If anyone is looking for custom painting for their brandy or cherry liqueur bottles, I highly recommend this artist from Ernest. She's located just outside of Indianapolis, about a 15-minute drive. Her work is stunning—she can do anything from classic Midwestern patterns to custom text or any design you can dream up.

You can check out some of her work at this link:

Has anyone ever made the trip over to Mexico just to stock up on booze? I need to grab another 10L of herbal liqueur, 15L of bourbon, 10L of vodka, and 90L of concentrated juice (TO)

I’m honestly not sure if it’s worth making two or three separate trips for this. I have no clue what the price difference is between here and there, so if anyone can help me out, please! I need to get moving soon since the wedding is less than a month away. 🙂

In case anyone is still looking for some wedding perks, I’ve still got a few things left from the expo:
* A shot from Joe from Springfield — two gift vouchers for $167% off wedding photography packages at www.foto-joe.com
* L'Amour Bridal from Columbus — a gift voucher for $167% off any wedding dress priced over $1000

If you want one of these vouchers, just let me know.🙂

I actually heard them play at my cousin’s wedding. They only took breaks for dinner, and they were fantastic. We actually just booked them for our own wedding this June.

Plus, everyone I've asked has nothing but great things to say about them.
I'm not sure when your big day is, but they stay incredibly busy. If you're thinking about booking them, you should definitely reach out ASAP.🙂

Does anyone know the typical price for a serving platter at places like Walmart, Intermarché, or Billi? I'm looking for the best deal.

I need some for my place before the wedding, so I’m just trying to get an idea of the cost.

Our wedding is in June, and we were hoping to book this studio out of Indianapolis http://studio-light.net/ but they're already fully booked. Their photos look wonderful, though I haven't seen any of their video work anywhere. If anyone knows of someone similar, I would be so grateful... thanks!

Hey! We were actually torn between that studio and the one we eventually picked—Frank and Petrić. The pricing is pretty much the same, and both their photos and videos are excellent.

The only catch is if we're both looking at the exact same date, because my wedding is also in June. 🙂

Has anyone here dealt with Chic in Indianapolis regarding hair or makeup services?

Michelle Taylor said:Please tell me what you picked up in Canada and where. I’m lost. I’m there almost every day because I’m getting married there. Maybe it's because I'm there so often that everything feels empty. 😁 I'm planning on DIY-ing a massive amount of this myself. I'll even be crocheting little butterfly hats for the bottles I want to label. Where did you get those bottles? (I'm assuming they're Schweppes)

I bought the Orangina bottles at a local grocery store—they were only 50 cents each.

Has anyone here actually used Chic in Indianapolis for hair and makeup? I feel way more comfortable booking everything with them in one go. It's just safer than risking a makeup artist not showing up on my wedding day—which, apparently, happens more often than you'd think...

lonedriver8 said:Hello there... I was hoping someone might be kind enough to clear something up for me regarding wedding invitations. Is it actually true that some bridal salons include them for free when you rent a gown? I remember back when I was looking three years ago at Nicholas in Indianapolis, they used to throw them in as part of the package. Does anyone know if that’s still how things work these days?

It’s definitely not a universal rule. Even the shops that offer them don't always include them; usually, it's just a special promotion. I recently checked with a boutique in Austin, and they mentioned that during January and February, they're running a deal where you get 100 free invitations if you rent a gown. You should probably call around and check specifically with the places you're looking at.

The county office is open. Everything is moving forward exactly as planned. kaže:
I sent you a message. There's a discount included. $167I didn't win the raffle, but I did get a bouquet! 🙂)))😍 At the flower shop. 🤣

I think I'll pass. You can offer that to someone else, since my wife already got hers from the salon. $133 The holiday discounts are basically here, so I’m going to hold off on overdoing it for now. 🙂

No worries, it’s all good.🙂

Hey, would I still be able to snag that discount? To be honest, I already put down a deposit on my wedding dress at a bridal salon in Indianapolis a few days ago, so I’m not sure if I can even use it.

What kind of discount are we talking about here? Is it just on the new collection or does it cover everything? And did you actually win that through the raffle? I went to the trade show myself, but I didn't walk away with anything like that.

Oh, and I definitely need catering for the house party, including tents. I assume most companies offer that, but finding the right one is my biggest headache. We live in an apartment, but we're expecting a huge crowd, so I was thinking about setting up a tent right in front of our building... Has anyone tried doing that before? I'm worried about whether I need a permit or if I'll end up getting fined by the city... 🙂

Also, if anyone knows a great catering service that won't break the bank, please let me know!

I still need to pick out rings, which is why I'm wondering if the jewelers offer any special deals at the wedding expo. Will they even be there at the hotel? I didn't see any of them at Pampas last time.😢

I always tend to just drop in out of nowhere, but does anyone happen to have a recommendation for an affordable jeweler for wedding rings?! 🤷

I'm not entirely sure what specific details you're looking for. My boyfriend and I spent some time walking around downtown Indianapolis, checking out a few different jewelry stores. In the end, we decided to go with Glamour, located right across from the St. Peter's cathedral, to pick up both wedding bands. $467Honestly, that’s a steal compared to everything else out there. We just went with classic white gold bands—nothing fancy, just a nice mix of polished and matte finishes. Plus, engraving is free everywhere you go.

We were actually aiming for something simple. All those plain bands without any extra gems or fancy details end up costing around $2,000. Since the one we liked wasn't particularly bulky, it actually turned out to be even more affordable.

The jeweler gave me some advice today. They mentioned that if I choose a ring with a side stone, there’s a risk it could fall out. Sure, getting the stone reset isn't a huge deal, but the real issue is sizing. If the stone comes out, you can't easily resize the band later if your finger changes.
It’s the same story with any ring that has fancy engravings or extra decorations. Over time, all those details just wear down. They smooth out until they eventually look just as plain and simple as this one.

Gold is basically currency at Glamour. $100 They don't offer any cash discounts here, even though you can get them at other places. $117 You can snag a 10-15% discount if you pay in cash. That brings the total right back to where you started. At that point, it really just comes down to your personal taste.

Some friends of mine headed down to Mexico because they thought it would be cheaper. They ended up paying for it. $933 It’s a bit unconventional, but if you’re leaning towards something simpler, your best bet is to just scout around town. Honestly, the price mostly comes down to the weight—basically how chunky you want that ring to be. Just hit up a few local jewelers and see what fits.

Well, I hope that helps! 🙂

Can anyone recommend a catering service that provides their own tents and full equipment? I'm based out of Indianapolis... I'm also looking for floral recommendations—does anyone know a budget-friendly florist that handles wedding decor?

Hey, can anyone help me out?

Has anyone here ordered cigarettes from Belić before? I'm trying to figure out if getting Jeremiah is actually worth it through them. I heard prices in Mexico are about the same as they are here in the States, and apparently, they're slightly cheaper in Canada. It might make the most sense to just go through Belić... also, if you have any tips or info on any other brands, let me know. Thanks! 🙂

Has anyone ever ordered flowers from the Palm Beach florist in Savannah?
I just saw their booth at the trade show and their work looks great. Their prices seemed pretty reasonable too, so I was wondering if anyone here has actually used them before?

Also, what’s the general price range for flower arrangements lately? Does anyone have a recommendation for a good, budget-friendly spot?

For those who bought the orange juice bottles from the local grocer, where did you pick up the replacement caps? Did you find them at the farmers market or somewhere else?

Quick question: has anyone here tried DIYing their own table decor for a banquet hall, or are you planning to? I'm honestly not sure if the effort is actually worth the savings...

I haven't had a chance to check local florist pricing yet, so if anyone knows of some affordable options in the area, please let me know!
