Aside from those two pregnancies, my period has only been late once in my entire 12-year reproductive history. 😁
The only weird thing—which definitely played into this timing issue during my fertile window—was that my last two cycles before conceiving had shortened from a standard 28 days down to just 25.

Anyway, good luck... I really hope you get the result you're looking for once you take that test.🙂

My period just started. I really hope it isn't a false alarm.😁
amberranger9 said:Well, here's the thing... men release pre-ejaculate before they even finish. If he just went in with the tip, he could have left enough behind in you. And if there was enough sperm in that fluid, it can hitch a ride on your cervical mucus straight toward the fallopian tubes. If you were ovulating, pregnancy is on the table.
THEORETICALLY speaking. Look, I studied probability and statistics at college, but honestly, I can't give you a specific percentage for your chances of being pregnant.

edit: At the end of the day, does the math even matter? Your period is late. You had unprotected, risky sex.
You can wait for your period, or you can take a test.
If you've decided to just sit around and wait for your period, then I don't really get why you're even interested in this thread. Anyone here is going to tell you the same thing: go take a test. It sounds like you're just scared to do it.
Statistics aren't going to help you here. You basically have two options.
And you've already picked one.
What I'm trying to say is, don't lean on the logic of: "But this rarely happens, so what are my chances?"
The odds of hitting the Jackpot in the lottery are basically zero, yet people still walk away with huge winnings every single day. 😁

I was in my non-fertile days; it happened 2-3 days after my period ended. My cycle is regular, usually 27 to 30 days.
I already bought a test, I just came here to "vent" first.
thanks for the help
amberranger9 said:It really doesn't matter if it was five seconds or five minutes. There’s pre-ejaculate, and sperm can hang around for up to five days. If the volume was enough, you could definitely end up pregnant.

Anyway, you can either spend the next few days stressing out while waiting for your period, or just go grab a $10 for a pregnancy test and finally get some peace of mind.

So, what are the odds that this actually happened? And more importantly, how?
Rebecca Vaughn7 said:Look, why haven't you just taken a test yet? It doesn't even have to be your first urine of the morning. Just cut back on the fluids and hold it for a few hours, then go for it. You could clear up all this anxiety and guesswork in ten minutes flat.
Good luck—keep us posted.😉

I guess I'm just terrified of what the test might actually show. I suppose I'm just hoping my period shows up instead. If it doesn't arrive by next week, I'll definitely take one.
Dennis Johnson3 said:Look, you’re probably not pregnant. I remember once being apart from my partner for a whole month and my period was late—I was convinced I was pregnant, though I have no idea how that could have even happened.😁
The reality is that your cycle is late, which is triggering this absolute panic—and suddenly, everything feels possible.

Yeah, I just hope everything turns out okay. It's already day 29 since my last period, and usually, it shows up by day 25.👎
amberranger9 said:You literally have an entire thread dedicated to "getting pregnant from pre-cum."

The odds aren't actually as low as people want you to believe; just look at how many women on this forum ended up pregnant after similar situations.

Yeah, I get that. But the thing is, he literally just went in and pulled out immediately—and without a condom, too. I honestly don't see how anything could even happen in those few seconds. It would be incredibly frustrating if I got pregnant from that while other women struggle for years to conceive.🤷 🤷
Dennis Johnson3 said:Pick up a kit from $10, take the test, and finally put these doubts to rest.

I'll do it, thanks. I was just curious to see what people on here thought before I actually pull the trigger and buy the test.
I don't know, maybe I'm just being ridiculous, but when I was actually terrified, there was absolutely no way I could be pregnant given everything that happened. But back when I was feeling those symptoms... I honestly have no idea if it was just exam stress or something else entirely. Still, thanks anyway. I'll definitely be more careful next time.
So, about three weeks ago, I had my first sexual encounter with this guy—if you can even call it that. Basically, he tried to go in without a condom, which totally freaked me out. I told him we needed one, but then the same thing happened twice more after that. We were both drinking, so I guess we weren't being careful enough. He didn't even finish, and the whole thing lasted maybe five minutes. Now, my period is two or three days late, and it’s usually incredibly punctual. I'm convinced I might be pregnant, though everyone keeps telling me to just relax and that there's no way. Honestly, I was dealing with finals at college until last week, so I've been under a massive amount of stress, which caused some digestive issues too. My breasts were also sore for a couple of days, though they usually hurt right before my period starts. I'm starting to panic a bit. My stomach is cramping like it does before my period, but everything just feels... off. I'm planning to see a doctor this Thursday because I can't deal with the anxiety anymore. What are the actual chances of pregnancy here? I'll admit, I'm really not well-informed about any of this, which is pretty pathetic, I know. I wasn't exactly planning on having sex, so I didn't bother researching anything beforehand. Thanks for any help.
