New York City - LA Galaxy over 2.5 goals 2.05 HL (4:0)
I love betting on goals in Major League Soccer; it rarely lets me down. In previous seasons, this would’ve been a massive derby, but both these clubs have had pretty shaky starts to the season, only showing some signs of life in the final few matches. New York City has picked up their last three home games, and the visitors are riding two straight wins. New York City rarely keeps a clean sheet, so I'm counting on them to concede again here.
Borussia Dortmund vs Stuttgart Both teams to score & Over 2.5 goals (2.35 at HL) (6:1)
We’re looking at two offensive machines here. From what I’ve gathered, Stuttgart hasn't missed a beat lately—they've found the back of the net in every single one of their last six matches. When you have teams playing this aggressively, you can pretty much bank on a high-scoring affair.
Just to be clear, I’m also feeling that itch to place a bet on our guys given these odds. Honestly, if anyone else was calling the shots instead of Štimac, I probably would’ve pulled the trigger already. But right now? I think I’ll pass on the temptation, even if my fingers are practically twitching to do it. 😁
The Dutch have been the most clinical squad in these qualifiers so far. They’ve already punched their ticket, so they can afford to play loose and just enjoy themselves. On the flip side, Turkey is backed into a corner; they absolutely need the win to stay neck-and-neck with Romania, assuming the Romanians take care of business against the Estonians. Because of that, I'm expecting an all-out brawl—no tactical stalling, just pure, unadulterated attacking football and plenty of goals.
Look, even if we think we know how the group standings will shake out, this matchup actually carries some weight. If Belgium pulls off a win or even just grabs a draw, they basically lock up first place. For the USA, a victory keeps the math alive, though honestly, a draw wouldn't be the worst thing to avoid finishing as the worst runner-up—even if that’s a long shot. Plus, for Belgium, there's a certain level of pride involved in trying to finish the group stage undefeated.
Even with a few guys missing from their lineup, Belgium still looks like the more polished side on paper. But since the USA is playing this at home, I’m calling it now: a draw is the most likely outcome.
The standings in the MLS look pretty bizarre compared to last year—it’s almost like seeing Inter Miami sitting in eighth while LAFC is down in tenth 😁 Tucked right between those two is Odense. Unlike the heavy hitters like LA Galaxy or Atlanta United, they haven't exactly been a powerhouse over the last few seasons. Now, they're staring down the current league leaders, a squad sitting five points ahead of second place with a game in hand. Looking at recent form, both sides have been finding the back of the net consistently, especially Odense at home and Midtjylland on the road. The odds at FanDuel and DraftKings are sitting at 2.00.

First off, the bookies are sleeping on Milan here. Offering 7.50 for Milan at home against anyone is just ridiculous. We all saw it last year—they held their own against Barcelona in a 0-0 grind. They aren't easy to break down.
They split it 2-2 in Barcelona, then Barcelona took it 3-2 in Milan. Even if Milan isn't quite the powerhouse they were last season, I still think they can find the back of the net. It’s a real shame Mario Balotelli is sidelined for this one.

Maybe our guys just don't see them as such a massive threat. 😁

Walking hand-in-hand with Pak, assuming the French let the Germans win just so they could target Americans and Dance... pure genius. We’re a nation obsessed with conspiracy theories—honestly, it’s no surprise when people are basically drugged up by watching nothing but FOX and RTL all day.
I'd rather they target Americans and Dance than the home team, anyway. And look, "tanking" doesn't mean throwing the game on purpose; it just means playing at half-capacity.
I wouldn't be shocked if LA Galaxy walks away with a draw. Honestly, I don't think Porto is nearly as dangerous without Hulk in the lineup. My money is on an under—probably fewer than three goals total, since both sides look like they’ll play it safe. Plus, let's not forget how LA Galaxy played their absolute hearts out in that first game against Real Madrid last year (they were a bit more relaxed back then, sure, but still...)

Red Star Belgrade is in absolute shambles. Their coach left back in December, they got hammered 6-0 by an oil company team two weeks ago, and they couldn't even find the net in two matches against Omonia—barely scraped a win on penalties... They even managed to draw at home against some amateur squad I've never even heard of...
You're hearing about them for the first time? That club used to be a powerhouse in the old league structure.😕
William Price66 said:My bad if anyone was rooting for Team USA. They had every single advantage on paper, but they couldn't get anything done. They kept trying to run everything right through the middle of the field while the other side just sat back in a classic defensive shell. If that’s how they plan to play during the World Cup, they might as well stay home. Sorry about that.
Even the teams in that so-called "group of death" didn't exactly light up the scoreboard... Everyone is playing it way too safe in these exhibition matches. There's too much tactical math going on, so there's really no point in reading too much into the results. 🤷

Fast forward one Month day later, and suddenly Balotelli is the villain because his red card at Arsenal FC cost the City eight crucial points.
😂
Personally, I’d give the edge to United. They suit this kind of game perfectly; they'll sit back, play on the counter, and likely nick at least one goal. A draw is a solid shout, though I've learned the hard way that even when I'm most confident in a result, it can still blow up in my face—sometimes ending in a boring 0 : 0.
