If you’re talking about being in shape, I bet you spent years grinding away at track and field, so your legs are probably already in killer condition

Intelligence is more like the raw horsepower—your ability to grab that info and actually do something useful with it.
I'm with them on this one.
If you aren't physically primed for it, any kind of plyometrics is just a fast track to destroying your knees...
I've spent my entire life doing track and field, martial arts, and parkour, and if you want my honest opinion, parkour ISN'T a sport.
It’s an athletic discipline built on its own specific philosophy—one that doesn't involve jumping off a ten-story building or clearing a car just because some Hollywood movie made it look cool.
The whole point of parkour is to ensure you aren't limited by urban obstacles, finding the most efficient and fastest way to reach your destination.
That doesn't mean I'm going to leap over a car if it's easier to just go around it... but then again, why walk all the way around a fence when jumping it is clearly faster and simpler?
Also, flips and acrobatics? Those ARE NOT part of parkour. Read what I just wrote and you'll see why.
