Hey there, sweetie🙂
We had about 90 people in our group, and honestly, the venue has plenty of room—the space was more than big enough for everyone to spread out comfortably... plus, since it was the middle of summer, we actually got to spend some lovely time hanging out by the pool... I was just so incredibly happy with what we got for the price
in terms of quality, too; it was only about $45 per person, and everything was included except for dessert... I didn't have to stress about a single thing because the owner stayed in the room with us the entire evening, personally making sure everything was running smoothly, so you know it's all under control. Anyway, I really hope this helps you make your decision.
I think they mentioned they can accommodate over 140 people, but if you ask me, keeping it around 100 is probably the sweet spot so everyone has breathing room and you don't end up with tables all crammed together and stuff.🙂
Best,

So, I thought I’d hop on here and share a little review of my recent wedding 🙂))) I actually picked the venue because the reviews were nothing but glowing, and honestly, they weren't lying. The catering at Chuy's was absolutely spot on—everything was delicious, the service was incredibly quick, and everything just flowed perfectly. The servers were so attentive, too, constantly checking in to make sure our glasses were full and we had everything we needed right away. The atmosphere was just stunning, being right there by the ocean, and even though we couldn't do the cocktail hour on the beach because of some sudden moody weather, it was still a perfect five stars!!!!! The music really set the mood for the whole night, and I am just dying to see the photos, even though it’ll be another month and a half before they’re ready 😢

Hey everyone!

Look, nothing actually happened to her—people just weren't feeling it. She was rushing through the prep, didn't taste anything, followed ten different people's recommendations, and ended up disappointed anyway. It wasn't a total disaster, but it was a waste of time.

You aren't even suggesting she'd distribute local stuff—(that didn't cross my mind at all)—just how to get them to the venue, or are you thinking about distributing them later?

Personally, I think I'll hand them out right at the end of the wedding reception. I know I'll probably stress myself out a little bit at home a day or two before while I'm busy packing everything up, but it honestly feels much more practical to me if there's already a cute little box of sweets waiting to go... and someone can just drop them off at the hall the night before....

I’m hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction here, because I posted over on the wedding planning thread about having a ceremony down in Florida, but I didn't get much of a response, so I thought I'd try my luck over here instead... does anyone have any stellar recommendations for wedding cakes or dessert catering in the Tampa Bay area or somewhere nearby?
thx

They really are the best—and definitely the most expensive—of anything I've come across. 😢
I'm in the same boat, looking for advice on finding that sweet spot between quality and cost. Just please, whatever you do, don't suggest Verizon. If I end up using them, I'll probably never have to deal with anyone else again—unless my friend was just having a run of bad luck.

Wait, what on earth just happened here? I feel like I have enough of the store-bought stuff to handle the salads, but I'm really crossing my fingers that I'll have plenty of homemade supplies left over for the dressing...
What's the price for the Cream?

The girls who were in the hall and had to provide store-bought cookies—does anyone have any suggestions on where you picked yours up? Honestly, my dream scenario would be if they actually deliver straight to the room and already have everything
nicely packaged for the tables... I’m really trying to avoid having one more thing on my plate to worry about, so if you could help a girl out, please!🙂
I am just so incredibly happy because I finally made a decision about the flowers, and since my girlfriend works from home, everything is going to be delivered right to my door for about $800-- $333depending on how much the calla lilies end up costing once they're actually in season 🙂)))
Honestly, some of the local florists have really bumped up their prices lately, but I totally get where they're coming from, seeing as they're running small family businesses...
I am just so incredibly happy because I finally sorted out all the flowers, and since my girlfriend is working from home right now, everything is actually coming my way for about $800$33 depending on how much they charge for calla lilies during the peak season🙂)))

I spent most of my day wandering through all those local flower farms out near San Francisco, just soaking in the scenery, and I can't help but wonder if I picked up enough $500 to pull off a full bouquet, a centerpiece for the table, and some decorations for the car? Also, does anyone happen to know where that girl is hanging out with Victoria?

Harold Bailey3, honestly, anything feels possible at this point... I managed to pull everything together in just one week—found the venue, the photographer, and even sorted out all the music for the next six months, plus a head start on month seven!
Best of luck to you🙂))))
Right now, I’ve got the 100's Trio playing in my head, they are such a great group! I actually served as the maid of honor at a wedding where they performed, and they’re super flexible—they can play as a duo or a full trio depending on what you’re looking for and how you want to set things up.
They cover just about every genre under the sun, though they steer clear of that heavy country stuff, which honestly works perfectly for me... I actually reached out to Sunny Day because I used to hear them playing at local spots all the time,
but it turns out they were already booked up... As far as other bands go, if you're looking for something really high-energy, Bravo Band and Taxi are absolutely incredible... anyway, I truly hope this helps you out a little bit!

Christian Wilson81, this one is actually meant for you, I quoted the wrong person🙂))))
Sorry girls, I'm still pretty new here and clearly haven't quite figured out how to navigate everything yet... 😢

boldbadger19 said:Of course it isn't weird! Honestly—I'd say that's probably the most important detail to nail down early on...
When I was checking around, I always asked: "Are you available on this date—and what are your rates?"
I'm not sure about their specific pricing, but most wedding bands go for roughly $2,000
Give them a ring and follow up again 😉

Don't even sweat it, you'll find someone perfect... I mean, we actually managed to pull our entire wedding together in just a single week!
In seven days flat, we somehow tracked down a venue, a band, and a photographer... though for us, it ended up being a jazz trio playing instead of a full band.
And honestly, she's right—it's pretty hard to find a decent band for less than $1,500 these days... but good luck, you've got this, no worries!!!🙂🙂

David King72 said:It really all depends on the kind of bouquet you're dreaming of, but I'd say you can probably find something basic for about $150, and then it goes from there. Personally, the flower prices at the expo totally caught me off guard—every single vendor gave me the same old line about how it "depends on the season" or "this specific bloom is hard to get," which wasn't exactly impressive

You've got a point there, but that was exactly why it felt so frustrating, since every single person there seemed to have their own unique theory about which flowers were in season and whatnot...
So, I think I'll just head over to one of those florists whose work I've actually seen in person, specifically someone who does both bouquets and full event decor...

So, I just got back from the bridal expo, and honestly, I spent most of my time wandering around checking out all the little extras because I’ve actually already checked the venue, the photographer, and the DJ off my list... I was mostly interested in
jewelry, specifically, so I picked up a few discount vouchers to go hit up some local boutiques downtown. As for the flowers, I haven't really figured out what a decent wedding bouquet should cost around $167... what do you guys think? To me, it feels a bit like
they're overcharging just because they slap the word "wedding" on everything—if it were just a regular bouquet, it would probably be way more affordable, right? But overall, it was a decent experience. Just a heads-up if anyone else is just starting their planning process: watch out for those vendors who make big promises but don't really deliver on the details
Everything you need for a California wedding in Weddings ·
I honestly feel like it all boils down to how many guests you’re actually planning on inviting to the wedding... if you're looking at a guest list north of 130 people, then those classic, quintessential banquet halls really start to become a factor, and you truly need to get them booked out at least a year
ahead of time. But if you’re thinking more along the lines of 100 guests—which is where I'm sitting right now—you can definitely afford to wait a little longer... personally, I just finished putting down deposits for everything about seven months ago for later this year.🙂

Olivia Sullivan14 said:I can personally vouch for this florist serving the San Francisco area; the woman behind the business does a phenomenal job, and her prices are incredibly reasonable. It is truly worth your while.😉

Please do recommend them, maybe shoot me a private message with the details, and if you happen to have a photo of one of their bouquets handy... I'd love to see it!

but regarding the photography, did you happen to check out Studio In

I ended up going with a photographer from the suburbs, Drazen (the Zumba guy), rather than Studio In, mostly because they were asking for an extra $333, and I really needed the whole recording session to fit within a single hour...

I did the exact same thing and just scoured the internet said:

So, I finally made a call on the band! If I were picking based purely on taste, I'd have gone with either Bravo Band or Taxi Band since I've listened to them so much over the years, but one was way too pricey and the other was unavailable. Instead, I'm going with 100's, who played for me before. The guys are great, and they play a nice mix of pop-rock, some California classics, and popular hits.
I was actually hoping to book Papaj, but Nikola is busy that day, so I guess I'll have to keep hunting for more options.

I’ve honestly only heard wonderful things about Friends, so I’m really crossing my fingers that everything turns out perfect! I’ll reach out with a full report once the reception is over!
How many people actually showed up for your friends' wedding, and did you feel like there was enough floor space for everyone to dance? [/
There were about 100 folks there, and my maid of honor was right by my side through it all, so I can highly recommend the place—just make sure you request plenty of room for dancing... anyway, I am eagerly waiting to hear how yours goes!🙂)))))
Hey, tell me, fadedpuma21, who did you end up hiring for photography? I’m still on the hunt, and while everyone keeps pointing me toward Papaya, I’ve been looking into Mirjana’s Studio Inc... has anyone heard anything about them? What are the reviews like?
