Fascism isn't dead, but it’s never going to recapture that massive momentum it had back in the early 1930s. The people and groups calling themselves fascists today are basically just background noise on the global stage.
Besides, the Nazis only seized power in Germany because they were drowning in a massive economic depression, and the whole country was completely humiliated by the terms of the Treaty of Versailles. It’s obvious the Germans were just desperate for anyone who could pull them out of that mess. If you set aside the racist laws, Hitler actually played the economic side of things well—until he completely blew everything by starting the war.
Let's be real: the Ustas would never have gained a foothold in America, let alone found any real traction, if Hitler hadn't decided to turn the country into a puppet state, and if Maček hadn't refused to play the collaborator role.
