Hey everyone,
So, I’m 30 now, and I’ve been dealing with this broken nose ever since I took a tumble when I was 9. Back then, doctors basically told me I should get surgery once I turned 18 because one nostril is almost completely blocked—which leads to constant sinus infections and makes sitting in the dentist's chair an absolute nightmare—and the other side has widened out just from trying so hard to pull in air. Honestly, I was terrified of the whole thing, so I just avoided it and lived with the insecurity, which mostly just ate at me during my teen years. But now that I’m thinking about starting a family soon, someone suggested I finally get it fixed to avoid any breathing complications during childbirth, and they pointed out that the longer I wait, the more complicated things might get. I’ve been scrolling through your posts and seeing all those doctor recommendations, but I wanted to see if anyone here has dealt with something similar where it wasn't just about looks? Like, how were your results and is there anyone specific you'd swear by? Thanks! 🙂

Honestly, my experience was that Victoria just didn't show up—not even a courtesy text or a call to say she couldn't make it, nothing. I was actually serving as the maid of honor at the wedding, and she was supposed to handle the makeup for both the bride and me! I am definitely not risking my look with her ever again, so if you're looking for someone, please pick anyone else but her!

Thanks so much, you guys! 🙂

Robin Chase7 said:Hey ladies, I was wondering if anyone knows where I might find a decent folk band—maybe something along the lines of TSK—that’s actually versatile enough to play all sorts of music? We're looking for a group that would be willing to perform a full dinner set rather than just playing some background tunes, all while staying within a reasonable budget, I guess.

Honestly, you can't go wrong with TSK.

quietcobra52 said:Honestly, they didn't do anything for me at the fair—even though they promised a discount. For our crowd of 400, between the cookies and the wedding cake, we ended up paying about $1167

Hey
quietcobra52, would you mind sharing what they charge per pound for the cookies? And if you have any idea about their cake pricing—like for just regular cakes or those fancy wedding ones? I'm trying to get a feel for the budget! Thanks so much! 🙂

Andrew James2 said:Hi everyone! I’m looking to gather some advice and firsthand experiences regarding live bands and photographers. For our band, we are specifically searching for a group with a female vocalist. Our top choice was originally SoundCloud, but unfortunately, they are already booked for our date on 😢. Right now, we are considering Twisties, The Band, or The Beach Boys. Personally, The Beach Boys and Twisties seem to have a much more upbeat and energetic vibe, but I am debating whether it is truly worth paying an extra $200 or $300 for them. If anyone here has attended a wedding where they were performing, I would love to hear your impressions...
As for photography, does anyone have experience working with Click photo and video? We looked into some of the major production houses, but their quotes are just astronomical. I have a feeling it might be possible to find high-quality work for significantly less money, wouldn't you agree?
Hallelujah

Regarding the band, my cousin actually hired Orion and they were seriously amazing, and out of the ones you mentioned, I've listened to Sto Posto before and they were pretty great too!

Has anyone actually been to that new Click salon over in Indianapolis yet? I'm dying to know if it's worth the hype!

I’d definitely try checking out Palm Springs—I know for a fact that Stella carries them...

Thanks so much! 🙂

They're looking for someone for just one afternoon, I guess. $833I mean, I know they’re a solid group, but maybe it's just a bit much?
Anyone else looking? I guess since those Midwest folk musicians released their new tracks and videos, they probably hiked up their prices too. Does anyone have a lead on someone else? $500Maybe around 2000 max? I guess.

Oh, hey! So, I actually reached out to that Slavonian Tamburaš group myself, and they’ll do it for under $2000, so I think I’m gonna pull the trigger on them. Honestly, they’ve been the best ones I’ve heard at weddings out in the Midwest, and since the price is right, why not?
Just a month ago, I was at this wedding where Zlatan Klas played—they're definitely cheaper, but honestly, they just didn't wow me 😢
. The only other people recommended were Kas, but I don't know, I heard they're more expensive, and since I haven't actually seen them live, I really don't want to take the gamble, even though they did win that one TV show, so you'd think they'd be great.

Hey everyone, does anyone happen to know where I can track down some nice candle holders—you know, the ones meant for 3 or 5 candles? I'm looking to use them as centerpieces for table decor. Thanks a bunch!

Patrick Morris6 said:It probably depends on if you're just giving them a heads-up or actually sending out invites. If it's official invitations, then yeah, a month or two out is fine, but otherwise, you should probably call them way earlier. Like, several months... we’re planning to start calling people for September just so we can get an actual headcount.
Also, does anyone have a recommendation for a good local bluegrass band near Indianapolis? We booked a full band, but we're still missing some backup musicians...
And btw, someone was asking about that photographer Kelley—well, we went ahead and booked them, so we'll see how it goes 🙂 They have a special deal running through the end of February, they seem pretty decent and the price is reasonable. We'll figure out the rest after the wedding...😁

So, my cousin actually had this live country music band play at her place last year, and oh man, they were absolutely incredible! Like, seriously talented. I can't quite remember what they charged, though—I'm totally blanking on the price tag, honestly.
So, regarding her photographer, she went with Marinko Šarić—and I actually saw someone online asking what he’s like to work with. Honestly? From what I can tell, everything was top-notch. We're talking gorgeous shots, custom thank-you cards, even the DVDs were all handled perfectly. Everything looked super polished. But, just a heads-up if you're looking for a specific vibe: he doesn't necessarily shoot every single photo in one uniform style. He put together this absolutely stunning album that featured a mix of different styles, shapes, and sizes, which was actually really cool to look at, while the rest of the shots were tucked away on the DVDs. Oh, and she definitely made sure to pay extra for those thank-you cards because they were just that good!
