Thanks, casualfalcon49. Look, we’ve used protection for years, but over the last few months, things have been a bit more reckless. I wasn't oblivious to the risks when I was being careless, 🙂 but there was this irrational thought in my head—that it couldn't just happen that easily. Turns out, I was wrong. But honestly, like I mentioned before, a pregnancy wouldn't even be such a disaster; I just need to get a few other areas of my life in order first. Maybe next year I'll actually be part of the "expecting" crowd instead of just dreaming about it. Who knows? 😍 Best, 😉
Just wanted to give an update: my period finally showed up today. 🎉 Honestly, those doctors really gave me a scare. I still can't quite pin down what those specific symptoms were, though. Given how heavy the flow is, I highly doubt we're looking at a pregnancy. Anyway, thanks to everyone for the input. 😉
Alright, thanks. 🙂
Look, I know, but I’m still planning to get it done today. And then tomorrow. Which test should I actually pick up? I don't want to waste money on something overpriced. Thanks for the input, ladies. 👍
Obviously, anything beats being clueless. I’ll let you know how it turns out. I just have to make it through the rest of this day first. 🙂
If you were supposed to get your period on July 18th, then your ovulation was likely around July 5th. Since you mentioned having sex starting then, the withdrawal method isn't a guarantee—you could absolutely be pregnant. If your ovulation timing was different, I might be more optimistic, but based on what you said, I’m skeptical.

And look, if your cycles are regular, you can easily track when you ovulate. Just avoid sex during that window. Mark your expected period on a calendar and count back 14 days—that's your ovulation window. No sex if you aren't looking for a baby![/QUOTE

I know how the math works. I've used those online ovulation calculators on WebMD before, and they've always been spot on. I track everything in my planner too. My period arrived exactly when I thought it would. Besides, I’ve had unprotected encounters during fertile windows in the past and nothing ever happened. Of course, I'm not saying there's zero chance. 🙂 I was just hoping for the best, but now I'm starting to sweat a little. It hasn't shown up yet. So, if it doesn't arrive today, it's officially late. Honestly, a positive wouldn't be the end of the world, but I'd much rather it stay negative for now. 😕 Thanks for the input. 😉
Thanks for the input, casualfalcon49 🙂 Obviously, I know that’s not how you protect yourself. I’m constantly digging through symptoms online because I don't want to jump to conclusions based on nothing. So, I'll hold off on the test until tomorrow—assuming my period actually shows up. Does anyone know if there's a cheaper test available at a drugstore somewhere? 😕
I had unprotected sex on July 2nd and July 5th—withdrawal method. My last period started on June 20th. But for about a week now, I’ve been dealing with constant headaches, and for the last couple of days, the dizziness has kicked in. My breasts feel heavy and swollen; they don't ache, but my nipples are incredibly sensitive to touch. On top of that, I'm running a fever every single night. This isn't how PMS usually hits me. Since last night, I’ve had these intense abdominal cramps like my period is coming, but nothing has happened. My cycles are extremely regular, and I was actually due today. I realize I technically have two days left, but these symptoms are throwing me off. Oh, and I’ve been craving eggs every single day 🤷 Any advice would be appreciated, thanks 👍
