I can honestly give Kašnar my highest recommendation—we actually used them for a dessert spread at our event at Central Park back in November. We opted for the dessert station, which ended up being about $3 per person, and it was incredibly comprehensive: creamy pastries, those little individual mousse cups, an abundance of fresh fruit, and even a chocolate fountain. The presentation was absolutely stunning, and we received non-stop compliments from our guests; there wasn't a single morsel left on the table—everything was completely devoured. 🙂 From what I recall, the pricing for these types of dessert stations generally ranges anywhere from $2 to $4 per head.

To be honest, we were a bit apprehensive about the chocolate fountain—given that we had quite a few energetic kids running around, we were worried about a chocolate disaster—but everything went flawlessly. There wasn't a single smudge or mess where it shouldn't have been. Given how much our wedding guests raved about the sweets, I would certainly recommend them without hesitation. 👍

Melissa Chase6 said:Who do you think takes the win: Kasnar or Andric? Also, quick practical question—how many pounds of cake should I grab if I'm feeding a crowd of 200?

I can't really weigh in on Andric since I haven't had his work myself, but I can give you a sincere recommendation for Kasnar—we actually used them for our wedding. We received an incredible amount of compliments on the desserts, especially since we opted for a dessert table that absolutely blew everyone away! There wasn't a single crumb left over from the sweets, so I definitely recommend both—Kasnar's treats and the dessert table setup!

I’ve noticed there’s been a lot of chatter lately regarding dessert tables... For us, finding the right treats was an absolute ordeal—we have a massive sweet tooth, and frankly, we’re pretty spoiled when it comes to homemade desserts, so it was rare to find anything that actually met our standards. 😁

In the end, we decided to go with a dedicated dessert station rather than just scattering various pastries across different tables, and I would wholeheartedly recommend that approach—mostly because people ended up eating almost everything in sight.

We went with pastries from Kašnar, and I can't recommend them enough; they truly knocked it out of the park. We opted for a package that came out to about $3 per person, and honestly, the quality we got for that price was incredible—guests were practically swarming the dessert table while it was still being set up, so we actually had to "defend" it just so we could officially "open" it as the newlyweds and get some photos taken first...

The presentation was gorgeous, and the decorations were stunning, but more importantly, it was obvious our guests loved the flavors because everything was completely wiped out... 😁

The wedding cake was also delicious and looked exactly how we had envisioned it during the planning process—all in all, a huge thumbs up for Kašnar and the whole dessert table concept. 👍

Oh—and just so I'm not just blowing smoke—as soon as we get some good shots back, I'll post them here so you can see for yourselves. 😉

We changed our minds. 🙂 My brother, my sister, my fiancé's entire family—basically half my relatives have had the stuff from B. greda, and we are obsessed!!! Highly recommend. Right now they're going for $22 /lb

Thanks so much! 🙂

To be honest, it feels like every cookie I've tried so far tastes more or less the same—but since everyone seems to be raving about these, I figured I’d check it out...

Anyway, I'm going to give 😁
a call.

Hey ladies! 👋

I'm not actually from the Midwest, but I wanted to reach out and see if anyone here happens to order or has any intel regarding those homemade pastries from Small Town, USA?

I've heard such incredible things about them—apparently, they have that perfect, authentic homemade flavor—so if anyone knows what the price per pound is, or how much they charge for a slice of cake, I would be incredibly grateful for the info. 🙂>

Our pastry chef actually suggested using whipped cream, too—but since I've realized that Ticinno is a bit pricier 😁

I’ve been scratching my head over the math for these cookies as well 😁

My first dilemma was figuring out how much to actually order per guest—the vendors at the local trade show suggested about 8 or 9 ounces per person, which honestly feels like a massive overkill to me; I mean, people don't usually go through that many sweets at weddings... 🤷 I’m thinking 5 ounces per person should be plenty—for a guest list of roughly 150, that would come out to about 55 pounds, which seems like a perfectly reasonable amount to me

Roger Peterson77 said:Can someone please tell me if I’m losing my mind here? Is it actually normal that the hotel where we're hosting our banquet is trying to charge us extra for a slice of cake $5.75, when they sell the exact same thing in their cafe for just $4.25?!

Just to be clear, they aren't even doing any fancy decorating. It's not like they're adding anything special—they’d basically just smear some frosting on it and stick a few fresh flowers on top. They don't even have a cake stand! I actually have to rent one from an outside vendor.

I was already mentally gearing up for a massive showdown with them, but my fiancé is just laughing his head off, telling me I'm totally overreacting. Honestly, it’s not even about the extra couple of bucks; it’s just the principle of the thing!

That sounds incredibly rude to me too! If I were you, I’d definitely be ready for a fight! 🙂

We’ll most likely end up ordering from Absum—I actually gave them a call to check, and the price per pound for wedding cookies is currently $22. They still seem to be one of the most affordable options around, and if the quality hasn't dipped since the last time I tried them two years ago, we aren't going to give it a second thought.

I am aware they charge extra for certain services, such as the setup and everything else...
