And honestly, watching them die was just miserable...it was horrific. It was a life reduced to nothing more than fulfilling basic survival needs, and now what? Now there's just death, where nothing follows and nobody is waiting—just the physical body fading away...
It was terrifying. I don't even have the words to describe the haunting sight of an atheist confronting death when everything looks so utterly meaningless...
wtf. I mean, what else is there? How is someone supposed to die? Like, "Hip hip hooray, heaven awaits! Now someone get me five hits of morphine!" Come on.
