Even before the discussions kicked off, I was already thinking about how the site administration had lost its way. I told the person leading the movement for new moderators straight up: this isn't going to work because the admin team has clearly lost its moral compass. It didn't take long for the proof to surface in the form of this post:

It's mind-blowing to me that anyone thinks the users are an afterthought or somehow separate from the community they build.

What are they actually going to do, tell the Chinese what price they should pay for Russian oil? Especially Lithuania. 🤣

Exactly. Lithuania won't be calling the shots. I have no idea where you got the notion that China has any right to make independent decisions on anything. Go back to writing fairy tales about how many Russian tanks are actually out there. ☕

Noah Diaz said:Russia managed to bypass the oil price cap and energy sanctions almost immediately, though that was predictable from the jump. They already had a shadow fleet ready to go and plenty of buyers waiting in Asia.

I think even this latest article shows how much pressure is being put on India. They want everyone to believe these sanctions are actually working, but it's all just Russian propaganda.

So, the sanctions are being bypassed, yet revenues are supposedly plummeting.
Something doesn't add up in your logic.

I scored 100 points on this post:

True. It’s not the Jews' fault for failing to follow Nazi Germany's laws.

What exactly is the issue here?
I used an extreme example to support my point: you have to follow the laws of whatever country you're currently standing in.

Prices skyrocketed last winter, not after the invasion started.
Why does everyone keep forgetting that and sweeping it under the rug?

They messed up this winter with all those warnings about us freezing, so they just shifted the goalposts to the next season. It’s the same pattern as the war: we went from "the Kyiv regime will fall in ten days" to "time is on Russia's side." The narrative shifts whenever it suits them.

Noah Diaz said:Where did I say it was just "available"?🤔
I said exactly this:

You can print money whenever you feel like it, but you can't just manufacture these top-tier resources on demand.

For example, if Russia destroys the infrastructure essential for food production or the power grid, the Ukrainians can't simply retaliate in kind.

Who holds the strategic advantage then? Who actually possesses the resource? At that point, all the money or economic strength in the world won't save you.

So we’re left with two realities: on one side, a civilized world where Russia is a dwarf, a nation that has explicitly stated it will do whatever it takes to support Ukraine—and is doing it. On the other side, we have people on forums pretending to be deeply concerned about American retirees, using that as an excuse not to sanction the aggressor.

In a few days, it will be exactly one year since this "special military operation" began. It revealed everything it did. Yet, some people here still try to convince us that what we see, hear, and read isn't happening. They want us to keep believing in the imaginary scale of a terrifying Russia and its army.

Take a look at your utility bills from Duke Energy...

What happens when the Government's relief measures expire on March 31st, 2023?

Just because the European Union managed to scrape by through one mild winter doesn't mean they've fixed the systemic issue of energy demand versus supply.

Honestly, the European Union hasn't even begun to address the core problem...

I couldn't care less about the Russian deficit. I'm just worried about what life is going to look like for the average American soon...

So, what exactly is your solution?
How much Ukrainian territory are you willing to hand over to Russia just to get cheaper fuel?

A few moderators here are clearly biased, but Jessica Morris6 is a whole different story.

Since I’m not getting any response, I’ll go ahead and follow the site's moderator guidelines.

Feel free to lock this thread.

Technically speaking, the moderators don't have the tools to issue warnings to one another, so we'll need someone from upper management to step in and make a call on this...
Personally, I wouldn't bother handing out any penalties, considering he wasn't just saying things for the sake of it...

🤦
Is there a rule in the forum guidelines stating that insults are permitted if they're deemed justified? Thanks.

To be precise, I filed an abuse report properly, and since nothing happened, I’m filing a formal appeal:

You are literally an idiot. Fine, I won't correct that one.

Is there really a shortage of competent people to serve as moderators?

Kenneth Cruz67 said:According to a recent survey by Promocija Plus, it looks like about 58% of Americans actually oppose training Ukrainian soldiers here in the States, while only 29% seem to be in favor of it.

I suppose Americans aren't as naive as the propaganda machines, those self-proclaimed fact-checkers, and certain media outlets would have you believe by trying to create this impression that everyone is standing firmly behind the Ukrainians.

This particular piece in Jutarnji feels like a very specific type of special feature, because it seems to interpret these numbers as if they were a vote against the HDZ. It’s almost as if they’re implying that anyone who supports Ukraine must be an HDZ supporter. 🤣

It’s such a bizarre, narrow choice they’re presenting, isn't it? You either have to be an HDZ-enjar or some sort of smelly Russophile.

Well, slow and steady wins the race, I guess, but eventually, even Anderlon will have to face reality. We all know how he tends to pivot when things get interesting. 😁

...as they prove at every single election.

Grace Jones86 said:It's pointless to argue over this point... we actually agree on the core issue here. 😵

We are all standing with Ukraine... not because of Ukraine itself, but because of us. Because of the West. Ukraine isn't exactly some shining model of anything desirable. 😉
Enough of that.

edit: by the way... I use the word "regime" because these are all regimes, regardless of whether they call themselves democracies. I don't actually believe in democracy, nor does any truly intellectual person. Who am I even talking to here?! 😕

Anyway... despite the stupid insinuations about my views, I am extremely anti-Russian. It's obvious in every single one of my posts. Anyone reading what I write about Russia can see that.

But no... I use the word regime, so clearly I'm just some Democratic Party paid hack... a Russian online troll. 🤣 🤣
What kind of hysteria is this?

It’s just like during COVID. No matter how neutral or analytical your take was, you were immediately branded a cold-blooded killer or a hater.🤣

If you don't know what a regime is, just Google it. No big deal.

I wasn't following anyone else's spin, just my own logic. Turns out my gut was right all along.

And what exactly constitutes proof here? Some guy mentioned it in a YouTube video, so it must be true? Yeah, common sense dictates you need a brain. That's obvious. It would be nice if these "truths" were actually backed by some real evidence once in a while...

It’s about time this forum stopped being cluttered with this garbage.

Just more standard propaganda trash with zero truth in it. I don't get how some people aren't bored to death trying to convince everyone to ignore their own eyes in favor of someone else's interpretation of reality.

Russophiles have finally come to terms with the fact that their supposedly invincible military just got humiliated in Ukraine. Now, all they can do is whine about nukes.

If Russia pulls the trigger, they won't back down afterward—especially not now, after they've already seized those territories and claimed them as their own. In his speech, he made it very clear: he believes a precedent for using nuclear weapons has already been set.

Right. They won't react, which just gives him the green light to do it again since he got away with it the first time.
No kidding.

Joshua Myers432 said:Let’s be realistic—what can the West actually do? They slapped sanctions on Russia, armed Ukraine, and isolated Russia. That’s the extent of it. If the Russians are strong enough to annex parts of Ukraine, you can howl at the Moon all you want.

And what does an annexation actually achieve for them? Absolutely nothing, as long as Ukraine keeps fighting. And they will, backed by massive amounts of military aid from the world's largest economies. What exactly can Ruzsiaj do? Bark at the Moon and throw around nuclear threats because they're clearly losing the war.

Obviously. We can all see the West isn't doing much to help Ukraine right now.
They probably got spooked by endless, empty threats from Putin and his massive military. I read somewhere that they're already digging trenches near Lisbon. ☕
