Sophia Thomas7 was asking where the line is drawn. It’s right here. 🙂
And honestly, it’s a shame we don't pay more attention to what this user actually puts out there.
It makes sense that the chat gets shut down after one person snaps like that; management assumes the whole conversation is veering off course. Ideally, people like this should be dealt with immediately. This individual is a total Jackal who refuses to back down, and they even operated under a different handle when their main account was suspended—completely flying under the radar despite multiple reports. Because of people like this, an innocent bystander ended up getting penalized while the actual provocateur didn't face a single consequence.

I completely agree with that.👍 If L3go hadn't been generous enough to grant us the chat, we wouldn't have anything at all. And yet, apparently, that still isn't enough—now they're demanding another dedicated chat just for the "chosen ones."🕺
P.S. As far as I'm concerned, I'd leave it to them. I actually find it quite refreshing when the traffic dies down; things always feel a bit higher quality when it's less crowded.🙂
Why not just open another chat over in the off-topic section? What's the big deal? Well, the off-topic section is their territory, but they have every right to wander into ours and stir the pot, don't they? Or is that not allowed?🙂
Kate Walker54 said:I only report posts that actually concern me. As for the rest of the nonsense you all keep posting, frankly, I couldn't care less. 😉
It’s funny how that works, isn't it? Nothing seems to matter to anyone else, yet somehow, everything finds its way back to you eventually. It always does. ☕
If you actually take the time to comb through my entire post history across all these different threads, we can finally settle this once and for all. We’ll see exactly who’s been throwing the punches and who’s just sitting there taking them.
To be perfectly honest, this hits home for me, considering how much time I spend hanging around this chat as an active member. 🙂 And you’re really just an active stalker looking for a reaction. 🙂

It’s a shame that all those posts and chat logs were wiped out, along with that massive pile of her insults and personal attacks. It's particularly grating because she hardly ever actually participates in the chat—unless, of course, she’s popping in just to insult someone or to play the martyr by notifying us that she's reported our mutual bickering.
A quick round of applause for Kate Walker54 and all the hard work she’s put in. Her contributions haven't gone unnoticed.. 👏
Exactly. She spent countless times acting out and causing chaos without a second thought, and now suddenly she’s looking for justice? Give me a break. It's laughable. 🙂
Kate Walker54, this really has nothing to do with you. You show up to all sorts of different threads just to stir the pot and provoke people, all while acting like some kind of saint over on the offtopic boards. So, do us all a favor and pipe down. 🙂
Matthew Anderson said:Man, we’re talking about a forum where you can say whatever you want to whoever you want, yet here you are playing dumb and crying about censorship? 🤦
Why exactly do I need to be briefed on the specifics? The OP is asking to open a new Democratic Party thread so anyone can jump in. I’m generally on board with that idea; I’m just offering some perspective based on my experience with similar threads in the past.
And that bit about the trolls wasn't a jab at you—I was just pointing out that people often bypass these kinds of threads entirely because they don't care about the actual debate; they'd rather head over to their usual haunts to go trolling.
Well, maybe it's because you realize only a handful of us actually drive the conversation. New people show up, sure, but never in any significant numbers. The core group already knows each other well enough to know that throwing around words like "idiot" or "moron" every now and then is part of the deal. Look, we're crude; we can't really fight our own nature.☕ That's probably why we're stuck at the bottom of the food chain 😬 and why we aren't causing much trouble elsewhere.
Matthew Anderson said:Look, Rich, there’s this whole conversation going on about how this forum is supposed to be a free space—a place where you can say whatever you want to whoever you want. So why are you acting like you're some kind of moral arbiter, playing dumb and hunting for things to censor? 🤦
No, but I can't help but notice you've somehow established yourself as some kind of authority figure around here. Honestly, I'm not sure how that happened, but it really isn't a good look. It wouldn't be right for others to fall under the influence of your perspective, especially when it’s clearly built on a fundamental misunderstanding of the actual issues at hand.🤦 That’s exactly why I’m pushing for this. We need clarity from Blood Dim and Nica above all else. If they can't provide a straight answer, then we might as well just bring Lego into the conversation to settle things. 😍

I don't suppose I deserved the warning, but fine, whatever. 🙂
Matthew Anderson said:These guidelines feel incredibly vague to me. It feels like these rules are just being masqueraded as "common sense."
The moment someone posts asking for "like-minded individuals only" to chime in, I’m staying silent. Oh wait, actually, I won't—because it’s necessary to have both sides of an argument represented, even if it's unpopular.
Beyond that, I’m fundamentally in favor of being able to call out stupidity when I see it. On one of the old message boards I used to frequent, we had this dedicated "Arena" section. We didn't track post counts there, but instead, any thread that drifted into off-topic nonsense or personal insults was moved to its own separate sub-forum where people could vent freely. The issue with a policy like that, though, is that people eventually just stop checking the official guidelines altogether and head straight to those side threads. They aren't interested in a civil debate; they just want a place to type whatever is on their mind without the heavy moderation.
If you're trolling, you aren't exactly looking for a sub-forum where trolling is encouraged; doing that would defeat the whole purpose, wouldn't it? That's my two cents, or rather, my $0.20 .
Alright, since you’ve decided to take the high road and all that... how much do you actually know about the mess we're dealing with here and the general state of things hitting rock bottom? Given that I've been blacklisted for what some call "quasi-trolling"—which is often just my blunt honesty being mistaken for something else—it doesn't really matter. I mostly stick to the random and off-topic sections anyway, because everywhere else I try to participate, I get hassled by the mods regardless of what I write. I'm basically under constant surveillance here.
nica, why on earth do moderators who have zero connection to this subject and clearly aren't briefed on the specifics feel entitled to stick their noses in? If Phiber is supposed to be some kind of ultimate authority here, I’d appreciate it if you could actually clarify that for us.
Look, Sophia Thomas7, why does it even matter to you? You should probably just focus on running things where you’re in charge; from what I can tell, you've got plenty to keep you busy enough as it is.🙂
I’m standing with Adam Richardson3 on this one. If I may add, shutting down the thread preemptively felt a bit excessive. There wasn't actually any real fighting going on, aside from Joe, who just started hurling insults and being disrespectful out of nowhere. It wasn't even part of a heated debate; he was clearly just looking for a fight. A warning or a temporary ban would have been much more appropriate than just killing the whole conversation. ☕
I’d appreciate it if Jim could weigh in on this matter.
I'm heading out. Look, I honestly have nothing against the LGBTQ+ community, but I draw the line at this level of blatant hatred some individuals show toward women.👋
Johnny, you didn't send me that photo under the pretense of being unphotogenic. I'm not exactly a model myself—I've even admitted that publicly more than a few times ☕ which basically means your self-confidence is non-existent 🙂
Adam Richardson3 said:Honey, ugly guys just don't realize how they look, which is why they think they have a shot with you.👋
That doesn't happen often, but even for me, it feels pretty degrading. Honestly, I’d rather just ask him why he doesn't have a mirror at home.😳 I know it's a bit superficial, but first impressions are everything.🐔
Johnny, you seem to be getting worked up over nothing. First it was that little kid, and now we're arguing about aesthetics... just take a breath and relax 🙂
