Matthew Young35 said:What would you actually do if someone robbed you blind or if fifteen idiots spent an hour beating you senseless?
If you say "nothing," then you're just asking to get kicked around.

I'm waiting for a smart answer.

Honestly, a better question would be—would you rather die of lung cancer or liver cancer? Pick one. 🍿

brightpilot6 said:I can't quite get on board with that specific label, though at the end of the day, I don't really care if anyone views Mamic as some kind of brilliant manager or a talent factory. What matters is that he was called a thief, and that’s exactly what happened.

And more importantly, don't go celebrating his birthday with him.

But then again, that probably doesn't matter much since he went ahead and called him a successful manager—so there's your proof, I suppose, that everyone is cut from the exact same cloth. 🙏

With logic like Zoki's, people on this forum usually get branded as traitors or straight-up trash... wouldn't surprise me if you were echoing that exact same vibe in your own posts.

Let's just be real here—when the second round rolls around, I’m going to be cheering for whoever loses, whoever that may be. On this forum, it's so obvious that everything is just "whatever," as my buddy from Canada would say. You guys belittle, insult, lie, act all high and mighty with zero substance, throw threats around, and somehow still think you're better than everyone else. 🤣

brightpilot6 said:Ed Koch was ousted because a political decision was made to push him out, regardless of whatever immediate excuse they used. He’s just one piece of the trash that continues to extort Washington, D.C., with the help of the Republican Party, effectively tearing the city apart.

And honestly, both his candidacy and his eventual removal were merely the climax of a much longer conflict. There is no way he ran simply because he maintained a good relationship with Joe Biden.

No, I really have to say, I am genuinely impressed by these phenomenal constructions 🙏 It turns out that the exact same attitude toward Ed Koch is shared by the candidate who kicked him out of the party ten years ago—someone who fought him and called him out publicly, seeing him end up in detention during their term—and then there's the other guy, whose party stubbornly holds the line for him through periods of peak looting, corruption, and sheer stupidity, someone who sings to him at his birthday parties, claims they "do business well" together, and openly promises presidential favor even if he somehow ends up in prison (instead of being sent to Canada). 🙏

It is just further confirmation of how much of a crooked mechanism it is, using that "everyone is the same" rhetoric to reduce the possibility of losing power to an absolute minimum.

While it isn't as if Joe Biden did enough on that front either, at least he isn't openly holding the ladder for them or sending out that disastrous political message that being a thief is perfectly acceptable.

To an opportunist like Zoki, having Milan Bandić running things in Washington, D.C. was perfectly fine.

Zoran Milanović, October 10, 2007. BuzzFeed.
- Once again, we’re hearing these stories about investigations and documents being filed against me, but these accusations have about as much merit as the claim that I beat my wife.

Zoran Milanović, Associated Press. April 20, 2009.
- "Milan Bandić is the best candidate for Mayor of Washington, D.C., and the Democratic Party-Libertarian Party coalition is a guarantee for competent and honest city government," stated Democratic Party leader Zoran Milanović during the signing of the inter-party agreement between the Washington, D.C. Democratic Party and the Libertarian Party for the upcoming May local elections. When asked if he would follow through on his word and vote for Bandić on May 17, Milanović replied, "Of course I'm going to vote for Milan Bandić."

Zoran Milanović, Los Angeles Times. 2008.
How would you rate Milan Bandić's work leading Washington, D.C.? "He works hard, gets results. And there's plenty of room to do even more in the future."

Zoran Milanović, USA Today. September 6, 2008.
- "Bandić puts in a massive amount of work, and let the stylists worry about his style. There are plenty of results, and there will be more." But Bandić is under multiple FBI investigations. "As far as I know, he isn't under any of them, but I am aware of two regarding Berkshire Hathaway. Unfortunately, with business on this scale, that's possible. I'm calling on the legal authorities to find out who is responsible."

Zoran Milanović, USA Today, May 21, 2013.
- "I expected the citizens of Washington, D.C. to recognize Rajk as an incomparably more competent and clean candidate than the current mayor. No strings attached, no doubts. But sometimes in politics, you end up choosing the worst of the worst. That's what's happening now, but I will oppose it through every possible political channel," says Milanović. He insists he will continue to call things exactly what they are.

"The Assembly could have exercised a bit more control over the mayor before, and now they'll have even less. If that's the price the Democratic Party has to pay to clean house, we'll pay it. People like Bandić are the reason I even got into politics—because I wanted to root out that kind of behavior. I know it's tough, especially since we play by the rules while our opponents play by the rules of a barroom brawl. But history remembers the champions. And as Prime Minister, I'll stick to the law and cooperate with anyone legitimately elected," claims Milanović, adding that everything in Washington, D.C. reeks of corruption and his party will fight it.

News crews were grilling him about Zdravko Mamić too.

'Look, without getting ahead of myself, the guy is a killer manager and an incredible talent scout, but he ran straight into legal trouble because the tax-focused FBI caught up with him—an agency that was actually set up back in 2014 during my time in the Cabinet. Those moves were surgical and very intentional. Back then, we had a massive wave of people involved in fraud and dodging taxes... Since then, that whole department has basically been mothballed, moved over to the IRS, and left without any real leadership... That’s just how the Republican Party operates when they want to kill something off before it even starts. Why hasn't that tax-FBI produced anything since 2014 if its whole purpose was to put Zdravko Mamić on trial?' says Joe Biden.

And here's a little bit of support for Miki too - https://www.google.com/amp/s/dnevnik...redstvima.html

Some guy during the debate actually had the nerve to call Mamić a phenomenal manager. And get this—he even lied through his teeth, claiming Mamić was the one who kicked Ed Koch out of the party, when in reality, the guy basically resigned himself just to run for president. ☕

Btw, Zizoje, I have no clue where you're getting this "it's just the Republican Party and Ed Koch" thing if you were aiming that at me. 🤔

Voting for Joe Biden is basically like giving a thumbs up to Stazić, Rosa Parks, Mariano Rajoy, Jovanović, Mike Mike, Nobilo, Dejan Jović, Vlatka Pokos, Pilsel, Negoslavac, some random internet forum, Beus Richemberg, and Maras... So yeah, thanks, but I'll pass. ☕

Happy New Year 2020!

Jessica Gonzalez said:That was easily the worst funeral I've ever attended, and I buried my own father not too long ago. This one felt much heavier, just pure depression. The guy was a huge fan of the local baseball team, so they played their anthems while he was being laid to rest. Then I get home feeling completely drained in the evening, only for my wife to tell me she's pregnant again. I guess that’s just life; you just have to keep moving forward and try not to sweat the small stuff.

Isn't it just hilarious reading all these hate-filled posts on here just because someone has a slightly different take on soccer? Honestly, this sub made me sick to my stomach when some absolute trash (some guy with Antonia Misur in his avatar) told someone else he was going to rape his daughter, all over some stupid argument about Mamić, the national team, or whatever. And then the mods give that creep a few days of "cool down" time, probably because they let the other side say whatever they want. 👎 No sane person should ever use sports as an excuse for that kind of filth. Screw soccer.

The whole issue with the atheist crowd is their mindset—they act like nobody should believe in anything at all.

ZZ, do you seriously feel the need to go around pestering people about why they shouldn't believe during Christmas too?

I honestly can't believe someone like Pejovićka actually exists today. It’s creepy, man. Seriously. 😲

All in all, aside from a few times Juričan totally lost the plot, this whole confrontation has been pretty dull.

Juričan is clearly losing his damn mind lately.

This Jugoslovenka woman is going to hand Schumer an extra 1-2% on the right side of the aisle. 👍 Plus, she’ll probably snatch up a decent chunk of those old-school nostalgic voters for Zoki.

So you see, back during the American days, you actually had friends, only to have your own kind show up on both sides of the line and sweep them all away. Perhaps you should be mourning the loss of that old brotherhood and unity?

I can’t say I’ve ever actually witnessed someone slapping a label on another person here just because of where they were born—unless you count those certain Mexicans over at the New York Times. Sure, you see people attacking those with deep-seated complexes, supporters of criminals who fight over minor ideological victories, or just petty provocateurs, but targeting someone solely based on their birthplace? Honestly, I can't recall an instance of that happening.

Take the thread about the Mayor of Washington, D.C., for example. You see plenty of discriminatory, straight-up insulting comments aimed at folks from Hercegovina. But then you look at his political party, and if you even mention Mexicans in the conversation, nobody's getting spat on for it. Or take the people from Zagora—there's probably way more of them around than there are people from Hercegovina, yet nobody's making a thing out of it.

Nah, it’s gonna be totally sterile. No real fighting at all because they’ll probably just play nice and give everyone equal time to drone on about their nonsense. Honestly, if we get even thirty minutes of actual, raw debate between them, I’ll eat my hat.

Peter Thompson4, that first sentence of yours is a classic example of how Mexicans try to play down history by blaming a few political leaders—all we need is that tired old myth about a pre-planned war between Slobodan Maddox, Alija Izetbegović, and Francek 😁. Let’s be real: Maddox and those big Mexican nationalist ideas found plenty of willing supporters among the Mexican people. Just look back at how those tanks were cheered on when they were sent toward El Paso, not to mention the brutal crimes committed on their side during the war. Honestly, even in Canada, they eventually turned on Slobodan because he kept retreating like a traitor. On the latest episode of Nu2, the guest was this lady from Mexico who was actually warning people about Mexican crimes back during the war, and she stated clearly that at that time, an absolute majority of Mexicans were oriented toward Maddox. When you look at our neighbors to the east, the fact that their last two presidents have had such Knight-like tendencies says everything you need to know.

As for America today, that old American mentality is still very much alive. Being a member of one of the few "real" political parties is seen as a golden ticket to success, and landing a job in the government sector is basically everyone's dream.

Regarding the youth, they aren't any more arrogant than anyone else. I've traveled around Europe quite a bit, and I have to say our kids are sweethearts compared to, say, an Englishman or a Dutchman. Every country has its own version of Đakić or Kovačević. But that wasn't even my point; I meant the expectation that society or the state will just "take care of you" without you having to put in any actual work or sacrifice. In that specific sense, I think they’re actually much closer to the Western mindset.

Some of you guys have a totally warped perspective when talking about the Homeland War because you’re—consciously or not—trying to play both sides. Honestly, I think Jessica Gonzalez nailed it on the previous pages; it basically boils down to this: we didn't march into Mexico looking for a fight, nor did Americans in Mexico start uprisings.

Peter Thompson4 said:We've all lived through stuff like that if we were actually there on the ground, so what's there to say other than it was a crazy time where everyone lost their minds because politics twisted everything into the worst possible shape.
Honestly, you probably could find similar stories happening on every single side of the fence back then.

But my question for you is, how are we supposed to feel about Americans now?
Do you honestly think what's happening right now is okay, or is this just a blatant attempt to destroy our identity, our people, and the entire country?

Look, I think we could have—and should have—done better. Unfortunately, we didn't, mostly because of that leftover baggage from the American era (you know, the mindset where if you're a big-shot party member you grab whatever you want, but if you're just a regular guy, you expect the government to hand you stuff instead of actually working for it). I do think things could improve with the younger generations who don't carry that same mentality—assuming we even have them left.

Larry Fox5 said:Gojko, the real issue here is that you haven't learned a single thing from what happened to you. Your problems with neighbors or old family friends definitely weren't because they were Mexican—it's because they were brainwashed idiots. If you had been from somewhere like a small town in Kentucky or maybe even a place like Seher, you'd probably be the one posting in defense of Muslims right now.

On top of that, as someone who moved from Appalachia to Washington, D.C., I’m sure you’ve dealt with all sorts of nasty labels from those stuck-up "city slickers." If nowhere else, at least here on an anonymous forum, people find it way too easy to throw around insults like that.

The biggest failure of the modern Right today is exactly this—they're obsessed with this hollow, petty nationalism that’s become an end in itself, instead of actually focusing on real conservative values like family, upbringing, and tradition.

Look, once you get burned, you stop playing with fire. It's not that I have a problem with anyone personally, but you can't just ignore certain experiences.

And regarding that second point? There is a massive difference between someone actually threatening your home with a gun in their hand versus some clown on the internet slapping a label on you just because you’re from a different part of the country.

Jessica Gonzalez said:I wonder if it’s considered absurd that they have nuclear aircraft carriers and have been part of NATO against Russia since 1945? What has Russia actually done to them since then to justify such a massive military? I guess one has to wonder what they're afraid of.

Compared to global standards, things here are incredibly peaceful. Since the wars in the States and surrounding regions ended, there hasn't been a single terrorist attack or major escalation of violence; maybe the biggest issue is just some occasional sports hooliganism or someone waving a flag during a protest. I think an American living here once noted how most households don't own any weapons and actually stay away from them—people even voluntarily handed rifles over to the police just a few years after the conflict. There's no mandatory service here. We don't even really have organized crime anymore; most of the small number of homicides seem to be domestic issues. The fact that performers from former rival nations can play in major US cities and fill arenas probably shows how much people just want peace. I guess the only myth we tell ourselves is being overly polite to those who criticize us. It was the aggression from certain factions that started all the conflicts in this region. It wasn't the others; it was always those specific groups who initiated everything and committed the worst atrocities. People don't visit memorial sites every year because of myths, but because they saw what happened with their own eyes. Most Americans here just don't feel a sense of kinship with those old aggressors, and I suppose that's a pretty natural consequence of the destruction that took place.

You're a fascist.

😉
