I was watching a match last weekend and honestly, even though my team ground out a 1-0 win, I felt kind of empty afterward. It wasn't "good" football. It was just survival.

It got me thinking about the obsession we have with the final result. We live in a world where the scoreboard is everything, and if you win, you're a hero. But is there a point where winning just becomes a mechanical exercise? I’ve always been a fan of the "beautiful game" philosophy—the idea that how you play is just as important as the points you collect.

I feel like lately, especially in top-tier competition, teams are increasingly opting for just getting the job done rather than actually putting on a show. It's efficient, sure, but it lacks soul. It feels like we're trading artistry for pure pragmatism.

Do you guys value a dominant, high-flying victory more than a gritty, ugly win that secures the title? Or is a trophy a trophy, regardless of how much it sucked to watch?
In short, it's just evil within the human body.
There's this movie featuring Robert Lowe and James Spader about some kind of "guy"
The military and political sectors are full of them. They are just prepared for things you can't even wrap your head around; I guess I just can't empathize with other people's suffering. For example, that guy who carved up his girlfriend and carried her in a suitcase.

Watch the movie "Fly Above the Coward's Nest." I guess if a person doesn't have issues with themselves and nobody else has issues with them, then who cares if they go to a psychiatrist or not.

Rebecca Scott3 said:Most psychiatrists and psychologists are recruited from people who already have issues in their own heads. They're often manipulators looking for literal power over another human being. I can't think of any other profession where you can legally ruin someone's life and then call it "helping" or "therapy." I feel for anyone who ends up in their hands.
Don't worry about me; I'm doing just fine. Actually, I'm doing a whole lot better than that psychiatrist who would love to have me under his thumb if he were actually smart enough to pull it off. You think I tell him about singing the songs of the Era from the great beyond? No way. I just tell him how I listen to classical music to relax and how I sing every day, and then everything is perfectly fine.
The difference is I can tell you guys what I actually do because none of you are going to lock me up or force-feed me pills. At the end of the day, what do you really know about my life? For all you know, maybe I spend my time picking grapes on a chimney. Or maybe you're actually my doctor, interrogating me online to check in on me, but you could never be sure who I am because I say something completely different when I'm sitting in the office. Go ahead, try to guess who I am. Maybe I stopped by to visit you yesterday and spent the whole time talking about chickens.
And now, I'll throw in a scary face just to give you a little fright.
🙂🙂😢🤔🙂🙂

Well, you seem like a positive person, though you are definitely unhinged... If everyone were examined, they would all receive a diagnosis, and f*** those people who want to hand out diagnoses to everyone.🙏
Projection in Psychology ·
I suppose I agree with your assessment 👍
Projection in Psychology ·
Some wise folks say what irritates us most about others is actually just a reflection of what we hide within ourselves. I knew this one guy who couldn't stand seeing overweight kids on TV because it triggered memories of his own childhood struggles with weight. I suppose the same logic applies to personality traits. Could this be classified as projection?

If it is meant to be, believe me, you will meet him, and after that, nothing will ever be the same again...

Kudos to you; it's clear there’s been some kind of spiritual shift happening on your end. I still maintain, though, that the true measure of any religion or spirituality—whether it's genuine or just from Satan—is the actual change it produces within a person. It really comes down to one simple question: after all the initiations and meditation, has the person actually become better? Are they more capable of showing love to themselves and others, or are they just the same as before? In some cases, unfortunately, they might even be worse...

I heard a story once from an officer at the LAPD—this guy was being arrested because he’d completely torn his mother apart and was trying to shove all her remains down a high school toilet.

Apparently, his whole goal was to let a demon loose... ☕

Too many people just plead insanity in court nowadays to dodge responsibility; it seems to be the new trend...

And honestly, I couldn't tell you what's actually "perfect" about this world...

Everything in this life is flawed and temporary. There is far too much evil and not enough love. But God still exists...

As for the kid's specific issue, I suppose he’s the only one who truly knows what he's going through. It seems to me that too many people rely solely on psychiatric hospitals, where medicine fails them, while perhaps something spiritual might actually offer some help. One should probably try everything.

Sean Moore9 said:You could hold every PhD on the planet and boast a 160 IQ, yet still be a mindless, narrow-minded fool peddling fairy tales and nonsense.☕☕
I'm not claiming to be a genius. You might have the degree and a higher IQ, but none of that intellect helps you see that it's all just fiction. You were brainwashed from birth by priests and parents feeding you stories about heaven, hell, God, and the devil. I was actually given a choice. I attended religious studies classes and went to Mass at the start and end of every school year, but all those sermons from the clergy were nothing more than a joke to me.😁

Mrg, just for your information, my spiritual path started with meditation and Hinduism, but I suppose I've ended up back with Christianity because it feels more natural to me

Sean Moore9, I see you think you're some kind of genius while labeling me primitive just because I believe in a higher power. For your information, I have a college degree, so I'm highly educated, whereas I have no idea what your credentials are... though I suppose I shouldn't judge someone's intelligence based solely on their schooling.

Sean Moore9, your atheism is your own business, just let other people believe whatever they want. I used to be an atheist myself, but I didn't go around trying to force it on everyone else...

I guess I somewhat agree with you; maybe it really is psychological. There's a spiritual help center in Washington, D.C., located at vodnikov 2, run by a solid priest who I believe also works as a psychologist. As far as I know, they even have their own psychiatrists on staff just to make sure nothing falls outside their scope. Their website is cdp.hr.

I suggest you start by finding a priest to bless your home and offer up some prayers. If anything tries to attack you, just command it to leave your apartment in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I've heard that quoting passages from the Bible, maybe a Psalm, can drive demons crazy. I suppose other credible religions probably have their own effective ways of dealing with evil entities too. Maybe knowing that a positive force is always stronger than any negative one will help calm you down.
