Just stumbled onto this interesting article about someone getting banned from a hotel (details are in the link).
I always figured in the States, closing deals over lunch or dinner is pretty standard practice, so this whole situation caught me off guard. What’s the issue for the hotel? If their guests are business professionals, why can't they cut deals on-site? Is there some unwritten rule or specific policy that governs this kind of thing?

Full story is here:
I need at least 9 hours to fully recharge my batteries. Honestly though, it’s less about the total sleep and more about my rhythm—when I actually hit the sack and when I get up. If I crash at 2 AM and roll out at 9 AM, that’s only 7 hours, but I feel totally fine. But if I go to bed at 11 PM and wake up at 7 AM? Even though that’s technically 8 hours, I’m basically a zombie all day.
The longest I’ve ever gone without sleep is 40 hours, and even then, I was barely hanging on.
Nothing beats that feeling when you wake up, realize it’s 8 AM on a Sunday, and decide to just lounge around until 11. Man... that’s the life.
