thanks 🙂 I know, I gotta head up to the infectious disease clinic to get those titers checked
Got a few stupid questions. It's been a while since I've had bloodwork done, so I was wondering—do I definitely have to go on an empty stomach? Also, what time do they usually wrap up blood draws at the East Community Health Center? I need to get my strep and staph titers, CRP, and L.

just come to Monte Paradiso, or maybe we can hit up some local dive bar instead
🤣 hvalisavac 😬
Whatever, I'll just ask 🙂
I mean, fine, half of them are basically like feraltrucker12, just super skeptical 😬
always 😁
ummm my friend is studying over in Europe, I wonder if they accept American IDs there too?
dick😲
good thing my bro is still in high school😬

This happens to me whenever I wear eyeliner. Like, if my eyes end up watering a bunch overnight—maybe from the wind or just bright lights—then I’m definitely going to have smudges all over the place by morning and throughout the day.

Nah, nah, not two years from when I signed up, but two years from actually getting active. 😁

hey feraltrucker55, like we already settled ☕
hollowseal33 said:yeah, you really hit the jackpot there 😬 🙂

Right? 🤣I knew I was being too much 🤣
these aren't some fancy setups like Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 😁
look, I wasn't asking for a free shuttle service. honestly, I wouldn't have even bothered trekking over to the park if they hadn't provided one.
it's just that when you organize something, you should actually do it right. they could've routed the buses differently to make it closer. anyway, those buses were meant for the general public.

just come to Monte, I'll drive you from the train station over to the suburbs in my car

+ I'll buy you a beer while you sit there telling me stories about how you used to wander through mountains and forests and festivals back in the day 😁
so stop nagging all the time 😘

(god, I hope that finally shuts them up 😬 )
Kevin Chavez3 said:you're pissed because he had to walk at a festival he walked to in the first place🙏 🙏 🙏

basically saying she walked all the way to Central Park and could've gone even further☕
Kevin Chavez3 said:guess I was wrong, someone managed to screw over the free shuttles because there weren't enough of them 🙏 🙏 🙏 and now they're pissed about having to walk to a festival they walked to in the first place 🙏 🙏 🙏

is this everyone's first time ever going to a festival or what? 😢

oh sure. yeah. I camped out because I live in NYC. right. 👍 🙄
hollowseal33 said:Holy crap. That was easily the worst hot dog I’ve ever had in my life. I took one bite, felt like I was chewing on grit, and just spat it right out. Ended up tossing the whole thing in the trash and just ate some bread instead. 😢

I just couldn't bring myself to try it. I mean, maybe things aren't always as bad as they look, but still... 🙏 I guess I used to be a total snack back in the day. Maybe. 😁
My stomach was acting up big time. Couldn't even handle a slice of bread, I guess. $5.00 Into the wind. 😠
Overall, it was a good vibe.

Missed Kawasaki :( made it to the end of BSS, watched Alice in Chains. Didn't get too crazy since I wasn't jumping much. They were alright.
Went hard at the afterparty later though, it was insane :P

Day two, my friend and I were late for the sets because the shuttle service around the park was a mess (more on that later). Caught Rise, though I mostly dig their older stuff. They killed it. Good energy, pretty chill :D
After them, Pendulum 🙏 honestly, I was surrounded by a bunch of teenagers and totally fit the look 😳 but man, the energy was wild. Just constant jumping and moshing 🤣 Glad I caught them, plus Rob is so freaking hot 🙂 🙂

Day three, rushed to see Scrawl, those guys are great. Vocals were amazing. Too bad they played so early because the crowd was thin. After that, we went hunting for food and found this sausage that looked and tasted disgusting (my friend tried it), so we reconsidered our life choices. Decided to gamble on another stand and got a decent hot dog 🙏 then went to grab some shirts. And ended up at Dubioza which absolutely crushed it :P
Jumping, singing—they totally won us over.
Caught the tail end of BSS. Sadly.
The Flaming Lips 🙏 epic start, ever. Crazy guy. Balloons. Confetti. More balloons 😍 Light show was gorgeous.
We didn't stay long, headed to Skindred instead. Never heard them before but they blew me away. That guy is intense. He had us acting like little monkeys 🤣 It was awesome.
And then finally, the long-awaited Flogging Molly. Perfect. Per-fect!!!!
Fun, carefree, and the lead singer just bouncing around the stage handing out beers
Got caught in a mosh pit that nearly killed me lol
Made it to the very end of Massive, and that was it.

Didn't really care for them. Sucks I missed more of the others (LCD, !!!, BSS).

We camped out. The campsite was great. We had everything we needed. Guys and girls there were always around to help. The lady running the food stall was totally sunburnt. She loaded us up with snacks :D

Big downside was how far the camp was from the stages :( It’s no joke walking 15-20 minutes lugging a heavy backpack when you arrive or leave. Especially when you're rushing to catch a set.
Minus points for transport because two buses weren't enough for everyone arriving. On Tuesday, we waited for the bus at the park entrance. One didn't even stop because it was packed. The second one did. I think there were at least 100 people inside. We should have gotten off near the camp, the bus stopped, but nobody got off because they didn't need to. But us? We couldn't get off because we were packed in like sardines :P So we took the next one and ended up walking back to camp again.

It was nice seeing some familiar faces and meeting new people and stuff :)
My Converse are trashed. Everything else got washed out lol

Next year, I'm only going if the lineup is freaking incredible. Otherwise, probably not :-p
so 😢 we grabbed a hot dog and it was honestly disgusting. I couldn't even look at how gross it was. We ended up getting one from a different vendor instead. Then we headed over to the main area. I mean, I've been to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival countless times and I'll be back since they're always playing festivals anyway 😬 I was basically dancing in the street while we were passing by the Bud Light stage 😁 I think the people around me were staring at me like I was crazy 😬
brightridge59 said:I used to always end up at stuff I hated just because "the crew" wanted to go. 🙄 You basically just fake being happy for a little bit.

And then you go home and you cry and you want to die. 😬

So were you stuck at the Bud Light stage the whole time?

I'm the exact opposite 😁 if I miss out on something I actually want, I just pretend I don't care.

and i stay home and i cry and i want to die 😬

ummm.... yeah 😁 I was at some of the sets (not all of them), near the BSS and Massive stages. Didn't hit the Ericsson stage at all (I wanted to catch The Killers but I was busy eating 😢 )
frozentinker432 said:It’s basically like thinking a band is decent enough on paper, but your brain just won't process them—like a transplanted organ your body is trying to reject.😢 But whatever, you still show up to the show, waiting for that one song you actually know, and halfway through you start squirming like your underwear is riding up in all the wrong places. Everything starts getting annoying, especially the crowd in the back complaining they only play hits when you can't even tell which song is a damn hit and which one is just mediocre. So you step outside for a smoke, come back for the end, tell everyone it was totally fine, go home, forget how much it sucked, but feel good because you checked off attending the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. 😕

I don't really do that anymore 😍

omg so fake and stupid 😲

If I'm not feeling it, I'm not going, no matter how trendy or cool everyone else thinks it is 🤷

Anyway, hanging out in front of Budweiser was the best part 😁 and overall a good time despite some flaws (I'll vent about that here later 😠 )
mud 😁
