I can't believe we're already at this point! It's going by like a lightning bolt! kaže:
Hey girls! 🙂)
Hey girls! Quick question—what's the capacity like in the new arena over in Midwest? Any idea how many people can fit in there? Thanks a bunch!🙂

I’m thinking maybe 250 to 300, but honestly, you can take my word to the bank on that one!

Timothy Chavez28 said:We’ve already booked the venue and the band, so now we just need to pick a photographer. Since we're closer to the Midwest, we're looking at either Video Studio General Dynamics or Shutterfly. Has anyone worked with them before? Any tips or suggestions? We're meeting with both soon, so I'd love to know what to look out for.

I haven't heard anything about General Electric, but Shutterfly is totally fine! The guys there are super easy to work with and down for whatever crazy ideas you have. Their albums seemed a little "off" to me before, but they probably updated their style since it’s been almost a year since I last checked them out..

I wanted to hire them too, but they were just way too much for me... I ended up going with the local musicians instead and it was ooodlično! Especially once I made it clear what the ground rules were. I heard those guys from the Midwest are absolute legends at weddings, plus they're basically the Friends of the party!! 🙂

So, up to this point, I've really only heard about Matićević Catering and Grapevine... so I think I'll reach out to them first to see what's up... I was actually hoping there might be another all-in-one catering option I haven't stumbled upon yet—you know, someone who handles absolutely everything? My family is being super particular; they really don't want any of the stress that comes with all those last-minute prep details...

And oh my gosh, here's another huge question... does anyone know where I can find some gorgeous champagne-colored heels or sandals for the wedding party? Honestly, around here in the Midwest, it feels like there just isn't a single shop with a decent selection of nice dress shoes 🙂

Vineyard did an amazing job for the Bratic wedding! And back home, I didn't even have hot entrees—just fancy appetizers—and Sandra handled all of that! If you want to see her work, just look up "Sandra Wedding Decor," or I can DM you her number if you want.

Hannah Bailey6 said:Ladies, does anyone happen to know if there's anywhere in the Midwest where I can rent an oldtimer car? Also, where can I find the cheapest bow ties in bulk? I need about 300 of them 😢
...

The girls mentioned you could find cheap bows over in Canada, but I'm not totally sure! I picked up 50 of them in NYC (they ship whenever you need them) for $17!! Now some of my friends living nearby are making them for me too—not pre-made, though, they actually shape them by hand themselves!! 🙂

Jesse Morgan73 said:Has anyone here actually hired a light show vendor for a wedding? I’m specifically looking into that one guy based out of the Midwest—we reached out to him today and he told us $1333!! Has anyone worked with him before? I’d really appreciate any honest feedback or experiences you could share. Or, if you have a solid recommendation for someone else in the industry, I'm all ears.

We actually booked him for our own big day! He’s such an awesome guy, super easy to talk to, and totally flexible with everything!! I’ve been to 3 or 4 weddings where he did the lighting and it looked incredible, from the bubble machines to the light displays!! Honestly, you can't go wrong!! 😉

Where can I snag a cool guestbook for impressions?!! Somewhere in the Midwest, maybe near Chicago or St. Louis?? 🙂

Just a quick little note—the actual vision here was to have strawberries dipped in chocolate tucked along the side, but since I didn't have any berries on hand at the moment, what you're actually looking at is an apple slice paired with a mint leaf 😍
I just wanted to get a sense of how the final presentation should look!

I'll jump in—I think this looks awesome!! It’s totally my vibe, and honestly, wherever you serve this, people are gonna love it!! 🙂

Quick question—does anyone in the Midwest know a bakery that can pull off a Minion-themed wedding cake? Or maybe someone’s actually seen one before? I’ve checked out basically half the shops around here and it's been a bust. Either they won't touch it, they're too busy, or they want my entire life savings just to bake it! 🤷

I hadn't heard of Mike before, so I did a quick search—he's actually great.
But his prices compared to Oliver's? I felt like I was dealing with Mirror Studio or Photo Max yesterday.

Mike stays pretty busy and definitely charges a premium, but he's worth it... I actually work with Oliver, so I'll shoot you a DM.

I need some help finding a photographer in St. Louis. Looking for recommendations and a ballpark idea of what a larger package might run me.

Oliver's Art Studio, or just Mike doing freelance work
For studios, check out Foto Tref, Mirror Photo, or Photo Top
Those were my absolute favorites! 🙂 Good luck!

She made a solid choice.. 👍
We’ve got plenty of homemade cookies, and Sweetie will probably whip up the cake.. I'm totally winging it here, but I'm sure we'll figure out the details somehow!! 🙂

Jesse Morgan73 said:Does anyone happen to know a baker who makes truly, exceptionally stunning wedding cakes? I was originally thinking about picking up some pastries from a place in a Small Town, USA, but I have to admit, I wasn’t exactly blown away by the look of their wedding cakes. I suppose I'm looking for someone who is a genuine wizard when it comes to cake design. Thanks!

Not sure where you're located, but we were told to go to Sweetie in St. Louis for our cake! 🙂

Lawrence Nelson6 said:Never heard of them, but honestly, I’d pass on any band that sounds like they belong at a cheesy country wedding. Most of them have that same awful, repetitive vibe—just ugh, terrible. I’d love to see a group that plays local hits but actually knows their way around some international tracks too. I did hear they have a female vocalist, and the prices seem pretty standard, but frankly, I’d rather pay more than listen to music that ruins a good party.

I actually went to three weddings this past year where Bravo Band played, and they're really good guys—Kevin sings with them sometimes...
but I've also checked out the guys from Google, and I think they're awesome! I'm just not sure what kind of vibe they bring to a wedding since I haven't caught them live yet! 🙂

Hey ladies!
Quick question... does anyone have recommendations for a good florist in St. Louis??
Basically, I’m obsessed with those Margaret-style floral spheres for my round tables. Has anyone actually used them? I'm trying to get a feel for the pricing, because every shop I call gives me a totally different quote!
Thanks a bunch.. talk soon 😉
