Steven Wilson70 said:The girls mentioned you could find cheap bows over in Canada, but I'm not totally sure! I picked up 50 of them in NYC (they ship whenever you need them) for $17!! Now some of my friends living nearby are making them for me too—not pre-made, though, they actually shape them by hand themselves!! 🙂

Those pre-made bow packs from the Canada corridor come in sets of 10 for $2, maybe around $2.75 if I remember right! My godmother used them this weekend. They even have silk organza options!!

Anyone know what their rates are? I can't find a price list anywhere. So Tobler is actually doing the work for us?

Hey, does anyone know those guys from Albuquerque who do light shows? Any idea what they usually charge?

Hey, has anyone here actually seen or heard the League's folk band from Indianapolis? I'm thinking about catching them soon, so I'd love to hear what you guys think!

I know a guy named David from Savannah—he’s actually doing my shoot. He’s affordable and honestly great, though it really just depends on what vibe you're going for. Personally, I’m not looking for those super over-edited Photoshop shots, and he doesn't even do that kind of stuff since it drives the price up. But his "natural" photos? Man, they are absolutely stunning.😍

Jacob Grant said:Oh, wow, that's wonderful news! You've truly made my day!😍 Does she travel to other cities just to get her makeup done? I wonder how much they charge when she's out of town.😕 What’s the actual difference between everyday makeup and bridal looks? Is it just a different foundation, or am I missing something?

I honestly have no clue... her schedule is absolutely packed, so I really can't say for sure!! Wedding day makeup is $50 but the trial is more flexible—you just pick a time that works for you. Looking at her photos, I'd bet yes, but don't quote me on that!!🙂

Jacob Grant said:Has anyone here worked with the makeup artist from Victoria's Secret over in Indianapolis?

I actually hired her for my wedding... she did my friend's makeup and she looked absolutely stunning. You can find her work photos on Facebook if you want to see. Everyone says she's such a sweetheart, too...😍

Matthew Garcia9 said:Hey ladies! Does anyone know where I can pick up some cork stoppers for those Orangina-style bottles around Indianapolis or the surrounding area? I checked the wedding supply aisle at the local grocery store, but nothing fits—they're either way too small or way too huge. I’ve basically hit up every shopping mall in the area and still haven't found the right size. If anyone has a lead, please let me know!!
I have a massive pile of bottles and zero stoppers, which is starting to stress me out. The wedding is in 13 days and I’m still stuck without them... ugh. 😲 🙂
Thanks for the help!!!

Check Tower Records, they should have 20 of them$6.75!

Expect to pay anywhere from $3,000 up to $1667. Nikolina has the best selection and they're super sweet—at least, that's been my experience..😍

The price was actually a bit higher just over a year ago. $50 First and second courses are already on the table, plus all the drinks. This guy claims he can fit 300 people in there, but I don't buy it—that’s just overkill. Depending on how you set up the tables, you're probably looking at closer to 250. You could always just rent out a hall and handle everything yourself to save some cash, but honestly, if the price stays this high, it's just not worth the hassle. If you want to go that route, reach out to Joe Miller in Springfield. Shoot me a DM.
Is it actually okay to drop my number like this?🙂
Can't do that here. Shoot me a DM instead. 😉 Mayo

And is it actually possible to book a venue three months out? 😁

Also, what’s the going rate for wedding dresses in Indianapolis? Where can I find the best deals?

Does anyone know where I can pick up some rosemary?

How many of them are traveling out there?

Robert Moore86 said:Wait, what are we even talking about here? I get that if you're at a formal banquet, there have to be labels on everything... but am I supposed to have a formal declaration for snacks in my own backyard during a get-together? These people are in my house, not out in some public park..

Excuse me??!! Since when do you need a formal declaration for cookies at home? Is just the declaration enough, or do you need a receipt too? My Fiancé's mom works at a bakery and they were going to grab some sweets for the wedding, but she can't get a receipt—just a declaration—because the treats are free!

Robert Moore86 said:Where are you guys picking up drinks—both sodas and alcohol—plus the desserts for hosting guests before heading out to church and the reception hall? Looking for spots around Indianapolis and the surrounding areas... also, are you planning on having pre-packaged treats to hand out to people as they leave the venue? How much should I actually get?

There's a place in a small town in Ohio and another one, but I can't recall the name right now... basically, whatever you don't drink, you return... As for the pastries, it just depends on how big of a plastic container you grab, but those places know exactly what they're doing, so honestly, just ask them... personally, I don't sweat the details too much, but everyone loves leftovers the next day, so I'm still mulling it over!! Maybe I'll just order from Grandma's Bakery or maybe Magnolia... I think that's the name.. my aunt works there and their cakes are actually bigger than Grandma's, plus they're a little cheaper!! 😍

brightbison102 said:Yeah, but if you could throw some recommendations my way along with a ballpark figure on what I should expect to pay, that would be great.
thanks

I ended up going with David Photography! The photographer's name is David and his shots are seriously incredible!!! They don't look fake at all—you can actually see every single detail and shade clearly!!! For the price, you get $1400-an album, 300 photos, and 3 DVDs. But honestly, you can just tell him what you're looking for and he'll put together a custom package for you!😍

Jeffrey Walker3 said:As far as I knew, the newlyweds usually pick up the tab for the band's dinner...

Ugh... we totally blanked on what we actually agreed to pay them 😂 🙈
I went ahead and converted everything into dollars in my planner and wrote down $11,000, rounding up just to be safe... but now we're both just sitting here clueless 🤣

Only I could pull something this clumsy 😁

😁 Honestly, if there’s no live band, they usually charge 1,100 $0.00, but what does your total end up being? For me, it'll probably be around $333 + 1,200 + dinner for the six of them = about 1,500 $0.00. Plus, I have to feed the photographer and the videographer too, right? Maybe I should just stop writing everything down! 😁🙂

Jeffrey Walker3 said:That's just how we roll! 🙂

Man, I've had $1,400 ringing in my head since I woke up this morning! Maybe it’s just because we don't have a bluegrass band around here to drown out the thoughts.
I've got it written down somewhere, so I'll check later! My brain is totally blanking right now lol.

Honestly, they told us we shouldn't bother booking the band through them since most of the musicians are based out of Indianapolis, and since our wedding is happening in Des Moines, they figured it’d just be way more practical for us to find someone local!

I had an awesome time with them! I actually got to chat with two or three of the band members, and they were all just so chill and down-to-earth. It was a total breeze working everything out with them!

Well, at least the kid's brother is negotiating with the Strossmayer band, so I'm sure everything'll turn out just fine! 🙂

Yeah, totally... those guys are seriously awesome, and if I'm being honest, their lead singer is incredible!!! If you don't mind me asking, how does the dinner and tip situation work? I know we pay the tip per guest, but do they cover their own dinner, or is that on us too? Because if they cost me $15 per person $0.00!!!!! if I'm paying for everything, that's way too much!!😢

Omg, I totally wrote that wrong!!! my bad!!! 😁

Here’s the link to their website:
Check out this blog about an Elvis Presley band! It's pretty cool, I guess.

frozenangler87 said:Man, those guys from Elvis Presley are seriously good. It’s such a bummer our date is already booked.
Believe me, you won't regret spending a single cent on them. I've been to a few weddings where they played, and honestly, I was just blown away! I danced so much that I didn't even notice my feet hurting. I didn't realize how bad it was until I checked my legs the next day! 🤣
If I remember right, they're playing a welcome event at the plaza in Columbus, so if you don't have plans, maybe a quick trip to Columbus would let you check them out!

We ended up finding some other group in the end. 🙂I think it's an orchestra. To be honest, I have no clue how they sound. We got them through a recommendation from a good friend who used to play in a band himself but had to quit because of work. So, I trust his word! Whatever happens, happens!
I guess I can only hope everything turns out okay!

So, how long does it actually take for those guys from Elvis Presley to show up? We already dropped a deposit on the orchestra... if we end up canceling, do we even get our money back? I heard you don't always get the full amount back, just a chunk of it. Where did you find that group of sax players anyway?🤷😕

Jeffrey Walker3 said:Wait, they don't have their own musicians? They told us they don't actually have any folk bands on staff, just some names they could recommend instead...

Our date is October 1st and we're looking at about 200 guests, but honestly, I can't remember the prices off the top of my head... let me check with my guy and get back to you 😁

Though, I'm assuming the guest count shouldn't really change the price per person, right?

Hold up, are we even talking about the same band? 🤔 🤷 There might be a few different groups with names that sound similar

Oh, speaking of music, has anyone ever checked out the Rockefeller ensemble? 🙂

I'm talking about the ones from the old local band—the contact person is Alen!😉
