Alright! Thanks for the heads-up! So, lesson learned—I'll be sticking to actual currency exchange offices from now on.🙂
Alright, I've got a quick question for you guys 🙂
So, I travel back and forth from Austria to the States a few times a year
I’ve got an account at my bank over there, so I’m using their debit card for everything.
Here’s the deal: what’s actually the smarter move? Should I just bring a stack of Euros and hit up a local currency exchange booth, or is it better to just stick to the ATM and withdraw cash directly?
I have no clue what kind of spreads these exchange places are pulling right now, but I know from experience that when I used the ATM—which is how I've always done it—I ended up getting hit with about a $2 fee for every $50 I pulled out.
Which way is going to save me more money? Basically, where am I getting ripped off less? 🤷
