date. The girls will just pop them into envelopes and that’ll be that—which, honestly, works perfectly fine for me. 🙂

hahaha we actually told him the same thing, to just put the names and dates right on the photos 😂 so I don't have to spend forever handwriting all those thank-you notes 🙂 and we can just keep the cards themselves pretty simple, though I gotta say, your idea about using the envelopes isn't half bad either.

I agree—if you stay mindful of certain details, everything should turn out just fine in the end.😉
Is Mickey going to be handling the thank-you notes for you?
My uncle works at a local print shop, so he’ll be knocking out my invitations in the next few days. They probably won't look exactly how I originally envisioned them—but then again, it's just an invitation, isn't it? Most people will likely glance at it once and toss it in the bin anyway.🤷 We managed to save at least fifty bucks this way.🙂

Ours is over $6667 with the servers, cooks, chairs, and chair covers for about 220 people since they charge per seat. We're planning to bring our own food and drinks too, so we'll save a decent chunk of change there. A friend of mine owns a print shop, so we'll give her some business, but we haven't quite decided what the invites will look like yet🙂 You've got a point, and honestly, I used to think... about how the thank-you notes and invites just sit around, but now I'm thinking about putting them all in one big memory album instead of leaving them scattered about. What do you think about Mickey doing the thank-you notes? If you mean printing photos, then yeah, definitely.

Sandra Hernandez9 said:That’s just the venue fee—it can hold about 350 people, maybe even 400 if you open up the extra section to expand the space. As for my plans? I'm looking at a crowd of roughly 200.

We definitely overspent on the venue, but honestly, what can you do when you fall in love at first sight? I figured I'd just balance things out by being really careful with the budget for the flowers, invitations, and thank-you notes, plus my mom is taking over the dessert situation, so hopefully, everything levels out in the end.

We’re footing the bill for $10,000—that includes all the staff, plus our own food and drinks. Sure, the ship is docked in a smaller city, but even so 🤷

Wait, how many people were we talking about again?

Man, Farrah is absolutely stunning! I actually had a smaller size when I tried some stuff on back when I was a Democrat, but they kept dressing me in things way too big, so nothing would even fit over my shoulders properly. Her photos are gorgeous, for sure, but I'm curious—how did you guys find the sizing?

feralgull17 said:So, I’m living right around the SB area and my wedding is set for September 11th, 2010.
If anyone actually wants to know the scoop on any of this stuff, just hit me up... I don't mind.
The venue was Matičević
the band was the Midwest band
the photographer was Ivan Mijic
got my dad and brother's suits in Slough
the dress came from the Lisa salon
hair, makeup, and tanning were all done at the Valentina style studio
and nails by Kristina (Meadow)

Anyway, there it is. Happy to help if anyone's stuck...😉

So, what kind of dress did you go with? If you don't mind me asking, Maggie Sottero has such incredible designs!
Also, definitely let me know how the photographer turns out, since we actually put down a deposit for him for May 2011.
🤣
