THE FALL OF THREE 'MIRACLE WORKERS AND PROPHETS' FROM THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. Five years ago, Newt Gingrich, Andrew Cuomo, and Elon Musk were the golden boys, but today? Nobody gives them a second thought.

Word on the street from CNN is that Secretary of Defense Tomo Medved is gonna be heading up the Republican Party's candidate list for the 7th district.

Earlier this morning, party leader Andrej Plenković held a meeting at the White House with his former rival, Davor Ivo Stier. According to CNN, Stier actually managed to snag himself a spot on the Republican list for that same 7th district.

Stier was all over Facebook last night giving the administration a massive thumbs up.

"The US is set to receive 10 billion dollars from the EU through the #NextGenerationEU fund. On top of that, through the long-term EU budget, we'll have access to over 150 billion dollars, which is double what we've seen in the last seven years. These results didn't just happen by accident; they're the product of the government's dedication, expertise, and sheer grind. This massive influx of cash is going to seriously supercharge America's economic growth," he posted.

then why the hell is he still a moderator over there?

Christian Myers said:Well, it depends on how you say it. If you’re just joking around, it's fine. But if you're genuinely trying to be mean—like, actually insulting them—then it's not okay. It's kind of like me calling you a dork. In certain contexts, it's just banter, but in others, it could definitely sting.

So basically, it's fine if they call themselves chickens, but if someone else calls them chickens, then it's an insult. 🙄🙄🙄

I actually got banned for being "insulting" just because I called some of those mods useless hens

Is calling someone a hen really an insult?

Adam Doyle63 said:After twenty years on Reddit, I’ve come to realize that the sheer number of open threads is starting to lose its relevance entirely. Since we already have dedicated spaces for just about everything, our general policy is to avoid cluttering things up if there's already a similar topic or a group thread running, meaning that for the health of the site, actual user registrations and engagement levels carry far more weight than how many individual posts are being opened.

It would actually be pretty interesting to run a comparison between how things used to look back then versus how they stand today.

Yeah, but some people only hang out in specific chat threads for certain PDFs, so it looks like someone has 10,000 posts. But when you actually check where they got them, most of it is just hanging out in those PDF groups or just chatting, and I honestly have no idea why those even count toward the post total.

I've been a die-hard Eurovision fan since '93, basically following it religiously since then (first time I caught it was back when it was held in NYC in 1990)

I've actually got every single CD from 1956 and all the DVDs too—well, the originals starting from 2004

So, looking back at the last elections, he had his buddies on the ballot, but they basically went unnoticed because they were buried at the bottom. Now? They’ll probably be sitting pretty at the top of the list. Apparently, Plenković is feeling himself after that internal party win, so he’s likely not going to play nice or make many compromises—though he’ll have to dance for the state chairmen if he wants their support during the campaign, according to one high-ranking Republican. He reckons there's zero chance for guys like Mir Kovač or Milijan Brkić to get a spot, but he thinks Davor Ivo Stier and Tomislav Tolušić might actually squeeze into some positions. People are already gossiping behind the scenes about which Republicans will be running the show in different districts.

Inside the party, the word is that in the first district, just like before, the big boss Andrej Plenković will lead the charge. However, they think

in the second district, the Republican Secretary General Gordan Jandroković might take the reins.

- I'm thinking the third district will go to the Secretary of Homeland Security, Davor Božinović,

and in the fourth, the list will be led by the governor and party VP, Ivan Anušić.

In the seventh, it could be the Veterans Affairs Secretary Tomo Medved,

in the eighth, the Transportation Secretary Oleg Butković will head things,

and in the tenth, the Defense Secretary Damir Krstičević will be the man, says one Republican member.

He added that he's still not quite sure about the fifth, sixth, and ninth districts, but he bets one of those spots will probably, after doing such a solid job at the National Command Center, go to Health Secretary Vilije Beroš, though he wouldn't rule out a new female party VP, Zdravka Bušić, taking a lead role.

The French Football Federation just officially handed the title to Paris Saint-Germain for the 2019/2020 season since the government pulled the plug on all sports through September, according to The New York Times.
Word on the street is they’re getting rid of those state line checkpoints starting May 11th.

I’m calling it now—the elections are definitely going down in July.
Is it even gonna be possible to travel to another state next week?
I bet they won't even touch the travel restrictions between counties until after the Labor Day weekend. Honestly, I don't see them budging before then.
Butković: "We think some of the transport restrictions need to loosen up. Public transit should probably start rolling again, maybe just sticking to Sunday schedules for now. As for maritime stuff, we’re looking at setting up some ferry lines between Zadar-Ancon for freight. There's also this whole debate about transit convoys moving through the US; we think they shouldn't need a constant police escort anymore. They should just stick to the existing corridors and pull over at designated spots," said Butković, while reminding everyone once again that the epidemiologists get the final say on all of this.

He also mentioned they're looking into cutting highway tolls by 10 or 20 percent for Americans during the summer months.
fadedranger162 said:Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a spike in cases every five or six days just so they can claim, "See? We can't lift the restrictions yet."

I was saying the same thing after seeing a segment on your show. Now, everything has stalled—either because hospitals can't separate infected patients from everyone else, or because people are too terrified to even show up for essential checkups. I heard a doctor mention that cancer mortality rates are over 50%, yet even two weeks ago, the number of people coming in for screenings to catch things early had dropped several times below the usual levels.

For some people, these next two or three months are quite literally a matter of life or death. But I doubt those stats will be splashed across every news site for the next year like this whole COVID situation is. Not to mention, if you aren't literally dying, they barely even want to take you in—though apparently, that didn't help that guy out by the shopping mall either.

I honestly have no clue what the plan even is. I actually stopped following those pressers after those last few restrictions hit me personally. It started getting really grating how they act like they're high-and-mighty elites lecturing shepherds without any basic common sense.

I'm not saying you shouldn't treat everyone that way, but most people would appreciate an approach where they actually explain *why* certain rules are being introduced, how it'll work, how it'll be implemented, etc.

Did they actually say that out loud? 🤣

Yeah, Austria is dropping some measures tomorrow, so everyone's just sitting tight to see how things play out over there.
