Grab a test! (For anyone wondering if they're pregnant)

Regarding the tests, I don't think the brand matters much unless you're specifically looking for one designed for early detection, which doesn't seem to be the case here based on what you wrote. This month, I was absolutely convinced I was pregnant right after ovulation; I took a Clearblue test on the day my period was due and it was positive. But then I had some spotting the next day, took a cheap drugstore test, and it was negative. I even had my blood work done yesterday and it came back negative, so according to my doctors, it wasn't a pregnancy. I couldn't afford the fancy tests back then anyway. Just pick up a mid-range one and take it in the morning. As for the pregnancy itself, when was the first day of your last period? If you are truly 36 days late, a pregnancy really should have shown up on an ultrasound by now. In my experience, everything was visible by the 7-week mark counting from the start of my last period. Unless there's a typo in how many days you're late, there shouldn't be any error on the ultrasound.🤷
I've heard people say a test might give a false positive if there's even a tiny trace of blood in your urine. I think I read that somewhere else on this forum... I mean, it seems pretty unlikely, but I think someone was quoting their OB-GYN about it.
