Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
Hey ladies!

So, my last period was about four days late. I finally got it last Thursday, and it wrapped up this past Monday.
The thing is, ever since it finished, I’ve been seeing this light pink spotting on the toilet paper once a day—you know, that weird color you get right at the very end of a cycle when everything is tapering off.
Is it possible this is just some leftover residue from my period, or is it something else?😕
I’m honestly a bit confused. Some people have told me that cycles can get totally thrown off by stress or even the weather, and honestly, the weather has been absolutely insane lately—one day it's like 50 degrees and the next it's hitting 80.

casualbear17, maybe you're dealing with the same kind of thing.

honestly, I kind of figured it was all about that, or maybe just the 'brand name' hype
personally, I'm totally fine with the simple strip; I don't really need anything fancy or high-end 😁

Thanks for getting back to me. If my period doesn't show up, I'm going to retake the test on Tuesday.
By the way, what's the deal with these tests? What's actually the difference between the $6.75 one and the one I grabbed yesterday for like ten bucks at CVS? The lady behind the counter mentioned there's also one for $33.
Even the cheap one claims it can pick up a pregnancy 3-5 days before you're even due for your period, and both say they're highly sensitive at 25 mIU hCG. It all feels a bit much, honestly.
So, should every single test show a positive result on the very first day I miss my period—which would be exactly 14 days after the actual encounter?
I was supposed to get it yesterday, but nothing yet. I ended up taking two tests yesterday afternoon, and both came back negative.
Can I even trust these things?

Thanks, Josipa
